Tiempo sin hacerles una reseñita y aunque he tenido en mente varias debido a que estos días he visto varias películas nuevas, quise hacer esta de primero porque tengo varias cosas que decir respecto a esta joya.
Voy a ser sincera, tenía muy bajas expectativas con respecto a este film debido a las múltiples reseñas negativas que he visto de ella, casi todas coincidían es que su humor era muy flojo y llegaba a rayar en lo absurdo pero no en el buen sentido; de igual forma mi interés por verla era muy alto porque presentía que podía ser lo que se conocen como "Shit Movie", o sea, una película que esta hecha mal a propósito, como Sharknado, pero que termina siendo muy buena por ese mismo detalle.
It's been a while since I've done a review and although I've had several in mind because these days I've seen several new movies, I wanted to do this one first because I have several things to say about this gem.
I'll be honest, I had very low expectations about this film due to the multiple negative reviews I have seen about it, almost all of them agreed that its humor was very weak and bordered on the absurd but not in a good way; in the same way my interest in watching it was very high because I felt it could be what is known as "Shit Movie", that is, a movie that is made badly on purpose, like Sharknado, but ends up being very good for that same detail.
Para empezar, una de las quejas que vi fue acerca de su estilo de "bajo presupuesto" y déjenme decirles que esta película puede tener de todo menos un bajo presupuesto, la imagen tiene una calidad increíble y los recursos cinematográficos están perfectamente utilizados: realmente estaba muy sorprendida de lo bien hecha que estaba esta peli a nivel de departamentos de dirección y producción.
Una "trama exagerada y un humor flojo" sí y no, la historia es una dramatización al 100% de un hecho que pasó en la vida real, llegando a ser bastante absurdo y descabellado pero ahí es donde está el chiste; el humor es increíble, no es un humor directo como muchas películas de comedia que te bombardean de chistes sino que son las acciones o situaciones tan bizarras que te matan de la risa.
To begin with, one of the complaints I saw was about its "low budget" style and let me tell you that this movie can be anything but low budget, the image has an incredible quality and the cinematographic resources are perfectly used: I was really surprised how well made this movie was at the level of direction and production departments.
An "exaggerated plot and lazy humor" yes and no, the story is a 100% dramatization of an event that happened in real life, becoming quite absurd and far-fetched but that's where the joke is; the humor is incredible, it's not straight humor like many comedy movies that bombard you with jokes but it's the actions or situations so bizarre that they kill you with laughter.
A pesar de no tener un súper casting, tampoco tiene uno de esos donde no se conoce ni mínimamente a alguien, son actores que ya hemos visto en múltiples películas o series de renombre y otras no tanto como Misión Imposible, Star Wars, Modern Family, entre otros.
No quiero hacer spoilers porque de verdad quiero que se tomen el tiempo de ir a ver esta película, pero debo admitir que tengo debilidad por esta clase de películas que son sumamente absurdas, bizarras y random, son el tipo de comedia que me gusta consumir y aunque el CGI de esta película tiene una calidad increíble, mientras más cutre sean los efectos especiales, más me gustan.
Despite not having a super casting, it doesn't have one of those where you don't even minimally know someone, they are actors that we have already seen in multiple movies or renowned series and others not so much like Mission Impossible, Star Wars, Modern Family, among others.
I don't want to make spoilers because I really want you to take the time to go see this movie, but I must admit that I have a weakness for this kind of movies that are extremely absurd, bizarre and random, they are the kind of comedy that I like to consume and although the CGI in this movie has an incredible quality, the more crappy the special effects are, the more I like them.
Casi que desde el minuto 1 ya me estaba riendo, de hecho, en una escena en particular donde el oso sale sentado de una forma muy chistosa, me dio un ataque de risa que tuve que pausar la película porque no podía ni respirar. Me gustó tanto esta película que considero que fue la mejor manera de despedir la carrera como vida artística de Ray Liotta, a mí me hubiese encantado que mi última puesta en escena haya sido semejante joya cinematográfica.
Cocaine Bear no es muy larga, realmente la hora y media que dura se te va volando, lo siento por el spoiler pero en lo personal siento que su final te deja la puerta abierta para una secuela y si eso sucede, espero no vayan a arruinarlo todo como pasa muy a menudo con las secuelas.
Almost from minute 1 I was already laughing, in fact, in a particular scene where the bear is sitting in a very funny way, I had a fit of laughter and I had to pause the movie because I couldn't even breathe. I liked this movie so much that I think it was the best way to say goodbye to Ray Liotta's career as an artist, I would have loved for my last performance to have been such a cinematic gem.
Cocaine Bear is not very long, really the hour and a half that lasts flies by, sorry for the spoiler but personally I feel that its ending leaves the door open for a sequel and if that happens, I hope they are not going to ruin everything as it happens so often with sequels.
Sé que este tipo de películas y/o el humor que manejan no son para todo el mundo, cada quién tiene sus gustos y preferencias pero sinceramente considero que esta no tiene perdida, lo que sí les aconsejo es que la vean sin niños porque, a pesar de ser un humor bastante suave o digerible, sus escenas pueden ser bastante impactantes debido a lo explicitas que pueden ser. Tampoco vayan a pensar que si son sensibles a la sangre, destripamientos o desmembramientos no van a poder ver la película, de hecho eso es parte fundamental del humor, pero para un niño sí puede ser algo muy impactante de ver.
No voy a decir que todas esas personas que dijeron una mala reseña o comentario acerca de la película están equivocados, realmente depende mucho de cuáles sean tus expectativas de lo que esperas ver en pantalla; si esperas una historia demasiado bien fomentada y argumentada, no vas a disfrutar de la verdadera escancia aunque, para ser honestos, su historia está muy bien basada. Yo no esperaba nada y terminé obteniendo oro, de verdad les digo que está película me encantó y no le cambiaría nada, realmente nada.
I know that this kind of movies and/or the humor they handle are not for everyone, everyone has their own tastes and preferences but I sincerely consider that this one is not lost, what I do advise you is to see it without children because, despite being a fairly soft or digestible humor, its scenes can be quite shocking because of how explicit they can be. Don't think that if you are sensitive to blood, disembowelment or dismemberment you won't be able to see the film, in fact that is a fundamental part of the humor, but for a child it can be very shocking to watch.
I'm not going to say that all those people who said a bad review or comment about the movie are wrong, it really depends a lot on what your expectations are of what you expect to see on screen; if you expect a story too well fostered and plotted, you're not going to enjoy the real scancia even though, to be honest, its story is very well grounded. I didn't expect anything and I ended up getting gold, I really love this movie and I wouldn't change a thing, really nothing.
