Llegamos al final del mes del amor y la amistad, y no podía acabarlo de otra manera que no fuese hablándoles de una de mis películas más amadas, y aunque anteriormente ya les había hablado un poco acerca de ésta historia, para mi resultaba indispensable hacer toda una publicación dedicada solamente a ella. Ésta película la vi por recomendación de unos amigos hace ya aproximadamente 4 años, y desde ese primer momento quedé absolutamente enamorada, fácilmente la puede unas dos o tres veces al año y nunca aburrirme de ella porque de verdad es maravillosa y además visualmente hermosa, ya he hecho que personas cercanas a mi la vean y queden igual de encantados como queden yo, así que obviamente debía venir y recomendárselas a ustedes, así que el día de hoy hablaremos de Kimi No Na Wa.
We have reached the end of the month of love and friendship, and I couldn't end it in any other way than talking about one of my most loved films, and although I had already told you a little about this story, for me it was essential to make a whole publication dedicated only to it. I saw this film on the recommendation of some friends about 4 years ago, and from that first moment I was absolutely in love, I can easily watch it two or three times a year and never get bored of it because it really is wonderful and visually beautiful, I have already made people close to me see it and they are just as enchanted as I am, so obviously I had to come and recommend it to you, so today we will talk about Kimi No Na Wa.
Kimi No Na Wa (conocida internacionalmente como Your Name) es una película de animación japonesa del género romance/fantasia, fue estrenada el 26 de Agosto del 2016 en Japón y el 7 de Abril del 2017 en Estados Unidos, contó con la dirección y el guión de Makoto Shinkai. Mitsuha Miyamusu vive en un pequeño pueblo llamado Itomoro, un lugar muy pintoresco y acogedor que ha sido envuelto por la monotonía y las tradiciones, aquí vive con su abuela, su hermanita y su papá (con quien no tiene una buena relación) y es donde ha pasado toda su vida, un buen día se despierta con la sensación de haber tenido un sueño bastante extraño del que no se acuerda demasiado, en el mismo era una chico de bachillerato que vivía en la gran ciudad de Tokio, y aunque por un momento solo pensó que sencillamente era un sueño que se sentía muy real, pronto se dió cuenta que en realidad estaba cambiando de cuerpo con éste chico, cuyo nombre es Taki. Envueltos en todo esta situación de intercambios repentinos de cuerpo, tanto Taki como Mitsuha tendrán que aprender a trabajar en equipo e ir afrontando cada uno de los retos que se presentarán, sin embargo con el tiempo se formará en ellos un vínculo especial, mientras que al mismo tiempo algo completamente inesperado estará por sucederles.
Kimi No Na Wa (internationally known as Your Name) is a Japanese animated film in the romance/fantasy genre, released on August 26, 2016 in Japan and April 7, 2017 in the United States, directed and scripted by Makoto Shinkai. Mitsuha Miyamusu lives in a small town called Itomoro, a very picturesque and cozy place that has been shrouded by monotony and traditions, here she lives with her grandmother, her little sister and her dad (with whom she does not have a good relationship) and where she has spent her whole life, One day she wakes up with the feeling of having had a strange dream that she doesn't remember too much, in it she was a high school boy who lived in the big city of Tokyo, and although for a moment she only thought it was simply a dream that felt very real, she soon realised that she was actually changing bodies with this boy, whose name is Taki. Embroiled in this whole situation of sudden body swapping, both Taki and Mitsuha will have to learn to work as a team and face each of the challenges that will come their way, but eventually a special bond will form between them, while at the same time something completely unexpected is about to happen to them.
Ésta es una película que sin duda alguna está llena de muchos simbolismos, y por ésta razón yo personalmente considero que existen mas de dos protagonistas, por un lado tenemos a Mitsuha y Taki que son en quienes gira toda la trama de la película, y con quienes compartes durante toda la historia, sin embargo por otro lado tenemos otros protagonistas más simbólicos, como lo son el tiempo y el cometa Tiamat. Desde el primer momento que la película comienza, te hacen referencia de la aparición del cometa Tiamat, un acontecimiento con bastante cobertura periodística y que es sumamente relevante para lo que es todo el desarrollo de la trama, de hecho podemos ver apariciones sutiles del cometa a lo largo de la historia, pero además del cometa, el tiempo como algo tangible es un elemento simbólico, que tiene gran repercusión dentro de la película, en un momento de la película la abuela de Mitsuha habla respecto a éste elemento, lo llama Musibi y es interesante como justamente hasta ese preciso momento la película había llevado un ritmo específico, algo más rápido y con cierto aire de "ésta es una historia mas de intercambios de cuerpo", pero luego de que nos explican lo que el tiempo significa para la historia que están contando, es cuando el ritmo de la película se vuelve más lento y los acontecimientos que le dan el giro contundente a la trama, comienzan a suceder.
This is a film that is undoubtedly full of many symbolisms, and for this reason I personally consider that there are more than two protagonists, on the one hand we have Mitsuha and Taki who are the ones on whom the whole plot of the film revolves, and with whom you share throughout the story, however on the other hand we have other more symbolic protagonists, such as the weather and the comet Tiamat. From the first moment the film begins, you are made reference to the appearance of the comet Tiamat, an event with a lot of press coverage and which is extremely relevant for the development of the plot, in fact we can see subtle appearances of the comet throughout the story, but besides the comet, time as something tangible is a symbolic element, which has great repercussions within the film, at one point in the film Mitsuha's grandmother talks about this element, She calls it Musibi and it is interesting how until that precise moment the film had a specific rhythm, something faster and with a certain air of "this is a story more about body exchanges", but after they explain to us what time means for the story they are telling, is when the rhythm of the film becomes slower and the events that give the strong turn to the plot, begin to happen.
Ahora bien, hablando de los personajes principales, encontramos a dos adolescentes que llevan un estilo de vida y tienen una forma de ser completamente distinta entre sí, Mitsuha es una chica que quiere vivir nuevas experiencias, siente que ha pasado toda su vida encerrada bajo la cotidianidad y la monotonía del pueblo en que nació, ha tenido una vida complicada y un tanto dolorosa, cuando era niña vió a su mamá morir y al mismo tiempo vio a su papá alejarse de ella y su hermana, y por consecuencia de esto ha tenido que crecer con su abuela, quien al igual que Mitsuha siente que fue traicionada por éste hombre que al perder a su esposa se apartó completamente de ellas. De alguna forma, cada uno de estos aspectos ha hecho que en Mitsuha crezcan estás ganas de explorar más allá de los límites de Itomoro, y además toda la experiencia que luego vive con Taki contribuye a la formación de su carácter y obviamente a su crecimiento como personaje.
Now, speaking of the main characters, we find two teenagers who have a completely different lifestyle and way of being from each other, Mitsuha is a girl who wants to live new experiences, she feels that she has spent her whole life locked up in the daily routine and monotony of the village where she was born, She has had a complicated and somewhat painful life, when she was a child she saw her mother die and at the same time she saw her father move away from her and her sister, and as a consequence of this she has had to grow up with her grandmother, who, like Mitsuha, feels that she was betrayed by this man who, on losing his wife, moved away from them completely. In a way, each of these aspects has made Mitsuha's desire to explore beyond the boundaries of Itomoro grow, and the whole experience she has with Taki contributes to the formation of her character and obviously to her growth as a character.
Por otra parte tenemos a Taki, un adolescente de Tokio con una personalidad más tranquila y orientada a alcanzar ciertas metas que no tienen que ver con salir y explorar el mundo, Taki vive con su papá y tiene un trabajo de mesero en un restaurante, un punto un tanto flojo de la trama es que nunca te cuentan nada mas de Taki, es decir no te explican porque solo vive con su papá, cuales son sus intereses o algo acerca de su vida antes de los acontecimientos narrados por la película, a decir verdad Taki es mas un catalizador de ciertos acontecimientos. El vínculo entre ellos dos o mas bien la razón de que allá sido Taki con quien Mitsuha cambiaba de cuerpo es algo que tampoco se explica nunca, Mitsuha si contaba con cierta historia de sus antepasados, pero de parte de Taki si es verdad que no se explica, queda un poco a mera coincidencia y siento que eso también es un aspecto flojo de la historia, sin embargo la película está tan llena de elementos impresionantes que a veces es difícil notar esos en los que pudo faltar algo de desarrollo.
On the other hand we have Taki, a teenager from Tokyo with a quieter personality and oriented to achieve certain goals that have nothing to do with going out and exploring the world, Taki lives with his father and has a job as a waiter in a restaurant, a somewhat weak point of the plot is that they never tell you anything else about Taki, that is to say they don't explain why he only lives with his father, what his interests are or anything about his life before the events narrated by the film, to tell the truth Taki is more a catalyst of certain events. The link between the two of them or rather the reason why it was Taki with whom Mitsuha changed his body is something that is never explained either, Mitsuha did have some history of his ancestors, but on Taki's side it is true that it is not explained, it is a mere coincidence and I feel that this is also a weak aspect of the story, however the film is so full of impressive elements that sometimes it is difficult to notice those in which some development may have been missing.
La película está llena de elementos visuales realmente hermosos, y esto hace que las locaciones también contribuyan a la narración de la película, los paisajes coloridos y montañezcos de Itomoro de alguna forma describen la personalidad de Mitsuha, toda ésta energía pero al mismo tiempos timidez y serenidad que tanto la representa a lo largo de la película, mientras que la estructura y la paleta de color mas grisácea de Tokio es una claro reflejo del carácter de Taki, lleno de planes y metas pero tambien lleno de cierta rebeldía y fuerza para luchar, es un trabajo visual que sin duda alguna no puede ser pasado por alto, así como tampoco puede pasar desapercibido el trabajo musical. El soundtrack estuvo a cargo de Radwimps, y así como lo visual formó parte de la trama, lo musical también y es que cada escena que venía acompañada por alguna canción se sentía maravillosa, personalmente tengo una canción en específico que es mi favorita y que justamente aparece en la escena mas hermosa y emotiva de toda la películas, pero no se las diré porque quiero que vean la película y adivinen cuál es 😂😂.
The film is full of really beautiful visual elements, and this makes the locations also contribute to the narrative of the film, the colourful and mountainous landscapes of Itomoro somehow describe Mitsuha's personality, all this energy but at the same time shyness and serenity that represents her so much throughout the film, while the structure and the more greyish colour palette of Tokyo is a clear reflection of Taki's character, full of plans and goals but also full of a certain rebelliousness and strength to fight, it is a visual work that certainly cannot be overlooked, just as the musical work cannot go unnoticed. The soundtrack was in charge of Radwimps, and just as the visuals were part of the plot, the music was too, and every scene that was accompanied by a song felt wonderful, personally I have a specific song that is my favourite and that appears in the most beautiful and emotional scene of the whole film, but I won't tell you because I want you to see the film and guess what it is 😂😂.
