The Breadwinner Review

Once upon a time there was a woman who was fighting. An animated film that simply put me on my shoulder.

There are movies that can squeeze an extraordinary story into tears, but there are also movies that are hard to watch, and at the same time extraordinary.

The Breadwinner movie is an extremely depressing movie full of struggles, sinks and escapes in a world of fanatics.

Despite the fact that the animation is one of the most interesting animations in recent years, there is no comedy here, also no happy ending, it's just a story about losing everything.

This is a film that gives us a glimpse of how women in Afghanistan live at the time the war broke out. This is a film about a little girl Parvana, who together with her disabled father are trying to sell clothes that women wore before the revolution.

It was unfortunate that one radical member became interested in young Parvana and her father was imprisoned because he wanted to save his daughter from the worst.

Parvana life suddenly turns 180 degrees because when he returns home he sees his mother and older sister and younger brother, and as a girl he has no rights in Kabul.

She cannot leave the house without a man, let alone do the shopping because she is in danger of beating up or even worse.

A family on the verge of misery and poverty waits for the father to come back, but does not come back, sitting in the toughest prison for nothing.

Parvana decides to cut beautiful long dark hair and become a boy so she can go shopping and help her family.

The film is an extraordinary story of a young girl about the loss of her teenage years, about the struggle to free her father and, above all, about an attempt to escape into a fantasy world not to feel this hell around for a while.

A touching story that everyone should watch. The thread when they become friends with one man who felt that the whole war was nothing but evil is phenomenal and the scene of reading the letter and the man's attempt to learn to write is very sad.

It's hard for you to review this film here because it's such a small masterpiece that you have to discover for yourself. Each scene is filled with pain and fight, flight and courage.

For us, it may seem fanatic, but for the main character it is the worst everyday life imaginable.

A strong film, despite the fact that there is no brutality in it, has a large emotional injection, which is injected into us all at once, so we watch this movie with tears in our eyes, being shocked by this story.

Despite the fact that the animation, the scenes that are happening there are almost real.

I recommend watching the movie because it is one of those movies that, after discovery, will reflect on our own life with tears in our eyes. 10/10 rating adequate to the film, a true masterpiece
