The Big Sleep has everything that the cinema of the 40s had, a detective who can get out of the crowd with inborn black humor and sarcasm, a climate so heavy that it can be cut with a knife and an extremely interesting plot.
The movie begins when Philip Marlowe gets an order from the colonel, who asks him to find the perpetrator of his younger daughter's blackmail.
Peter Marlowe agrees and starts an investigation, leads him to someone who is involved in another scandal, when he is there, he only sees the corpse and the colonel's daughter drunk.
Peter Marlowe must now not only find the blackmailers, but try to discover how and who was behind the killing.

The film is very interesting, the number of threads is simply unheard of, every now and then we get a new clue that leads us to the next one to finally show a surprising finale.
The film is a good fast-paced action and Bogatt himself, with his cold and famous humor, fits very well with the production conventions.
Each scene is done in an interesting way, you can see it magically and we go back to the 1946s and together with Bogart we solve one of the most interesting puzzles.
The finale is satisfying and everything is resolved, who and why did it and how many people were involved.
As for the 1940s, the film has interesting pictures full of dark shots and invasions on the actor.
The film is based on the book of the same title.

Today, in general, there was supposed to be a different review, but bad luck wanted that I could find a movie, so today a classic appeared, which after so much cxas still works and does well in what it is and is an intriguing crime story, where every clue leads to the next and Like a cat, Bogart walks on a string to the final mouse.
I estimate the film on 6/10 it would be probably more, but the music often spoiled the stuffy atmosphere, I know that in those days such music was a must, but the atmosphere loses a lot.
The movie lasts nearly 2 hours, but it is completely new, packed with action and full of puzzles. It's worth watching for Bogart who laughs at how little he is around people;>
