Sweet home is a screen adaptation of a Korean comic under the same title, but for the purposes of the series, many elements have been changed and expanded. The series is available on the Netflix platform and each of the 10 episodes lasts from 45 to 56 minutes.
Story
The action takes place in an estate where a young boy is just moving in. He has one goal to kill himself ... We don't know why, what prompted him to do so. However, the series does not only focus on one character, but through two episodes we get to know each character, his daily life, what he does there and what his goal is. We have a "gangster" who keeps a guy in the room (it will be explained later what was the reason) We also have a young, talented girl who inherited a guitar from her boyfriend and is trying to play her best. We also have a woman whose baby has died and she is carrying a doll in a pram and much more. Each of the heroes has advantages and disadvantages. Despite a certain stupidity, the viewer is able to believe that such heroes can live behind the wall. The series does not try to make students out of them, but shows how they live and what their dreams are.

One day some neighbors suddenly begin to change. A fight begins between humans and monsters that lurk to murder everyone.
Inspirations
When watching the series, you can feel a strong inspiration from Rec, Dredd and The RAID. Affection, helplessness and an attempt to get out of the trap which is not only in the block but also outside.
The heroes, despite their initial reluctance, must cooperate with each other, but they must always be vigilant because you never know who will become the next monster.
Monsters
The series focuses on fancy creatures somewhere between Stranger Things and SILENT Hill. The creatures are really very fancy we have a creature that sucks blood here, but we also have a big eye, in other words there is a lot of variety here
Some people can stop the transformation effect and gain extraordinary energy and resilience. The transformation itself occurs during sudden hemorrhages after 15 days
Effects
The effects are at a good level for Korean cinema, many things sting the eyes with computer effects, but it compensates for it with an interesting scenario and a hero who is doing something interesting at the moment.
Music
Unfortunately, it is poor here, most of the series is a piece of Imagine Dragons Warrior. In the beginning, it fit the situation very well, but with time and the constant repetition of the song, it became weary.
Various ways
The heroes will only have to fight a duel with monsters, but with people who are sometimes worse than monsters, and here a lot happens, even if we like a given hero, he may die later, showing that people are worse.
Look at me in the past
The series not only focuses on the present, but also tries to sketch what happened in the past, from bullying at school to the loss of an important person or a car accident. The past of the heroes is very confusing and we just feel sorry for them
The block is the vestibule of hell?
Looking at the heroes' past and how they tried to get away from it all, the block is a place where they meet their own weaknesses A similar procedure was in The Room in Silent Hill4 Here we have some very similar sequences that give deceptive hopes that we can feel safe at home.
To sum up, this is a great cinema that will not be boring, despite some minor drawbacks, the characters are three-dimensional, so we are more willing to get involved in their fate. The finale opened the door to the continuation, which is already planned for 2022, is it going to be rather hard to repeat the hate, loneliness and helplessness of the heroes locked in the building. I rate the series at 8/10 because some elements worked less, but it does not mean that it is weak, on the contrary, it is a very interesting psychological horror with a large admixture of psychology and a slight fantastic.
