Sin más que agregar prepárense para aprender Kung Fu pues estamos por comenzar.

La trama tiene un ritmo progresivo agradable, a lo largo del filme se van exponiendo diversas situaciones que van desde la acción hasta el romance, los cuales encajan muy bien y le dan diferentes matices al filme, además, está combinación hace interesante a la cinta puesto que esos elementos mantienen atrapada la atención del espectador. Narrativamente es simple, la premisa consta de ir viendo el desarrollo del personaje hasta conseguir su meta, maneja mensajes nada complejos pero agradable sobre el respeto, el compromiso, dedicación, entre otros, pese al cliché del asunto se no es aburida en ningun momento. Tiene una duración de más de 2 horas, pese a ello tiene una variedad de situaciones que la hacen entretenida, no tiene ninguna clase de giro argumental ni nada que se le asemeje, no obstante, lo anterior no es un problema debido a que sabe trabajar lo poco que tiene para superar por lo menos el umbral de lo decente.

El protagonista tiene una buena caracterización y un pequeño crecimiento que lo hace agradable, es fácil empatizar con él debido a las diversas adversidades que enfrenta, por lo que es inevitable encariñarse con él. Han por su parte también tiene una buena presencia, su trasfondo es llamativo y es un condicionante para la relación que tendrá con su discípulo, esto provoca que la interacción de estos no solo sea mentor/aprendiz sino que en ciertos momentos se ve como padre/hijo, esto le da cierta complejidad a la misma debido a lo fluctuante que es dependiendo de la situación. El resto de personajes no son tan interesantes, tanto los antagonistas como los secundarios tienen como mucho interacciones curiosas con el protagonista, fuera de ello no hay mucho que destacar de ellos.
The Karate Kid is a quite enjoyable film with interesting things and an extremely simple story that is very easy to follow, it has a predictable outcome but that does not make it boring or anything like it, all of the above is because it is pleasant to watch the journey of evolution of the protagonist and his teacher. The Karate Kid es un filme bastante ameno con cosas interesantes y una historia sumamente sencilla que es muy fácil de seguir, tiene un desenlace predecible pero no por eso resulta aburrido ni nada que se le asemeje, todo lo anterior se debe a que es agradable ver el viaje de evolución del protagonista y de su maestro. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3.5 estrellas de 7, si te gustó el clásico de los 80 deberías verla (En primer lugar no sé por qué no la has visto) además, es de ese tipo de películas que puede verse más de una vez sin ningún problema.
