Para saber la respuesta debemos ponernos nuestros trajes más elegantes y nobles posibles que estamos por comenzar.
Coming 2 America was released this year on Amazon and is a direct sequel to Coming to America that was released in 1988, it has mostly the actors from the first film. It is a comedy story of 1 hour and 50 minutes in length, the plot is a direct continuation of the first one, it presents us with the prince who has become king with the problem of not having a male heir to whom to give up the throne, seeing himself under threat from another nation must leave again for America before the possibility of having conceived a child on his first visit to the country but if true raises the question of whether is it really your child?

Es una historia de comedia de 1 hora y 50 minutos de duración, la trama es una continuación directa de la primera, nos plantea al príncipe ya convertido en rey con la problemática de no tener un heredero varón al cual cederle el trono, viéndose bajo amenaza de otra nación debe partir nuevamente a América ante la posibilidad de haber concebido un hijo en su primera visita al país pero de ser cierto plantea la incógnita de si ¿Realmente será su hijo?

The film brings us back to Zamunda with the premise of having passed time and showing how all the events established in its prequel have evolved in one way or another, the problem is that Coming to America was a film that did not need a sequel due to that its end should not stand for it and that is evidenced in this sequel with the repetition of many of the jokes that evidently no longer cause the same thanks.
La película nos trae devuelta a Zamunda con la premisa de haber pasado el tiempo y mostrando como todos los acontecimientos establecidos en su precuela han evolucionado de una u otra forma, el problema es que Coming to América era una película que no necesitaba una secuela debido a que su final no deba pie para ello y eso se evidencia en esta secuela con la repetición de muchos de los chistes que evidentemente ya no causan la misma gracias.
I think that even the film's staff already knew that what they were doing was not anywhere near as good as the first film, so they are forced to put flashbacks from the first film, which are a regrettable resource used with the film. The plot does not go anywhere, being that even the way to solve the main problem is mentioned from the beginning but it is not used at first because it was not convenient. Ignoring the fact that the end has been told from the beginning, throughout the film you can see how they add scenes that try to be funny but are simply there to fill in a gap. As a cherry on top, it also recycles the romance of the first movie, but done in a much worse way.
La trama es simplemente sosa y carente de sentido, en este caso en vez de ser extranjeros en Norte América ahora hay extranjeros en Zamunda, super originales ¿Verdad? Aunado a eso también se deja pasar la oportunidad de explorar el reino y hacer un poco más interesante la cinta pero solo se muestran cosas extrañas y carentes de sentidos. La trama no llega a ningún lado, siendo que incluso la forma de resolver el problema principal es mencionada desde el principio pero no se hace uso de esta en un primer momento porque no era conveniente. Obviando el hecho de que el final haya sido contado desde el inicio, a lo largo de la película se nota como agregan escenas que intentan ser graciosas pero simplemente están ahí por rellenar un hueco. Como cereza del postre también recicla el romance de la primera película pero hecho de forma mucho peor.

What the hell did they include them for? They would have made a sequel with the same old ones and saved money instead of including totally forgettable characters.
Mencione el desaprovechamiento de personajes pero debo retomarlo porque esta me parece una de las peores carencias de la cinta, si bien muchos de los personajes de la primera película hacen acto de presencia estos no tienen ni la misma gracia ni el mismo protagonismo que en la anterior película. Uno llegaría a pensar que si no fue cariñosa con sus antiguos personajes por lo menos lo seria con los nuevos ¡Pues NO! A estos los trata incluso peor siendo que por lo menos a los viejos ya los conocíamos medianamente bien por su actuación previa pero de estos sabemos sus nombres y ya es mucho, siendo personajes de un solo chiste que es básicamente hacer el ridículo o sencillamente teniendo escenas totalmente carentes de sentido, sinceramente me pregunto si los iban a tratar así ¿Para qué carajos los incluyeron? Hubieran hecho una secuela con los mismos de antes y se ahorraban dinero en vez de incluir personajes totalmente olvidables.
But come on, it's a comedy movie. Should it at least be something funny? I regret to inform you that no, although the film has the classic Eddie Murphy humor of playing different characters, this does not save it from repeating mostly jokes that were seen previously (I am not lying to you when I tell you that in some things it seems that made a copy and paste of the prequel) Although on rare occasions there are funny moments, these are very rare to be able to save the entire film, one of the funniest parts is when the film makes fun of itself for being a sequel that absolutely no one asked being that not even she takes herself seriously.

Lamento informarles que no, si bien la cinta tiene el humor clásico de Eddie Murphy de hacer de diferentes personajes esto no la salva de repetir en su gran mayoría chistes que ya se vieron con anterioridad (No les miento al decirles que en algunas cosas parece que hicieron un copia y pega de la precuela) Si bien en contadas ocasiones existen momentos graciosos estos son muy escasos para poder salvar a toda la película, una de las partes más graciosas es cuando la película se burla de sí misma por ser una secuela que absolutamente nadie pidió siendo que ni ella misma se toma en serio.
I sincerely expected more from this movie but it was a complete and unfortunate disappointment. For all the above mentioned I consider that Coming 2 America is simply a mess that should not exist since it dirties the name of its prequel that although it was not perfect at least if it was funny. He deserves a 2 star rating out of 7, if you really want to see Eddie Murphy in his best moments watch The Nutty Professor who is 10 times better and his plot is less absurd.
Sinceramente esperaba más de esta película pero fue una completa y lamentable desilusión. Por todo lo anterior mencionado considero que Coming 2 America es simplemente un bodrio que no debería existir puesto que ensucia el nombre de su precuela que si bien no fue perfecta por lo menos si hacía gracia. Se merece una calificación de 2 estrellas de 7, si realmente quieren ver a Eddie Murphy en sus mejores momentos vean The Nutty Professor que es 10 veces mejor y su trama es menos absurda.
