Welcome dear internet travelers, thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, this post will be about another of the animated series premiered on Disney + (I already look like a fanboy jajajaja) And of course I'm talking about Monster at Work that takes us back to Monster Inc. universe showing us how monsters get used to changing their ways of obtaining energy. Without more to add, grab all your tools and prepare some jokes that we are about to start.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet, muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, el presente post será sobre otra de las series animadas estrenadas en Disney+ (Parezco ya un fanboy jajajaja) Y hablo por supuesto de Monster at Work que nos lleva nuevamente al universo de Monster Inc. mostrándonos como los monstruos se acostumbran al hecho de cambiar sus formas de obtener energía. Sin más que agregar agarren todas sus herramientas y preparen algunos chistes que estamos por comenzar.
Monster at Work was created by Peter Docter and released this year, it is a direct continuation of Monster Inc., it has 1 season and 10 chapters of 30 minutes each. It is a story of fantasy and comedy, it takes us back to the universe of Pixar's monsters giving continuity to all the events of the 2001 film, all the monsters must adapt to all the news of their world including Tylor Tuskmon who is a newcomer. Scared college graduate having been more than excellent in all respects beating even Sullivan. The little problem is that he now has to learn something new like comedy to become the best prankster there is, all this while he is working with the MIFT.
Monster at Work fue creada por Peter Docter y estrenada este año, es una continuación directa de Monster Inc., posee 1 temporada y 10 capítulos de 30 minutos de duración cada uno. Es una historia de fantasía y comedia, nos lleva de nuevo al universo de los monstruos de Pixar dando continuidad a todos los acontecimientos de la película del 2001, todos los monstruos deben adaptarse a todas las novedades de su mundo incluido Tylor Tuskmon quien es un recién graduado de la universidad de sustos habiendo sido más que excelente en todos los aspectos superando incluso a Sullivan. El pequeño problema es que ahora tiene que aprender algo nuevo como es la comedia para convertirse en el mejor bromista que existe, todo esto mientras se encuentra trabajando con los MIFT.

Tylor Tuskmon
He is a newcomer to the company, as he graduated to be a scarer and not as a joker he was assigned to the MIFT, he is focused on getting out of that team and becoming a joker. He is extremely careless and clumsy so he is always causing disasters.
Está recién llegado a la empresa, como se graduó para ser un asustador y no como un bromista fue asignado a los MIFT, se encuentra enfocado en salir de ese equipo y volverse un bromista. Es sumamente descuidado y torpe por lo que siempre está causando desastres.
Val
She is another member of the MIFT who also studied at university with Tylor, she really enjoys her job so she tries to show Tylor how much fun it can be. She is also the one who supports him on more than one occasion to become a joker, she has an enthusiastic and friendly attitude.
Es otra miembro de los MIFT que a su vez estudio en la universidad con Tylor, disfruta mucho su trabajo por lo que intenta mostrarle a Tylor lo divertido que puede ser. También es la que lo apoya en más de una ocasión para que se vuelva un bromista, posee una actitud entusiasta y amable.
There are 3 other members of the MIFT: Fritz who is the head of the group and is quite a nice and strange being, Duncan the unpleasant of the group with aspirations for power and Cutter has a lot of experience and works just what his contract states. As expected, its animation is very beautiful and hand in hand with the music it takes us back to the world of monsters in a perfect way, it is impossible to complain about it the truth.
Como es de esperar su animación es muy hermosa y de la mano con la música nos lleva de nuevo al mundo de los monstruos de manera perfecta, es imposible quejarse de ello la verdad.
The construction of the world follows what was established in the first film in the sense that everything had meaning and they learned from it, this is shown by the fact that they no longer fear children, being that what they fear is to expose their world . Outside of this, the world of monsters is no longer explored, which if it is explored are some elements of the company, although many had already been previously exposed in the film.
La construcción de mundo sigue lo establecido en la primera película en el sentido de que todo tuvo significado y aprendieron de ello, esto se muestra con el hecho de que ya no le temen a los niños siendo que lo que si temen es a exponer su mundo. Fuera de ello no se explora más el mundo de los monstruos, lo que si se explora son algunos elementos de la empresa aunque muchos ya habían sido expuestos previamente en la película.
The premise as such is quite simple since it consists mainly of Tylor trying to become a prankster, the concept of introducing a repair team sounded promising but many times the MIFT's just do stupid things taking away everything that could have been interesting. Throughout the series, different problems are also shown that seem important at first but are solved in the same episode in absurd ways, quickly taking away their value, when they do this, the question arises, why did they make it seem important if they would solve it like that? Although it has many comic elements, many of these are rehash of previous jokes appealing to nostalgia to attract an audience, although they also have a lot of their own comedy, it is impossible to ignore the use of old jokes in a repetitive way. This reuse of things is also noticeable in many chapters being that in some they are so blatant to use full arguments from the original film and focus the entire episode on it.
La premisa como tal es bastante sencilla puesto que consiste principalmente en Tylor intentando convertirse en bromista, el concepto de introducir un equipo de reparación sonaba prometedor pero muchas veces los MIFT solo hacen estupideces quitándole todo lo interesante que pudo haber sido. A lo largo de la serie también se muestran diferentes problemas que de buenas a primeras parecen importantes pero son resueltos en el mismo episodio de maneras absurdas quitándoles rápidamente su valor, cuando hacen esto surge la pregunta ¿Para qué lo hicieron ver importante si lo resolverían así? Si bien posee muchos elementos cómicos muchos de estos son refritos de chistes anteriores apelando a la nostalgia para atraer público, si bien también tienen mucha comedia propia es imposible pasar por alto el uso de chistes antiguos de manera repetitiva. Esta reutilización de las cosas también se nota en muchos capítulos siendo que en algunos son tan descarados de utilizar argumentos completos de la película original y centrar todo el episodio en ello.
The characters are another sample of the copy and paste since very few new monsters are included and even some of the "New" are those already seen with a different color or minimal details. At the same time, she is not affectionate neither with the old nor with the new since they only fulfill specific functions without more being that many do not even have their personality defined, they only have one or two characteristics and that is the whole identity that they are given. . The same or even worse happens with the original characters since some lose those characteristics that they had in the previous installment by involution of the character. I will make a parenthesis and save 2 characters from the abyss that are Tylor and Val since they are the best achieved and I liked how they built their friendship and mutual support, if all the characters had been treated in the same way everything would have been very different.
Los personajes son otra muestra de la copia y pega puesto que se incluyen muy pocos monstruos nuevos e incluso algunos de los “Nuevos” son los ya vistos con un color o mínimos detalles diferentes. A su vez no es cariñosa ni con los antiguos ni con los nuevos puesto que solo cumplen funciones específicas sin más siendo que a muchos ni siquiera se les define la personalidad, solamente tienen una o dos característica y esa es toda la identidad que se les da. Con los personajes originales pasa lo mismo o hasta peor puesto que algunos pierden esas características que tenían en la entrega previa haciendo una involución del personaje. Haré un paréntesis y salvare a 2 personajes del abismo que son Tylor y Val puesto que son los mejor logrados y me gusto como construyeron su amistad y apoyo mutuo, si a todos los personajes los hubiesen tratado de la misma manera todo hubiese sido muy diferente.
Monster at Work is a sequel that could give much more than it did, it makes the mistake of sticking too closely to many elements of its prequel which does not allow it to have an identity of its own. For all this it deserves a rating of 2 stars out of 7, I wish it had followed the example of Dug Days to respect its origins and build its own path.
Monster at Work es una secuela que pudo dar mucho más de lo que dio, comete el error de apegarse demasiado a muchos elementos de su precuela lo que no le permite tener una identidad propia. Por todo esto merece una calificación de 2 estrellas sobre 7, ojala hubiese seguido el ejemplo de Dug Days de respetar sus orígenes y construir su propio camino.
