¡Huye!/Get out! (Reseña/Review)

Chris es un fotógrafo negro que vive en Nueva York con su novia blanca Rose, siente una incomodidad al saber que hará un viaje con su pareja para conocer a sus padres que no saben que el novio de su hija es negro. Alejándose de la civilización a una casa de campo Chris siente el ambiente tenso al ver la expresión corporal de las personas que lo rodean, tanto los blancos como los negros. Mientras su visita se alarga las teorías en la cabeza de Chris y su amigo Rob salen a flote, conectando todos los puntos de la verdad sobre la familia de su novia.

Chris is a black photographer who lives in New York with his white girlfriend Rose, he feels uncomfortable knowing that he will take a trip with his partner to meet his parents who do not know that the daughter's boyfriend is black. Moving away from civilization to a country house Chris feels the atmosphere tense as he sees the body expressions of the people around him, both black and white. As his visit drags on the theories in Chris' head and his friend Rob come to the fore, connecting all the dots of truth about his girlfriend's family.

Esta es una película conocida por muchos, lo sé, hacia mucho tiempo que quería verla pero siempre olvidaba su existencia. La empecé a ver con unos amigos, solo porque a ellos les gusta el terror, empieza como una simple película de terror, con sus clichés y ruidos extraños para hacerte sentir incomodo, con momentos de suspenso que se alargan al punto de aburrir, pensé que seria solo eso, hasta que en mitad de la película todo empezó a dar un gran giro.

La película la puedo comparar incluso con Parasite, una película que va todo lineal, sin cambiar su ambiente, el sentimiento dado, todo parece ser obra del mismo director para dar a entender que todo ya lo tenia pensado. El hecho de que fuese lenta en un principio fue el factor sorpresa, explotando en la mitad para dejarnos emocionados y con altas expectativas que en un principio no existía. Get Out es una película que puede abarcar muchos temas polémicos, y mucho más cuando sabes que se estreno en el año 2017, llegar a hablar de los guiños que dejo el director para hablar un poco de política y ética seria alargar el post demasiado, así que solo comentare que pueden verla y hablaremos en los comentarios sobre eso.

Luego de buscar información sobre la película me tope con dos grandes descubrimientos, el primero es que el director es un comediante, que no hay que quitarle merito al trabajo de un comediante fuera de su zona, pero los comediantes tienen ese poder de hablar cosas incorrectas en un buen tono, todos sus disgusto con la sociedad o la vida en general la plasman en un monologo y aquí, Jordan Peele, hizo lo mismo con una película de terror. El segundo descubrimiento es que fue una película de bajo presupuesto, recaudando hasta 50 veces más de lo que costó hacerla, diciendo que fue todo un éxito incluso siendo polémica. No es solo por los temas que trata a simple vista, es por lo bien hecha que esta, la historia como se tuerce necesariamente sin la necesidad de que haya un bajón en la historia para que suba de nuevo.

El terror de lo humano, eso es lo que más me atrae, en esta película se habla de una sociedad secreta que hace experimentos con humanos, no de una manera ficticia, de algo que puede ser considerado en serio, de algo que puede estar sucediendo sin saber. Claro, estoy exagerando un poco al considerar que sea real, pero el atractivo de esta película es que te deja esa incógnita que puede ser considerada cierta, dejarte con miedo luego de terminar, ese es el propósito de una verdadera película de terror.

This is a movie known to many, I know, I had wanted to see it for a long time but always forgot its existence. I started to see it with some friends, just because they like horror, it starts as a simple horror movie, with its clichés and strange noises to make you feel uncomfortable, with moments of suspense that last to the point of boring, I thought that It would be just that, until in the middle of the movie everything started to take a big turn.

I can even compare the film with Parasite, a film that is all linear, without changing its environment, the feeling given, everything seems to be the work of the same director to imply that he had already thought of everything. The fact that it was slow at first was the surprise factor, exploding in the middle to leave us excited and with high expectations that did not exist at first. Get Out is a film that can cover many controversial topics, and much more when you know that it was released in 2017, getting to talk about the winks that the director left to talk a little about politics and ethics would be to lengthen the post too long, like this I will only comment that you can see it and we will talk in the comments about that.

After looking for information about the film, I came across two great discoveries, the first is that the director is a comedian, that you should not detract from the work of a comedian outside his area, but comedians have that power to speak the wrong things in a good tone, all his disgust with society or life in general is reflected in a monologue and here, Jordan Peele, did the same with a horror movie. The second discovery is that it was a low-budget film, grossing up to 50 times more than it cost to make, saying that it was a success even though it was controversial. It is not only because of the issues that it deals with at first glance, it is because of how well it is done, the story as it is necessarily twisted without the need for there to be a downturn in the story to rise again.

The terror of the human, that is what attracts me the most, in this film we talk about a secret society that does experiments with humans, not in a fictitious way, about something that can be considered seriously, about something that may be happening not knowing. Sure, I'm exaggerating a bit when I consider it real, but the appeal of this movie is that it leaves you with that unknown that can be considered true, leaving you in fear after finishing, that is the purpose of a true horror movie.

Dura una hora y cincuenta minutos, antes de llegar a la hora se pone bastante interesante, así que, si no la has visto, te recomiendo que le des un vistazo a esta película que fue hecha con bastante esfuerzo por parte de su director.
