Esta es una película familiar estrenada en el año 2019, contando con una duración de 97 minutos, donde nos muestra la posibilidad de un cambio en lugares donde se pensaba que ya todo estaba perdido, dejándonos un muy buen mensaje del amor que conllevan los buenos actos hacia nuestro prójimo. Y principalmente, relatándonos la fabulosa historia, que desde niños siempre a estado presente en nosotros, en cada temporada navideña. Dándonos a conocer así, el origen de Klaus. Un leñador y artesano solitario, el cual había tenido un trágico pasado, en cual no pudo cumplir su sueño con el amor de su vida.

La sinopsis de esta película nos relata la vida de un cartero, Jesper (voz de Quim Gutiérrez) el cual, por ser uno de los peores estudiantes de la academia postal, es puesto a prueba por su padre quien es el dueño de la academia. Y es enviado al Smeerensburg, una gélida isla más allá del Círculo Polar Ártico, donde sus conflictivos habitantes apenas intercambian palabras y, mucho menos, cartas. Jesper está a punto de rendirse cuando encuentra una aliada, Alva (Belén Cuesta), la profesora del pueblo. También descubre a Klaus (Luis Tosar), un misterioso carpintero que vive aislado en una cabaña repleta de juguetes hechos a mano. Estas improbables amistades traerán la alegría de nuevo a Smeerensburg, y crearán un nuevo legado de vecinos generosos, leyendas mágicas y calcetines colgados con cariño en las chimeneas.
The synopsis of this film tells us the life of a postman, Jesper (voice of Quim Gutiérrez) who, being one of the worst students of the postal academy, is put to the test by his father who is the owner of the academy. And he is sent to Smeerensburg, an icy island beyond the Arctic Circle, where its troubled inhabitants barely exchange words, much less letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally, Alva (Belén Cuesta), the village teacher. He also discovers Klaus (Luis Tosar), a mysterious carpenter who lives in isolation in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships will bring joy back to Smeerensburg, creating a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical legends and socks hung lovingly on fireplaces.

Klaus es una película que nos cuenta la historia de un joven malcriado, llamado Jesper, que estaba acostumbrado a vivir bien sin trabajar. Su padre, que era responsable del servicio de correos, decide darle una lección enviándole como cartero a Smeerensburg, una ciudad fría y aislada, situada en el Círculo Polar Ártico. Allí, debe cumplir una misión para no ser desheredado; dicha misión consiste en entregar 6000 cartas en un año.
Klaus is a film that tells the story of a spoiled young man named Jesper who was used to living well without working. His father, who was responsible for the postal service, decides to teach him a lesson by sending him as a postman to Smeerensburg, a cold and isolated city, located on the Arctic Circle. There, he must fulfill a mission so as not to be disinherited; This mission consists of delivering 6000 letters in a year.

Al principio Jesper cree que el reto es sencillo. Sin embargo, cuando llega a la ciudad, se entera de que sus habitantes viven en un permanente conflicto, divididos y enfrentados en dos grupos, los Ellingboe y los Krum, por lo que nunca intercambian cartas entre ellos. Los pequeños comienzan a compartir sus obsequios y a jugar juntos, independientemente del grupo al que pertenecen. Esto es una gran enseñanza para los adultos, puesto que al final logran dejar a un lado las diferencias y convivir pacíficamente con todos sus vecinos. Además, al recibir una gran cantidad de cartas, Jesper completa rápidamente su misión. Pero, cuando consigue su objetivo, todo ha cambiado, ya que él es una mejor persona que se preocupa por los demás y se esfuerza por hacer que otros sean felices; y, además, Smeerensburg se ha convertido en una ciudad maravillosa en la que vivir.

Esta película es la primera de Sergio Pablos como director tras una larga carrera en la parte más creativa del campo de la animación. Junto a él, está Carlos Martínez López como codirector de la cinta. Entre ambos, nos regalan una propuesta navideña intemporal, que desde mi punto de vista es una maravillosa película, que intenta dar un origen a la figura de Santa Claus, o Papá Noel para otros, y a todas las leyendas que le rodean. Su tono es adecuado para toda la familia, tanto para niños como para adultos, algo que permite que todos puedan disfrutar de una animación de calidad y una buena historia sin importar la edad.
This film is Sergio Pablos' first as a director after a long career in the most creative part of the animation field. Next to him is Carlos Martínez López as co-director of the film. Between them, they give us a timeless Christmas proposal, which from my point of view is a wonderful film, which tries to give rise to the figure of Santa Claus, or Father Christmas for others, and all the legends that surround him. Its tone is suitable for the whole family, both for children and adults, something that allows everyone to enjoy quality animation and a good story regardless of age.

Cabe destacar que una de las partes que más me cautivo de esta película, es ver cómo se puede reflejar el cambio en cada una de la persona del pueblo a través de un buen acto de bondad. A mi parecer es un muy bonito mensaje, que podemos tomar como enseñanza en nuestra vida. Sin mencionar como nuestro protagonista Jesper, con un objetivo tan egoísta despierte tanta generosidad a su alrededor. Esto hace alusión al lema que se destaca en la película: "Un sincero acto de bondad siempre provoca otro".
It should be noted that one of the parts of this film that captivates me the most is seeing how change can be reflected in each person in the town through a good act of kindness. In my opinion it is a very nice message that we can take as a lesson in our lives. Not to mention how our protagonist Jesper, with such a selfish goal awakens so much generosity around him. This alludes to the motto that stands out in the film: "One sincere act of kindness always provokes another."

En el fondo, se puede reflejar como Jesper, sin darse cuenta va dejando atrás su propósito principal por otro mucho más grande e importante: la alegría de los más pequeños. Ese nuevo propósito lleva a los niños a recibir regalos que los comparten entre ellos, ignorando la batalla milenaria entre clanes; a devolverle la ilusión por enseñar a una maestra hundida con la realidad que la rodea; y a que las relaciones entre ellos animen a sus padres a hacer lo mismo con sus semejantes.
Deep down, it can be reflected as Jesper, without realizing it, is leaving behind his main purpose for another much bigger and more important: the joy of the little ones. This new purpose leads children to receive gifts that they share among themselves, ignoring the ancient battle between clans; to give back the illusion for teaching a teacher sunk with the reality that surrounds her; and that their relationships encourage their parents to do the same with their fellow men.

Sinceramente es una película que se puede disfrutar mucho en familia, es una delicia en todos sus aspectos, desde el diseño visual tanto de backgrounds como de personajes, hasta el guion y sus diálogos, pasando incluso por una emotiva banda sonora o un muy bien elegido doblaje. Es como si todo les hubiese encajado en un estado de gracia para lograr su propósito de conmovernos con una historia que pese a haber sido mil veces contada, aquí nos da la sensación de que nos la cuentan por primera vez.
Hace que nos enamoremos de sus personajes y de cada uno de sus tics y expresiones, incluidos cada uno de los secundarios, hace que vibremos con la aventura que nos cuenta, que la disfrutemos con sus ocurrencias y que lloremos con sus momentos más espirituales. En definitiva, hace que sintamos la Navidad, convirtiéndose en un clásico inmediato e imprescindible de esa fecha, y que podamos sentir lo que es el buen cine para toda la familia, un regalo de artesanía con resultados tan mágicos como aquellos con los que Jesper y Klaus consiguen cambiar a los habitantes de Smeerensburg. Simplemente Maravillosa.
Honestly, it is a film that can be enjoyed a lot with the family, it is a delight in all its aspects, from the visual design of both backgrounds and characters, to the script and its dialogues, even through an emotional soundtrack or a very well chosen dubbing. It is as if everything had fitted them into a state of grace to achieve their purpose of moving us with a story that despite having been told a thousand times, here it gives us the feeling that it is being told to us for the first time.
It makes us fall in love with its characters and with each of its tics and expressions, including each of the secondary ones, it makes us vibrate with the adventure that it tells us, that we enjoy it with its occurrences and that we cry with its most spiritual moments. In short, it makes us feel Christmas, becoming an immediate and essential classic of that date, and that we can feel what good cinema is for the whole family, a craft gift with results as magical as those with which Jesper and Klaus manage to change the inhabitants of Smeerensburg. Simply wonderful.
