The second mystery, which is posed from the first episode, involves the supernatural factor. Are the deaths related to something otherworldly? A cult? The dead claiming revenge? Arctic monsters? Mother Earth? All of this creates a big problem when it comes to giving a coherent resolution to the story. I like the attempt to play with the viewer by adding these elements, but I think there were flaws in the execution.

Perfecta para generar misterios.

El segundo misterio que se nos plantea desde el primer episodio, encierra el factor sobrenatural. ¿Están las muertes relacionadas con algo de otro mundo? ¿Una secta? ¿Muertos clamando venganza? ¿Monstruos árticos? ¿La Madre Tierra? Todo esto crea un gran problema a la hora de dar una resolución coherente a la historia. Me gusta el intento de jugar con el espectador añadiendo estos elementos, pero creo que hubo fallos en la ejecución.
True Detective Night Country is from my point of view, the worst of the four stories in the series. Making comparisons is odious, plus I'm sure it's very difficult for the first season to be surpassed. Night Country serves to exemplify how to destroy a good idea. Cuando se introduce el personaje de Evangeline Navarro. El suceso violento donde ella interviene como policía, define el camino que tomará la historia. Issa López, actual showrunner de la serie antológica, monta otro panfleto feminista de izquierdas progre y le añade todos los istas que le faltan. Esa escena del primer episodio nos dice que aquí todos los hombres son malos malísimos y el único que no es malo, acaba haciendo algo muy malo y es un poco tonto. Y todas las mujeres, incluso las protagonistas fuertes, son sufridas víctimas.
Ya estoy harto de toda esta matriz de opinión que se está instalando en la mente de los espectadores. Qué pena que esta serie, que ha tenido tres temporadas estupendas, caiga en este sinsentido. Creo que ha gustado mucho a la generación progre experta en hacer ruido en las redes sociales.
HBO has also been happy and have confirmed that there will be another new story. A fifth season and with Issa Lopez as showrunner. I was reviewing the filmography of this Amexican director and screenwriter and she has a lot of light comedies, nothing that really catches my attention and that I can see her character as a filmmaker. Lots of forgettable productions.
My initial enthusiasm fizzled out after a couple of episodes. There were a few that I found extremely boring. The way the mysteries posed, including the crime, are solved is so stupid. We are back to seeing another event where there is a bad bad guy who deserves the worst in the world.
Nick Pizzolatto posted something on Instagram that has since been deleted. Although his name is still listed in the credits, he got off that boat. He abandoned the fourth season. He was categorically critical in his opinions about the forced way of inserting a supposed connection between this season and the first. He said he thought it seemed ridiculous. He is absolutely right. Those references and connections were just to pander to the fanservice. After watching the finale, it increases my feeling that those references are not coherent nor give strength to the story. Just to please.
I'm sorry, I can't throw any rockets for True Detective Night Country. Jodie Foster, Kali Reis and Finn Bennet stand out in their performances. It is rounded out by a cast of great actors, but some of them seemed wasted to me. A good beginning with a tedious development and a lousy denouement.

Estuve revisando la filmografía de esta directora y guinoista amexicana y tiene un montón de comedias ligeras, nada que realmente me llame la atención y que pueda ver su carácter como cineasta. Muchas producciones olvidables.
Mi entusiasmo inicial se esfumó tras un par de episodios. Hubo algunos que me parecieron extremadamente aburridos. La forma en que se resuelven los misterios planteados, incluido el crimen, es tan estúpida. Otra señal de cómo se resolvería fue el suceso en el que ambos protagonistas habían convivido en su pasado como compañeros de trabajo. Lo siento, no puedo tirar cohetes por True Detective Night Country. Jodie Foster, Kali Reis y Finn Bennet destacan en sus interpretaciones. La completa un reparto de grandes actores, pero algunos me parecieron desaprovechados. Un buen comienzo con un desarrollo tedioso y un pésimo desenlace.
