This made me reflect again on the dubbing of movies. Some of you already know my opinion about it. I've stated it in several posts. I hate dubbed movies. I don't watch movies dubbed into my native language. I'm sorry. I like to listen to the original language of the movie. I like to hear the real voices of the actors.
To all the community that posts about movies, I ask how do you evaluate the acting if you don't hear the original voice? When I see posts where they express positive points about the acting work and I know they saw it dubbed. I don't understand how they determine that, if they only heard the voice that someone else put in. The dubbing actors do a great job, I congratulate them, but it's never the same. There are accents, intonations, puns from each region, that are completely lost in the dubbing and it is not possible to determine the good work of the actor in the movie. So when they say that the performance was memorable, is it the performance of the dubbing actor? Even in this case, you would have to see both the film in the original language and the dubbed film to be able to tell the difference and make a value judgment on the final product.
I have seen dubbed movies. When I was a kid, the only source where I could watch movies was on TV and everything was dubbed into my language. I enjoyed many movies that way, but when I first walked into a movie theater where the movie was in the original language and had subtitles, everything changed for me. I began to detest everything that was dubbed. This does not mean that I hate my language. Let's not confuse things. I love my Spanish language and I love watching Spanish language movies and series. I am referring to the original language. If a movie is Argentine, I want to hear the voices of the Argentine actors, not other voices, even if they are in the same language. I defend the broadcast of the movie in the original language.
Esto me hizo reflexionar de nuevo sobre el doblaje de las películas. Algunos ya conocen mi opinión al respecto. La he manifestado en varios posts. Odio las películas dobladas. No veo películas dobladas a mi lengua materna. Lo siento. Me gusta escuchar el idioma original de la película. Me gusta escuchar las voces reales de los actores.
A toda la comunidad que postea sobre películas, les pregunto ¿Cómo evalúan la actuación si no escuchan la voz original? Cuando veo posts donde expresan puntos positivos sobre el trabajo actoral y se que la vieron doblada. No entiendo como determinan eso, si solo escucharon la voz que puso otra persona. Los actores de doblaje hacen un gran trabajo, los felicito, pero nunca es lo mismo. Hay acentos, entonaciones, juegos de palabras de cada región, que se pierden completamente en el doblaje y no es posible determinar el buen trabajo del actor de la película. Así que cuando dicen que la actuación fue memorable, ¿se trata de la actuación del actor de doblaje? Incluso en este caso, habría que ver tanto la película en el idioma original como la película doblada para poder notar la diferencia y emitir un juicio de valor sobre el producto final.
He visto películas dobladas. Cuando era niño, la única fuente donde podía ver películas era en la televisión y todo estaba doblado a mi idioma. Disfruté de muchas películas de esa manera, pero cuando entré por primera vez en una sala de cine donde la película estaba en el idioma original y tenía subtítulos, todo cambió para mí. Empecé a detestar todo lo que estaba doblado. Esto no significa que odie mi idioma. No confundamos las cosas. Me encanta mi idioma español y me encanta ver películas y series en español. Me refiero al idioma original. Si una película es argentina, quiero oír las voces de los actores argentinos, no otras voces, aunque sean en el mismo idioma. Defiendo la emisión de la película en su idioma original.

I have never been lazy to read. That's why I don't mind subtitles. The laziness seems to have spread. Most of the audience seems to like subtitles. For example, that's what happens to Americans, they love remakes of successful movies in another language but let them make their English versions, because they don't want to read subtitles and they want to see a known actor. Subtitled movies seem to be left for a minority.

En mi país, en décadas pasadas, la mayoría de las películas que se estrenaban en los cines estaban subtituladas. Desgraciadamente, esto ha retrocedido. Ahora es al revés. Nunca me ha dado pereza leer. Por eso no me molestan los subtítulos. La pereza parece haberse extendido. A la mayoria del publico parece que les gustan los subtítulos. Por ejemplo, eso le pasa a los maericanos, les encantan los remakes de películas de éxito en otro idioma pero que hagan sus versiones inglés, porque no quieren leer subtítulos y quieren ver a un actor conocido. Las películas subtituladas parecen quedar para una minoría.
