Every year there are many movies about revenge, because although we do not see it consciously, it is a feeling that any human being can feel (and execute). Good and evil is within us, there are people who dedicate their lives to do bad things and others decide to behave in the right way.
But even the kindest person in the world, with good feelings and offering only affection to others, can be pushed by circumstances (fate or chance) to commit acts that cross the line of what is morally acceptable and even laws.
The theme of revenge is addressed by acclaimed Danish filmmaker Anders Thomas Jensen in his latest film. Although Jensen has directed a few films, all of them excellent, this nearly 50-year-old filmmaker is best known for his screenwriting, having almost as many screenplays written as his age.
Perhaps it is because of his fine art of storytelling that "Riders of Justice" is a truly outstanding work. A revenge story, it is at the same time a drama about a small family and how they must cope with the loss of a loved one, all loaded with great black humor provided by a group of well-delineated characters, who get involved in situations that made me laugh out loud.
A revenge movie that makes you laugh? Yes, in my case I spent most of the movie with a smile on my face. It is the ability of Jansen, as screenwriter and director to make this mix of action, drama and humor, all in a balanced way, without ever losing control of the story he wants to tell us and even leaving some space for us to reflect on various issues.
Without hesitation, this is another film that I will include in my list of the best I have seen this year. Starring the filmmaker's fetish actor: Mads Mikkelsen, he is complemented by the rest of the actors, who have also worked with the director before and are the ones who will bring the most fun in this crime story.

Todos los años hay muchas películas sobre la venganza, porque aunque no lo veamos conscientemente, es un sentimiento que cualquier ser humano puede sentir (y ejecutar). El tema de la venganza es abordado por el aclamado cineasta danés Anders Thomas Jensen en su última película. Aunque Jensen ha dirigido algunas películas, todas ellas excelentes, este cineasta de casi 50 años es más conocido por su faceta de guionista, ya que tiene casi tantos guiones escritos como su edad.
Tal vez sea por su fino arte de contar historias por lo que "Riders of Justice " es una obra realmente sobresaliente. Una historia de venganza, es al mismo tiempo un drama sobre una pequeña familia y cómo deben afrontar la pérdida de un ser querido, todo ello cargado de un gran humor negro proporcionado por un grupo de personajes bien delineados, que se involucran en situaciones que me hicieron reír a carcajadas.

Es la habilidad de Jansen, como guionista y director para hacer esta mezcla de acción, drama y humor, todo de forma equilibrada, sin perder nunca el control de la historia que nos quiere contar e incluso dejando algún espacio para que reflexionemos sobre diversos temas.
Sin dudarlo, esta es otra película que incluiré en mi lista de las mejores que he visto este año. Protagonizada por el actor fetiche del cineasta: Mads Mikkelsen, se complementa con el resto de actores, que también han trabajado con el director anteriormente y son los que más diversión aportarán en esta historia criminal.
What is the plot of Riders of Justice?
Markus, a Danish soldier stationed in the Middle East, tells his wife Emma by phone that he will not be able to return soon. Mathilde, the daughter, is disappointed. By chance, her bicycle was stolen the night before and her mother has to take her to school, but the car doesn't work. Emma decides to take the day with her daughter, walk and take the subway. When they get on the subway, there happens to be Otto, a mathematician who is an expert in computer algorithms who has just been fired after a disastrous presentation of an application. When the movie ended, I started thinking about how strange and fascinating some of the things that happen in our lives are. How a mechanical breakdown, accompanied by unexpected news, can cause us to make a decision that will change our entire stability. But if we go further, as an element that will make a girl happy, it is the fire that will light the fuse and explode the lives of unknown people.
Markus is the most stoic character of all. With a rigid military background, his personality reflects the kind of man he is. Behind all that toughness, he actually hides a lot of feelings that he doesn't want to let out. He has a very hard way of dealing with loss, which will cause great conflicts in his relationship with his daughter Mathilde.
When Otto, Lennart and Emmenthaler arrive at the door of Markus' house, there will be a clash that will unite these very different people, but with a common goal. To find the culprit of the bombing.

Esas dos últimas palabras y alas que dije en la introducción de esta reseña. Destino o casualidad. Porque todos los acontecimientos que ocurren en esta historia tienen un desencadenante, a miles de kilómetros del lugar donde viven los protagonistas. El deseo navideño de una niña de tener una bicicleta de un determinado color. El robo de una bicicleta activa el efecto mariposa.
Hechos fortuitos, que nada tienen que ver con los personajes, provocarán efectos devastadores en sus vidas. Que no son perfectas, pero que ahora estarán marcadas por el dolor y la pérdida.
Cuando la película terminó, me puse a pensar en lo extrañas y fascinantes que son algunas de las cosas que ocurren en nuestras vidas. Cómo una avería mecánica, acompañada de una noticia inesperada, puede hacernos tomar una decisión que cambiará toda nuestra estabilidad. Pero si vamos más allá, como un elemento que hará feliz a una chica, es el fuego que encenderá la mecha y hará explotar la vida de personas desconocidas.
Markus es el personaje más estoico de todos. Con una rígida formación militar, su personalidad refleja el tipo de hombre que es. Detrás de toda esa dureza, en realidad esconde muchos sentimientos que no quiere dejar salir. Tiene una forma muy dura de afrontar la pérdida, lo que provocará grandes conflictos en su relación con su hija Mathilde.

We can go from a very sentimental moment to a scene loaded with action and death, to end up laughing with the funny sequences in which the trio of weird kids are the ones stealing the show.
Every action has consequences. The group of very different men must face the terrible consequences when they cross the lines of the law.
Why do they agree to push the boundaries? Although they have brilliant minds, they have lives full of frustrations and are a team of losers. Otto has just been fired from his job, Lennart has a pathetic job and Emmenthaler lives in lockdown, surrounded by his computer equipment, giving free rein to his hacker skills. He is also the craziest of them all, because he has passive obsessive-compulsive behavior that needs to be treated psychiatrically.
A group of men with different skills and personalities, who could only be together in a movie, will be the pilots of this journey with lots of action, drama and laughs. You won't be disappointed, it's another one of the best movies I've seen in recent months.
La relación de estos tres empollones con el militar Markus es lo que genera la mayoría de las situaciones divertidas que me hicieron reír y que estoy seguro serán del agrado de todos. Markus tendrá que entrenar rápidamente a estos inexpertos combatientes, para que sepan disparar armas y no les tiemble el pulso a la hora de matar. ¿Será capaz de convertirlos en máquinas de matar?

Podemos pasar de un momento muy sentimental a una escena cargada de acción y muerte, para acabar riendo con las secuencias divertidas en las que el trío de niños raros son los que roban el espectáculo.
Cada acción tiene consecuencias. El grupo de hombres muy diferentes debe enfrentarse a las terribles consecuencias que se producen cuando se cruzan las líneas de la ley.
¿Por qué aceptan traspasar los límites? Aunque tienen una mente brillante, tienen una vida llena de frustraciones y son un equipo de perdedores. Otto acaba de ser despedido de su trabajo, Lennart tiene un trabajo patético y Emmenthaler vive encerrado, rodeado de su equipo informático, dando rienda suelta a sus habilidades de hacker. Mads Mikkelsen plays Markus. The soldier. A man of strong character. A man of few words. Another funny character, for the seriousness with which he assumes his role and for how natural it is for him to get out of the most incredible entanglements with Markus' daughter. He is a famous actor in his country, with a long film career and a long and important work in television. and important work in television.
Nicolas Bro plays Emmenthaler, the most unhinged of them all. Hahaha. The one who made me laugh throughout the whole movie. Especially with his constant anxiety attacks, which turn into rage. He and Lennart live in a constant struggle. He's a talented actor, he's worked with the filmmaker in the past and his character is great. I liked him the most out of all of them.
Andrea Heick Gadeberg plays Mathilde, Markus' daughter, with whom he must mend their father-daughter relationship in the face of the tragedy that has befallen them. She is the teenage character in the story, but she is the most normal of them all. He is the point of balance in the middle of this whole gang of misfits.

Otro personaje divertido, por la seriedad con la que asume su papel y por lo natural que le resulta salir de los más increíbles enredos con la hija de Markus. Es un actor famoso en su país, con una larga trayectoria cinematográfica y un largo e importante trabajo en televisión.
Nicolas Bro interpreta a Emmenthaler, el más desquiciado de todos. Jajaja. El que me hizo reír durante toda la película. Sobre todo con sus constantes ataques de ansiedad, que se convierten en rabia. Él y Lennart viven en una lucha constante. Es un actor con talento, ha trabajado con el cineasta en el pasado y su personaje es genial. Es el que más me ha gustado de todos.
Andrea Heick Gadeberg interpreta a Mathilde, la hija de Markus, con la que debe arreglar su relación padre-hija ante la tragedia que les ha ocurrido. Es el personaje adolescente de la historia, pero es el más normal de todos. Es el punto de equilibrio en medio de toda esta pandilla de inadaptados.
