RE: 'King of New York' by Abel Ferrara Review: An excellent gritty crime neo-noir

It is one of my favorites of the genre. There's another one by Abel Ferrara that's on my list: The Funeral, reprising with the great Christopher Walken. And of course the sordid Bad Lieutenant with Kietel. Precisely these three films are from the nineties. A decade where great films of the crime genre were made.
