Hello dear reader, today I have a special post with 4 movies you ask to watch over the weekend. Four different genres that I enjoyed in a movie marathon, to catch up with recently released movies. Although one of them seemed to me the worst of them all, I still decided to review it, because you might like it. Drama, Action, Suspense, Eroticism. They are four very varied movies and for all tastes.

Aunque una de ellas me pareció la peor de todas, igual decidí reseñarla, porque tal vez te guste. Drama, Acción, Suspense, Erotismo. Cuatro películas muy variadas y para todos los gustos.

I liked almost all of them, but to be honest, none of them impressed me. Most of them are acceptable movies, just to pass the time. That's why I didn't want to review each one separately, because there's not much to say about them. One is a sequel, one is based on true events and the other two are a couple of releases from different streaming platforms. Which one will be your favorite? Read on to enjoy these fun reviews. Fun? Well, they were fun for me to write about.

Me gustaron casi todas, pero para ser sincero, ninguna me impresionó. La mayoría son películas aceptables, para pasar el rato. Por eso no he querido reseñar cada una por separado, porque no hay mucho que decir sobre ellas. Una es una secuela, otra está basada en hechos reales y las otras dos son un par de estrenos de diferentes plataformas de streaming. ¿Cuál será tu favorita? Sigue leyendo para disfrutar de estas divertidas reseñas. ¿Divertidas? bueno, para mi fue divertido escribir sobre ellas.

I've already lost count of the movies that have been released in the last two years with empowered, feisty women kicking bad men's asses . This year I've reviewed several with a female assassin as the lead. Hollywood knows a lot of us like that.
It's Mary Elizabeth Winstead's turn to play Kate, an assassin who works for a secret U.S. government agency, eliminating specific targets. She was recruited as a child by Varrick, who is her mentor and immediate boss. That is, just what we have seen since the spectacular Nikita. Well, Kate comes to be a Nikita of this generation.
Kate does a job in Osaka, where she eliminates the brother of the Japanese Yakuza boss, the victim's daughter was there and that fact completely traumatizes this professional assassin. We start off badly, an expert in killing, trained for it since she was a child, is traumatized by killing a target in front of a little girl. Total stupidity! But what can we do? I didn't write the script.
Months later, while trying to eliminate the yakuza boss, after a long time on his trail, Kate is poisoned with Polonium 204, this woman becomes a living dead with a maximum of 48 hours left to live (I think less) so she decides to look for that evil Japanese who she thinks has poisoned her to take revenge. Will she find him? Will she kill him? How will she find him? Or will she die first? This is where the show starts, with the spectacle of fights and deaths being the good part of the movie.
I liked the hand-to-hand fights, because they use all kinds of objects to kill. There are quite a few well filmed kills, exciting fights. The gunfights bored me a bit, you know, the usual, a bunch of bad guys shooting powerful guns and none of them hit the target. all with bad aim!
The big villain in this movie, we know just by looking at the poster. fuck! I already said there's not much originality in the script. It's a story a thousand times seen, but the actress does a good job, plus the story ties her emotionally to the young daughter of the man she killed in Osaka. They become friends and create a friendship in a few hours. Unlikely! Will our feisty Kate be saved? You have to see it. I think you'll like it. I give it a 3.5/5 because I enjoyed Kate killing tattooed Japanese yakuza.

Aquí empieza el show, con el espectáculo de peleas y muertes que es la parte buena de la película.
Me han gustado las peleas cuerpo a cuerpo, porque utilizan todo tipo de objetos para matar. Hay bastantes muertes bien filmadas, peleas emocionantes. Los tiroteos me aburrieron un poco, ya sabes, lo de siempre, un montón de malos disparando armas potentes y ninguno da en el blanco. ¡Todos con mala puntería!
El gran villano de esta película, lo sabemos sólo con ver el cartel. ¡Joder! Ya dije que no hay mucha originalidad en el guión. Es una historia mil veces vista, pero la actriz hace un buen trabajo, además la historia la vincula emocionalmente con la joven hija del hombre que mató en Osaka. Se hacen amigas y crean una amistad en pocas horas. ¡Inverosimil! . ¿Se salvará nuestra aguerrida Kate? Tienes que verlo. Creo que te gustará. Le doy un 3,5/5 porque disfruté con Kate matando yakuzas japoneses tatuados.

The movie is about the creation of the fund to compensate the families of the 9/11 victims. That atrocious event, in which crazy terrorist extremists changed the history of the world, initiating an era of terror.
The film follows the formula of films made to participate in festivals and qualify for awards. As I commented yesterday to another user, it follows the formula of the film Spotlight, which won an Oscar in the past decade, because this film is from the same producers, where Keaton was also in the cast. Do you remember that movie? No, but they use the same formula to get into the next award shows.
I like stories based on true events and in this one it's interesting to see how they managed to be as fair as possible, to pay the money to the families of the victims, so they wouldn't sue, creating a big personal conflict in the main character, whose job is to determine the cost of a life in that kind of situation. Of course, a life really has no price, but we live in a world where money rules, where society is governed by the free market and money is king, so in those situations you have to determine the cost, according to social class, legal status, employment, etc. Like it or not, that's the world we live in.
I think the film softens a lot of situations too much, to make it emotional and digestible for all audiences. I already said it, it's made to try to get into awards season. Some very emotional subplots and scenes are inserted at the exact moment, to influence the viewer's emotions. So much so, that even though you think the protagonist gets a victory and justice for all, in reality true justice, from my point of view, is that the people would have sued, but it didn't happen that way. Therefore, the status quo really won. That you don't want to see it, that's up to you.
The one I do want to see, at the very least nominated for a Golden Globe, is Michael Keaton, who gives nuance to the superb character he plays. Tucci, who is also excellent, doesn't get as much screen time as Keaton, who has the whole movie on his back. Because of him I finished watching it, because there is a part of the plot that becomes heavy, or maybe because I saw it in the wee hours of the morning and Mr. Morpheus was already calling me to go to bed.
Good movie, but not the wonder that many had told me in their reviews. I'll be benevolent with the movie , because Keaton I love how he acts, so I'll give it a 3.7/5 rating and recommend you watch it. It's on Netflix.

Ahora nos comportamos de forma seria. Dejémonos de bromas, porque esta película trata un tema de la vida real. Basada en el libro escrito por el abogado que Micheal Keaton interpreta fabulosamente.
La película trata de la creación del fondo para compensar a las familias de las víctimas del 11-S. Ese suceso atroz, en el que unos locos extremistas terroristas cambiaron la historia del mundo, iniciando una era de terror.
La película sigue la fórmula de las películas realizadas para participar en festivales y optar a premios. Como comenté ayer a otro usuario, sigue la fórmula de la película Spotlight, que ganó un Oscar en la década pasada. porque este film es de los mismos productores, conde también estaba Keaton en el elenco. ¿Se acuerdan de esa película? No , pero usan la misma formula para meterse en las próximas galas de premios.
Me gustan las historias basadas en hechos reales y en esta es interesante ver cómo se las arreglaron para ser lo más justos posible, para pagar el dinero a las familias de las víctimas, para que no demandaran, creando un gran conflicto personal en el protagonista, cuyo trabajo es determinar el costo de una vida en ese tipo de situación. Por supuesto, una vida realmente no tiene precio, pero vivimos en un mundo en el que el dinero manda, en el que la sociedad se rige por el libre mercado y el dinero es el rey, así que en esas situaciones hay que determinar el coste, según la clase social, el estatus legal, el empleo, etc. Nos guste o no, ese es el mundo en el que vivimos.
Creo que la película suaviza demasiado muchas situaciones, para hacerla emotiva y digerible para todos los públicos. Ya lo dije, está hecha para intentar entrar en la temporada de premios. Se insertan algunas subtramas y escenas muy emotivas en el momento exacto, para influir en las emociones del espectador. Tanto es así, que aunque pienses que el protagonista consigue una victoria y justicia para todos, en realidad la verdadera justicia, desde mi punto de vista, es que el pueblo hubiese demandado, pero no ocurrió así. Por lo tanto, el statu quo realmente ganó.
Al que sí quiero ver, minimo nominado al Globo de Oro, es a Michael Keaton, quien le da matices al personaje soberbio que interpreta. Tucci, que también está excelente, no tiene tanto tiempo en pantalla como Keaton, que se echa toda la película a la espalda. Por él terminé de verla, porque hay una parte de la trama que se hace pesada, o quizás porque la vi de madrugada y el señor Morfeo ya me llamaba para que me fuera a la cama.
Buena película, pero no la maravilla que muchos me habían dicho en sus reseñas. Seré benevolente con la película , porque Keaton me encanta como actúa, así que le daré una puntuación de 3,7/5 y recomiendo que la veas. Está en Netflix.

The first film was very successful, I liked it a lot, especially for the surprise twist when the three young men who enter to steal, find something shocking in the basement. This second part no longer has the surprise effect, because we know the character, but I thought it was a good movie with a half full of suspense, wanting to emulate the first film and then a display of brutal action, with many deaths.
This time those who enter the house, do not do it to steal, they have a very clear objective, in addition they are five crazy ex-military men who were in Afghanistan, so they are very sick in the head, they enjoy killing, they are drug dealers and seem obsessed with the girl. Why do they want to kidnap her? What is happening? Who are these crazy people?
The movie has more action and deaths than the first one, but I found everything that happens with the girl and the reasons why they go looking for her at the blind man's house a bit implausible. I think they exaggerated it too much, it made me laugh a little bit, but I could still enjoy the movie, because I like films with a lot of deaths.
We meet the blind man and we know he is a terminator who will do everything possible to save the girl's life. Let's remember that he is an old man with the trauma of his dead daughter, who has done bad things (the ones we see in the first film) but now all the bad guys become heroes, so the protagonist is a man looking for redemption.
We have to wait for the box office results of the movie, for the movie company to announce a third part. yes! There are possibilities of a third movie, or even more, for me this will be a franchise that they will squeeze to the last drop. Let's wait a few weeks. The product and the director of the sequel, already said they would love to continue the story. The blind man will be back, I assure you.

El ciego, interpretado por Stephen Lang, vuelve, una vez más, a enfrentarse a un allanamiento de morada y a rescatar a Phoenix, una niña de la que sabemos muy poco, sólo que escapó de un incendio cuando era muy pequeña y que ahora vive con el ciego, que cree que es su padre.
Sabemos que hay algo extraño en toda esta historia, porque vimos la primera película y sabemos que el ciego es un desafortunado lunático, ex-militar que no le tiembla el pulso a la hora de matar.
La primera película estuvo muy lograda, me gustó mucho, sobre todo por el giro sorpresa cuando los tres jóvenes que entran a robar, se encuentran con algo impactante en el sótano. Esta segunda parte ya no tiene el efecto sorpresa, porque conocemos al personaje, pero me pareció una buena película con una mitad llena de suspenso, queriendo emular la primera película y luego un despliegue de acción brutal, con muchas muertes.
Esta vez los que entran en la casa , no lo hacen para robar, tienen un objetivo muy claro, además se trata de cinco ex militares locos que estuvieron en Afganistán, por lo que están muy mal de la cabeza, disfrutan matando, son traficantes de drogas y parecen obsesionados con la niña ¿Por qué quieren secuestrarla? ¿Qué está pasando? ¿Quiénes son estos locos?
La película tiene más acción y muertes que la primera, pero me pareció un poco inverosímil todo lo que pasa con la niña y las razones por las que van a buscarla a la casa del ciego. Creo que lo exageraron demasiado, me dio un poco de risa, pero igual pude disfrutar la película, porque me gustan los films con muchas muertes.
Conocemos al ciego y sabemos que es un terminator que hará todo lo posible por salvar la vida de la niña. Recordemos que es un anciano con el trauma de su hija muerta, que ha hecho cosas malas (las que vemos en la primera película) pero ahora todos los malos se convierten en héroes, así que el protagonista es un hombre que busca la redención.
Hay que esperar a los resultados de taquilla de la película, para que la compañía cinematográfica anuncie una tercera parte. ¡sí! Hay posibilidades de una tercera película, o incluso más, para mí esta será una franquicia que exprimirán hasta la última gota. Esperemos unas semanas. El producto y el director de la secuela, ya dijeron que les encantaría continuar la historia. El ciego volverá, te lo aseguro.

I'm going to end with this movie, which is the worst of all. I have to tell you the truth, this movie found on Amazon Prime, is bad. why? First let me tell you briefly what its plot is:
Pippa and Thomas are a couple who love each other and rent an amazing apartment in the city, to live happily and love each other. But that same night they move in, they realize that in the building across the street, they have as neighbors a gorgeous couple: Julia and Seb. He is a professional photographer who makes love to his wife and also cheats on her with the models who come to have their pictures taken. Pippa and Thomas are fascinated by spying on their neighbors, they even buy a device to listen to what they talk, because by chance, Julia goes to get her glasses done at the optician's where Pippa works and they become friends. But nothing is what it seems folks, this story has its shocking plot twists. Well, for some people they will be shocking, for me they bored me.
This movie is beyond salvation, I needed Kate or the blind man to show up and kill them all. I need the lawyer for the movie based on true events to compensate me for wasting my time watching this garbage.
This erotic thriller is nonsense in every way. The extensive sex scene with the beautiful actress Sidney Sweeney , who plays Pippa, is not enough. I already saw her naked in the series Euphoria, so here she shows again all her attributes, which are big and beautiful, but the story is bad, not even the sex they show couldn't keep me from being annoyed.
The actor who plays Thomás, I don't know where they got him from, but I didn't understand the English he spoke, he sounded like he had a potato in his mouth. I hated his voice and his character is stupid, it's a load of nonsense about this couple. Thomas is bad at doing his homework in bed, he either falls asleep or he doesn't give enough pleasure to Pippa, who is now busy seeing the beau who lives in the apartment across the street, who is a sex machine. hahaha what did poor Thomas expect?
But the most absurd thing happens in the final third of the story, where some revelations come out and the screenwriters put in two twists to surprise the viewer, but what I was doing was laughing at so much craziness together. I don't know who wrote this, I didn't want to look for that information, if you know, tell me in the comments, because it makes me lazy to look for those who had the idea of this movie that seems a tribute to the old erotic thrillers of the late eighties and early nineties, but it fails as an erotic drama, it has no soul.
Do I recommend this movie? No, but it's up to you, if you like the actress and want to see her hot scene, then see the movie. I give it a 2.5/5 rating because it's not that bad and because I like the actress. But really don't waste your time with this movie and look for another one.

Voy a terminar con esta película, que es la peor de todas. Tengo que decirles la verdad, esta película encontrada en Amazon Prime, es mala. ¿por qué? Primero déjenme contarles brevemente cuál es su trama:
Pippa y Thomas son una pareja que se ama y alquilan un increíble apartamento en la ciudad, para vivir felices y amarse. Pero esa misma noche que se mudan, se dan cuenta de que en el edificio de enfrente, tienen como vecinos a una pareja guapísima: Julia y Seb. Él es fotógrafo profesional y se dedica a hacer el amor a su mujer y también a engañarla con las modelos que vienen a hacerse fotos. A Pippa y Thomas les fascina espiar a sus vecinos, incluso compran un aparato para escuchar lo que hablan, porque por casualidad, Julia va a hacerse las gafas a la óptica donde trabaja Pippa y se hacen amigas. Pero nada es lo que parece amigos, esta historia tiene sus giros argumentales impactantes. Bueno, para algunos serán impactantes, a mí me aburrieron.
Esta película no tiene salvación, necesitaba que apareciera Kate o el hombre ciego y los matara a todos. Necesito que el abogado de la película basada en hechos reales me indemnice por perder el tiempo viendo esta basura.
Este thriller erótico es un despropósito en todos los sentidos. La extensa escena de sexo con la bella actriz Sidney Sweeney , que interpreta a Pippa, no es suficiente. Ya la vi desnuda en la serie Euforia, así que aquí vuelve a mostrar todos sus atributos, que son grandes y hermosos, pero la historia es mala, ni siquiera el sexo que muestran pudo evitar que me molestara.
El actor que interpreta a Thomás, no sé de dónde lo sacaron, pero no entendí el inglés que hablaba, sonaba como si tuviera una papa en la boca. Odié su voz y su personaje es estúpido, es un cúmulo de tonterías sobre esta pareja. Thomas es malo para hacer los deberes en la cama, o se duerme o no le da suficiente placer a Pippa, que ahora se dedica a ver al galán que vive en el apartamento de enfrente, que es una máquina de sexo. jajaja ¿qué esperaba el pobre Thomas?
Pero lo más absurdo ocurre en el tercio final de la historia, donde salen algunas revelaciones y los guionistas meten dos giros para sorprender al espectador, pero lo que yo hacía era reírme de tanta locura junta. No sé quién ha escrito esto, no he querido buscar esa información, si lo sabes, dímelo en los comentarios, porque me da pereza buscar a los que tuvieron la idea de esta película que parece un homenaje a los viejos thrillers eróticos de finales de los ochenta y principios de los noventa, pero que falla como drama erótico, no tiene alma.
¿Recomiendo esta película? No, pero depende de ti, si te gusta la actriz y quieres ver su escena caliente, entonces ve la película. Le doy una puntuación de 2,5/5 por no ser tan mala y porque me gusta la actriz. Pero de verdad no pierdas tu tiempo con esta película y busca otra.

Estas son las cuatro películas que vi el fin de semana, buenas excelentes, malas, ya les di mis impresiones y calificaciones, ahora tienes que verlas y decirme que te parecieron. A lo mejor te parece que The Voyeurs es una obra maestra y el que no aprecia el cine soy yo.
