Does anyone here still watch The Walking Dead and the spin offs? I still enjoy these series. I know a lot of people stopped watching The Walking Dead a long time ago. They got tired of their story. I stayed watching it in zombie mode hahaha. But I won't talk about the mother series, I'll talk about the first Spin Off: Fear The Walking Dead, which aired the end of its sixth season and I thought it was an excellent one. WARNING: The post has many Spoilers , if you have not yet seen it or plan to see it in the future, do not read on.

What started with a story about a family in the beginning of the zombie epidemic, has undergone a lot of changes in each season. Many couldn't stand some of the inconsistencies and didn't continue watching the series. For me, I was annoyed by the contrivances of the writers, especially the death of the character Madison Clark. I am a fan of actress Kim Dickens and her departure from the series was shocking to me.
Then came that mid-season that served as a transition. By decision of the actor who played Nick Clark, Madison's son, his character dies. It was a difficult moment for the continuity of the series. I thought it would be the end of the spin-off. That other initial characters were still alive in the story did not seem to be
enough to save it from disaster.
AMC has great revenue from everything related to The Walking Dead. Although it has lost a lot of fans, the ratings were still acceptable for the network. Would they let FTWD die? Of course they wouldn't. They had the idea to reboot the story, revamp the image, give it a different identity, add new characters appealing to the audience and in a masterful move, take secondary characters from the main series, to take the lead of FTWD.
I really liked the way they got out of the labyrinth they had gotten themselves into. Fear The Walking Dead was renewed and so far I can say that I like this spin off better than the original series.

After watching the last episode of the sixth season, the picture looks clearer. The path of what will be the final season of FTWD is one that will offer us more answers about something that keeps us intrigued both in the mother series and in the other spin off set in the future.
A seventh and final season, equally divided into two parts, is confirmed. We also know that the original series will have the final season, where we will see the Commonwealth plot with some variations from the comic. That final season should also connect with FTWD and World Beyond .
Regarding Rick's solo movies and his return to the series nothing more is known. AMC will continue to exploit the franchise, they have approved another Spin Off, this time of the adventures of Daryl and Carol. But I see this Spin Off as a filler, I do not think they bring something new, but they must necessarily include that element that will unite all the stories: the enigmatic CRM, which led Rick to an unknown place and will control all existing communities in the future, as seen in World Beyond.

Tras ver el último episodio de la sexta temporada, el panorama se ve más claro. El camino de la que será la última temporada de FTWD es el que nos ofrecerá más respuestas sobre algo que nos mantiene intrigados tanto en la serie madre como en el otro spin off ambientado en el futuro.
Se confirma una séptima y última temporada, dividida igualmente en dos partes. También sabemos que la serie original tendrá la temporada final, donde veremos la trama de la Commonwealth con algunas variaciones respecto al cómic. Esa temporada final también debería conectar con FTWD y World Beyond .
Respecto a las películas en solitario de Rick y su regreso a la serie no se sabe nada más. AMC seguirá explotando la franquicia, han aprobado otro Spin Off, esta vez de las aventuras de Daryl y Carol. Pero este Spin Off lo veo como un relleno, no creo que aporten algo nuevo, pero necesariamente deben incluir ese elemento que unirá todas las historias: los enigmáticos CRM, que llevaron a Rick a un lugar desconocido y serán los que controlen todas las comunidades existentes en el futuro, como se vio en World Beyond.
This is not the end
Season six, with its promotional posters, alerted us to the danger of a nuclear apocalypse. The penultimate episode left us with the launch of the missile with several nuclear warheads and the characters scattered, seeing what seems like the end of everything.
The beginning of the final episode is great, the whole chapter has been structured and endowed with drama, preparing us to say goodbye to most of the characters, because until that moment, only Alice, one of the few characters who has been around since the beginning of the series, is the one who is safe, locked in the anti-nuclear bunker.
Rachel, a totally secondary character, gives us an incredible opening scene that will set the tone for the entire episode. The feeling that the end has come for all of them, that they will not be able to escape, is very well captured in each of the segments.
Although we know that it will not be the end, because some time ago they announced the renewal for the seventh season. The writers and directors have managed to build one of the most exciting seasons of all FTWD. My question was: which character will we say goodbye to? Will it be Morgan's final death? Will Strand's final hour have come? Will Daniel be one of the fallen?
The second half of the season began with a surprise, with the farewell of a character that I and many of the fans loved. John Dorie's death hurt, mostly because of the way it happened, the person who pulled the trigger. With that episode I realized that they had meshed a good plot to close season six and it happened. The end of Virginia's tyranny was another of the season's surprising moments. Plus the revelations that her sheltered sister, Dakota, was actually her daughter and that she was the one who saved Morgan from death.

La sexta temporada, con sus carteles promocionales, nos alertó del peligro de un apocalipsis nuclear. El penúltimo episodio nos dejó con el lanzamiento del misil con varias cabezas nucleares y los personajes dispersos, viendo lo que parece el fin de todo.
El comienzo del episodio final es genial, todo el capítulo ha sido estructurado y dotado de dramatismo, preparándonos para despedirnos de la mayoría de los personajes, porque hasta ese momento, sólo Alicia, uno de los pocos personajes que está desde el principio de la serie, es la que está a salvo, encerrada en el búnker antinuclear.
Rachel, un personaje totalmente secundario, nos regala una increíble escena inicial que marcará el tono de todo el episodio. La sensación de que el final ha llegado para todos ellos, que no podrán escapar, está muy bien plasmada en cada uno de los segmentos.
Aunque sabemos que no será el final, porque hace un tiempo anunciaron la renovación para la séptima temporada. Los guionistas y directores han conseguido construir una de las temporadas más emocionantes de todo FTWD. Mi pregunta era: ¿De qué personaje nos despediremos? ¿Será la muerte definitiva de Morgan? ¿Habrá llegado la hora final de Strand? ¿Será Daniel uno de los caídos?
La segunda mitad de la temporada comenzó con una sorpresa, con la despedida de un personaje que a mí y a muchos de los fans nos gustaba. La muerte de John Dorie dolió, sobre todo por la forma en que se produjo, la persona que apretó el gatillo. Teddy's plan
That everything happened in the first episodes of the second half of the season was the right thing to do, because there is another enemy we didn't know the name of, but who has a macabre plan to exterminate with everything. The end is the beginning. That's the motto used by the psychopath Teddy, an antagonist character who makes his appearance at the end of the season, with that crazy cult leader look, he has managed to convince a lot of people to be his followers and give their lives to restart civilization, destroying it completely.
The way they inserted the character into the plot was perfect, making him believable, by fabricating his past and the reasons for his plan. he's a freaking lunatic!
What I did see very forced was the inclusion of John Dorie's father. But I understand that after the character's departure, it was necessary to keep some of his spirit in the story, something that only the wife can't fill the void, neither using Dorie's hat nor Dorie's guns. I accept that the screenwriters put this in, plus they hired the great Keith Carradine, an actor who does any character very well. He is a good addition to the story.
Teddy will succeed in his evil plan, it will be the end of many, the missile is launched and there is no way to stop the nuclear warheads from making impact. Only some will be saved. Do you want to know who will be saved? Do you want to know who will die? I'm not going to tell you, you have to watch the episode. One of the deaths, I can tell you I really enjoyed it, because I hated the character, every minute I saw her on screen, I wanted to rip her head off, she deserved that ending, to be consumed by the blast. Go to hell bitch. Hahaha.
El plan de Teddy
Que sucediera en los primeros episodios de la segunda mitad de la temporada era lo correcto, porque hay otro enemigo del que no sabíamos el nombre, pero que tiene un plan macabro para exterminar con todo.* El fin es el principio. Es el lema que utiliza el psicópata Teddy, un personaje antagonista que hace su aparición a finales de la temporada, con ese aspecto de líder de secta loco, ha conseguido convencer a un montón de gente para que sean sus seguidores y den su vida para reiniciar la civilización, destruyéndola por completo.
La forma en que insertaron al personaje en la trama fue perfecta, haciéndolo creíble, al fabricar su pasado y las razones de su plan. ¡Es un maldito lunático!
Lo que sí vi muy forzado fue la inclusión del padre de John Dorie. Pero entiendo que tras la marcha del personaje, era necesario mantener algo de su espíritu en la historia, algo que sólo la esposa no puede llenar el vacío, ni usando el sombrero ni las armas de Dorie. Acepto que los guionistas pusieran esto, además de que contrataron al gran Keith Carradine, un actor que hace muy bien cualquier personaje. Es un buen aporte a la historia.
Teddy tendrá éxito en su malvado plan, será el fin de muchos, el misil es lanzado y no hay forma de evitar que las cabezas nucleares hagan impacto. Sólo algunos se salvarán. ¿Quieres saber quién se salvará? ¿Quieres saber quiénes morirán? No te lo voy a decir, tienes que ver el episodio. Una de las muertes, te puedo decir que la disfruté mucho, porque odiaba al personaje, cada minuto que la veía en pantalla, quería arrancarle la cabeza, se merecía ese final, ser consumida por la explosión. Vete al infierno loca. Jajaja.
THE CRM
He knew they would play a pivotal role at the last moment. Althea had disappeared several episodes earlier to warn the woman she loves of the impending danger. I thought the CRM would show up at the end and manage to destroy the missile before they launched the warheads, but they did not. I was surprised, because the warheads made impact, the macabre and beautiful mushroom nuke we see in all its glory.
A CRM helicopter shows up and manages to do some good. How did Althea manage to do it? How did she convince her friend - girlfriend to help her? Do the CRM leadership know? Where is Althea? Where will they take this group of characters? That's a lot of questions, all related to CRM, and they will surely be answered in the beginning of Season 7. When we see the damage caused by the nuclear explosions and all the characters must find themselves in a more apocalyptic area.
Apparently, the last season of FTWD will offer clues about the CRM, since their paths have already crossed and it is inevitable that some of the main characters want to know more about them and the CRM itself is interested in having some of them in its secret base. Who are A and who are B? Let's remember that the CRM took Rick away.Will FTWD be the one to show us the origins of the CRM? We will have to wait for next season.

The future
There is another question I ask myself, after seeing how Strand comes clean with the character he meets in the abandoned building. Between laughter and tears, he recognizes the type of person he is, a shark who has cheated all his life, taking advantage of others, always thinking of survival. He is a survivor and the explosion is a new beginning for the civilization some are trying to build. I make speculations about the future of the overall story of the franchise and Strand can easily become one of the leaders of the MCA that we will see in World Beyond. He's a fox who seizes any opportunity and is more in line with the ruthless way the CRM acts in the spin off set a decade later.
But where do we leave Alicia? She is the complete opposite of Strand, she retains her mother's spirit, but in the last few episodes she saw how all of Madison's sacrifice was in vain. The people her mother saved, turned into ruthless beings, hurting others. She is also one of the original FTWD characters who can undergo a transformation and become part of the CRM. I want to see more meaning to Teddy's words, when he locked her in the nuclear shelter telling her that she was the future.
Althea? She is in love with one of the female soldiers in the CRM. For love she can give up what Morgan was building and join the CRM, who are a community that has plans to establish a government that will rebuild civilization, something Althea desires, which is why her character was recording all the survivors she found, to leave a testimony of what the world was like.
The future of the seventh season looks promising. There may even be appearances by other characters from the mother series. It is certain that the CRM will play an important role as the last great villain of the series. Who will survive? World Beyond will only have two seasons, so we may be surprised with a big reveal of a familiar character from this series, being one of the leaders of the CRM in the enigmatic future.
