Hello, living beings! Today I'm back with a review of this weird thing I finished watching recently, it's a very weird series and I'm thankful I didn't finish watching the trailer because then I wouldn't have watched it, and I'll tell you why.
Sweet Home is going to tell us the story of all the people who get locked in a residential building after the whole country is declared an emergency when people start turning into monsters. I wish the series was as simple as that description, but no, things are going to get really horrible before we know everything that's really going on.
¡Hola, seres vivos! Hoy vuelvo con una reseña de esta cosa rara que terminé de ver hace poco, es una serie muy rara y agradezco no haber terminado de ver el trailer porque entonces no la hubiera visto, y ya les diré por qué.
Dulce Hogar nos va a contar la historia de todas las personas que quedan encerradas en un edificio residencial después de que todo el país es declarado en emergencia cuando las personas comienzan a transformarse en monstruos. Ojalá la serie fuera tan simple como esa descripción, pero no, las cosas se van a volver muy horribles antes de que sepamos todo lo que está sucediendo de verdad.
The first chapter is one of the best and it is perfect because it captures the viewer's attention completely, everything starts as an ordinary story while the characters are introduced little by little until all hell breaks loose and there is only chaos around everyone.
The monsters are going to be incredible, the transformations and everything that happens around them, but they have a great weakness, and that is that most of the monsters are going to be too animated, they are going to look like a caricature, if they had been more realistic the series would have been scarier than it is, because yes, on more than one occasion we are going to hold our breath in fear of making noise because of what we are seeing.
El primer capítulo es uno de los mejores y es perfecto porque capta la atención del espectador por completo, todo comienza como una hisstoria común y corriente mientras nos van presentando poco a poco los personajes hasta que el infierno se desata y solo queda caos alrededor de todos.
Los monstruos van a ser increíbles, las transformaciones y todo lo que sucede a su alrededor, pero tienen una gran debilidad, y es que la mayoría de los monstruos van a estar demasiado animados, van a parecer una caricatura, si hubieran sido más realistas la serie hubiera dado más miedo del que da, porque sí, en más de una ocasión vamos a contener la respiración con miedo de hacer ruido por lo que estamos viendo.
My favorite thing about the series was definitely the individual stories of the characters, little by little over the course of the chapters we get to know each of the people who live in the building and what led them to that specific place, some good, some bad, but each one going out of the screen until we identify them with the people around us.
Just to give you an idea, among the many themes and personal stories we will find selfishness, cowardice, murder, rape, child abuse, suicide, depression, dissociation from reality, among many other things. I think they used the excuse of humans turning into monsters to show the reality, and that is that humans do not have to turn into monsters to be called monsters.
Mi cosa favorita de la serie definitivamente fueron las historias individuales de los personajes, poco a poco con el transcurso de los capítulos vamos a conocer a cada una de las personas que viven en el edificio y lo que los llevó a ese lugar en específico, unos buenos, otros malos, pero cada uno saliéndose de la pantalla hasta que los identificamos con las personas a nuestro alrededor.
Solo para que se hagan una idea, entre los muchos temas e historias personales vamos a encontrar el egoísmo,la cobardía, asesinatos, violaciones, abuso infantil, suicidio, depresión, disociaciones de la realidad, entre muchas otras cosas. Pienso que usaron la excusa de los humanos convirtiéndose en monstruos para mostrar la realidad, y esa es que los humanos no tienen que transformarse en monstruos para que puedan ser llamados así.
Too many emotions are going to be present, from the fear of ceasing to be human and become a beast without control, to risking life to protect those who can not do it for themselves, the quality as human beings will always be tested, even in us as viewers, because agreeing or disagreeing with the decisions made in the series says a lot about ourselves.

And although I do not recommend watching it, because as I said, the animation of the monsters is daunting, once the monsters take a back seat, the series is very well done and deserves to be seen, something that Koreans definitely know how to do is to create audiovisual productions full of drama, and here we will find plenty of it.
Demasiadas emociones van a estar presentes, desde el miedo de dejar de ser humano y convertirse en una bestia sin control, hasta arriesgar la vida para proteger a aquellos que no pueden hacerlo por sí mismos, la calidad como seres humanos siempre va a estar puesta a prueba, incluso en nosotros como expectadores, pues estar de acuerdo o en desacuerdo con las decisiones tomadas en la serie dicen mucho de nosotros mismos.
¡Aquí les dejo el trailer! Y aunque no se los recomiendo ver, porque como les dije, la animación de los monstruos es desalentadora, pero una vez los monstruos pasan a segundo plano, la serie está muy bien hecha y merece ser vista, algo que definitivamente saber hacer los coreanos es crear producciones audiovisuales llenas de mucho drama, y aquí lo encontraremos por montones.
