El Sustituto / Changeling
Esta película producida en 2008 dirigida por Clint Eastwood y protagonizada por Angelina Jolie, está ambientada en la ciudad de Los Angeles de la década de 1920 y relata la historia de una serie de secuestros y asesinatos de niños, en donde la protagonista tuvo la mala fortuna de haber sido víctima de este secuestrador, pues su pequeño de unos 8 años desaparece una tarde mientras se encontraba en su casa esperando a que su madre regresara del trabajo. La policía de Los Angeles emprende las investigaciones y al no dar con el paradero del niño, deciden buscar a otro niño y entregarlo a la protagonista para quedar bien antes los medios de comunicación, la madre al sentirse indignada y sin haber recuperado a su hijo, se enfrenta legalmente y mediáticamente contra la policía de Los Angeles, quienes haciendo abuso de poder, pues el cuerpo policial esta controlado por las mafias, dictan medidas contra la protagonista para recluirla en un psiquiátrico alegando que ha perdido la cordura. Pero de su lado tiene gente honesta que no descansa hasta dar con el paradero de su pequeño y sacarla del psiquiátrico, al mismo tiempo que buscan que se haga justicia y toman medidas legales contra la policía por el daño ocasionado, así como contra el secuestrador que finalmente es descubierto.
This film produced in 2008 directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Angelina Jolie, is set in the city of Los Angeles in the 1920s and tells the story of a series of kidnappings and murders of children, where the protagonist had the misfortune of being the victim of this kidnapper, because her little boy of about 8 years disappears one afternoon while he was at home waiting for his mother to return from work. Este film es de mis favoritos principalmente por que muestra una serie de sucesos que no creí posibles, me resultaron impactantes, en primer lugar la crueldad humana, individuos capaces de hacer tanto daño a los niños. Y en segundo lugar la indiferencia de las autoridades, la injusticia, el abuso de poder y la corrupción, algo muy similar a lo que está sucediendo actualmente en mi país. Además de eso, la trama está perfectamente entretejida, y la actuación del reparto es excepcional.
This film is one of my favorites mainly because it shows a series of events that I did not believe possible, I found shocking, first of all human cruelty, individuals capable of doing so much harm to children. And secondly the indifference of the authorities, the injustice, the abuse of power and corruption, something very similar to what is currently happening in my country. Besides that, the plot is perfectly made, and the acting of the cast is exceptional.
Madame Satã
Esta película brasileña producida en 2002, dirigida por Karim Aïnouz y protagonizada por el actor brasileño Lázaro Ramos, narra la historia de João Francisco un hombre habitante de un barrio bohemio de Rio de Janeiro en la década de 1930, que lucha por convertirse en una afamada estrella, sin embargo su camino está plagado de obstáculos, al enfrentarse a los prejuicios por ser analfabeto, pobre, negro y homosexual, y al mismo tiempo se enfrenta a sus propios demonios en un entorno hostil que lo llevan a irrumpir en el mundo de la estafa, la violencia y el crimen. En contraste se nos muestra su lado protector como padre adoptivo de siete niños, y su entrega para con sus amistades. El protagonista explora múltiples facetas en su camino al estrellato, para finalmente convertirse en figura icónica del Carnaval de Rio. Es una historia de sueños y determinación, frente a un mundo completamente adverso. Un hombre que pese a las dificultades no se dio por vencido, creando así el mito de Madame Satã

Este film se encuentra entre mis favoritos porque nos muestra cómo a pesar de las circunstancias más adversas es posible realizar los sueños, si bien no se puede decir que el protagonista es un ejemplo a seguir, su pasión y su perseverancia sí que lo son. Una de las cosas que más me gusta es lo multifacético del personaje, así como su personalidad volátil, siendo capaz de pasar del cariño a la ira en un segundo, lo que hace que la historia sea impredecible. Además de la impecable actuación de Lázaro Ramos, me encantó la actuación de Flávio Bauraqui como Tabu cuya personalidad risueña y afeminada es única.
This film is among my favorites, because it shows us how despite the most adverse circumstances it is possible to realize dreams, although it can not be said that the protagonist is an example to follow, his passion and perseverance are. One of the things I like the most is how multifaceted the character is, as well as his volatile personality, being able to go from affection to anger in a second, which makes the story unpredictable. Besides the impeccable performance of Lázaro Ramos, I loved the performance of Flávio Bauraqui as Tabu whose giggly and effeminate personality is unique.
The Dirt
Esta película producida 2019, dirigida por Jeff Tremaine, narra la historia de la banda de Glam Mötley Crüe, es una película biográfica de drama y comedia ambientada en las décadas de los 70’s y 80’s, que muestra desde los orígenes de la banda, su camino al estrellato, su momento cumbre y su final. Es una historia que tiene de todo un poco, muestra las diferentes realidades de cada uno de sus integrantes, sus momentos de alegría, desenfreno, frustración y tragedia. Su historia está tan bien elaborada que no hace falta conocer la banda para disfrutar este film.

Si bien Mötley Crüe no es una de mis bandas favoritas, este film es uno de mis favoritos porque además de que me reí mucho, de cierta manera me sentí identificado con todos los momentos que atraviesan las bandas de rock, por supuesto mi experiencia no se puede comparar con la historia de esta banda, pero sí que encontré algunas cosas en común.
Although Mötley Crüe is not one of my favorite bands, this film is one of my favorites because besides the fact that I laughed a lot, in a way I felt identified with all the moments that rock bands go through, of course my experience cannot be compared with the story of this band, but I did find some things in common.
