En esta historia podemos conocer a Kim Hye-jin quien es una hermosa niña, popular y de familia adinerada. También podemos conocer a Ji Sung-joon quien es un niño con un poco de sobrepeso y algo aislado. Ambos se convierten en mejores amigos y en el primer amor del otro.

Ji Sung-joon Se va al extranjero, no sin antes confesarle su amor a Kim Hye-jin. Luego de esto, la editorial de la familia de Kim Hye-jin cae en quiebra y ella poco a poco comienza a descuidar su apariencia, por lo que ya no solía poseer la misma belleza de cuando era una niña.

Luego de muchos años, Ji Sung-joon contacta por correo electrónico a Kim Hye-jin para verse de nuevo, ya que regresará a Seúl. Para entonces ya son completamente unos adultos. Ella llega antes a la cita y confunde a otro chico regordete con su amigo, se disculpa y decida llamar a Ji Sung-joon. Ella lo reconoce, pero el a ella no y la confunde también, pero con otra chica y muchísimo más hermosa que ella. Por miedo a decepcionarlo de alguna manera, ella le pide el favor a su bella mejor amiga y compañera de vivienda que se haga pasar por ella. Y para evitar que se encuentren de nuevo, le mienten a él con que ella está a punto de irse al extranjero.

In this story we get to meet Kim Hye-jin who is a beautiful girl, popular and from a wealthy family. We also get to meet Ji Sung-joon who is a slightly overweight and somewhat isolated boy. The two become best friends and each other's first love.

Ji Sung-joon goes abroad, but not before confessing his love to Kim Hye-jin. After this, Kim Hye-jin's family's publishing house goes bankrupt and she gradually begins to neglect her appearance, so that she no longer used to possess the same beauty as when she was a child.


After many years, Ji Sung-joon contacts Kim Hye-jin by email to meet again, as he will return to Seoul. By then they are fully grown up. She arrives early for the date and mistakes another chubby guy for her friend, apologizes and decides to call Ji Sung-joon. She recognizes him, but he doesn't recognize her and mistakes her too, but with another girl who is much more beautiful than her. For fear of disappointing him in some way, she asks her beautiful best friend and roommate to pose as her. And to prevent them from meeting again, they lie to him that she is about to go abroad.

Tras mucho esperar un verdadero trabajo, Kim Hye-jin finalmente consigue empleo en la editorial de una revista. Antes de siquiera poder entrar al edificio, tropieza y conoce a Kim Shin-hyuk, quien lo vería seguido más tarde. Ella se encuentra en "Apoyo a la gerencia". Una de sus tareas fue llevar una caja llena de material al Departamento de Edición, pero estando allí la confunden con una pasante. Luego de que la pasante llega, todos se dan cuenta de que Kim Hye-jin no era quien creía pero había hecho el trabajo sin tener ninguna clase de error, a pesar de que el puesto no era suyo. Por lo que los miembros del departamento solicitan que la asignen en ese puesto por tres meses. Todo esto fue repentino pero emocionante para ella. Sin embargo era la mitad de la sorpresa, ya que más tarde se entera de que Ji Sung-joon es su jefe.

After waiting a long time for a real job, Kim Hye-jin finally gets a job at a magazine publishing house. Before he can even enter the building, he stumbles upon and meets Kim Shin-hyuk, who would see him often later. She is in "Management Support." One of her tasks was to carry a box full of material to the Editorial Department, but while there she is mistaken for an intern. After the intern arrives, everyone realizes that Kim Hye-jin was not who she thought she was but she had done the job without any kind of mistake, even though the position was not hers. So the members of the department request that she be assigned to the position for three months. All this was sudden but exciting for her. However, it was only half the surprise, as she later learns that Ji Sung-joon is her boss.

El al no conocer su verdadera identidad, la empieza a tratar mal ya que a veces ella es un poco torpe. También en algunas ocasiones, le dice comentarios hirientes por su desempeño y apariencia. Ella se molesta tanto que decide no renunciar hasta que se complete el tiempo estipulado, demostrándole a su nuevo jefe que puede incluso hacer mejor que nadie su trabajo en su nuevo puesto. Todo se complica un poco más cuando Ji Sung-joon le comunica a la Jefa Editora que la editorial de la revista cerrará sus puertas en tres meses, a menos que se vuelvan a convertir en una de las mejores revistas una vez más. Otro inconveniente en la trama es que eventualmente Ji Sung-joon se encuentra con Min Ha-ri, la mejor amiga de Kim Hye-jin, por lo cual tuvo que volver a mentir y decir que regreso del extranjero por un trabajo que le ofrecieron en un hotel. Por la noche, ella aguarda a que llegue su mejor amiga, pero Kim Hye-jin llega tan enojada que no puede decirle lo que paso, así que Kim Hye-jin decide encargarse de la situación ella sola.

Aquí es donde todo se vuelve más complejo. Su compañero el fotógrafo, con quien tropezó al inicio, empieza a enamorarse de Kim Hye-jin. Por otro lado, su mejor amiga pasa algo de tiempo con Ji Sung-joon aun sin decirle la verdad y poco a poco se va enamorando de él. Sabiendo que está mal, se desahoga con Kim Shin-hyuk, el cual conoció casualmente ya que él se hospeda en el hotel donde ella trabaja, pero él no sabe que ella y Kim Hye-jin son amigas.

Not knowing her true identity, he begins to treat her badly because she is sometimes a bit clumsy. Also on some occasions, he says hurtful comments to her because of her performance and appearance. She gets so upset that she decides not to resign until the stipulated time is completed, proving to her new boss that she can even do her job better than anyone else in her new position. Everything gets a little more complicated when Ji Sung-joon informs the Editor-in-Chief that the magazine's publishing house will close its doors in three months unless they become one of the best magazines once again. Another hitch in the plot is that eventually Ji Sung-joon meets Min Ha-ri, Kim Hye-jin's best friend, for which she had to lie again and say that she came back from abroad for a job she was offered at a hotel. In the evening, she waits for her best friend to arrive, but Kim Hye-jin arrives so angry that she can't tell her what happened, so Kim Hye-jin decides to handle the situation on her own.

This is where everything becomes more complex. Her partner the photographer, who she bumped into at the beginning, starts to fall in love with Kim Hye-jin. On the other hand, her best friend spends some time with Ji Sung-joon even without telling her the truth and gradually falls in love with him. Knowing that she is in a bad way, she takes it out on Kim Shin-hyuk, whom she met by chance since he is staying at the hotel where she works, but he doesn't know that she and Kim Hye-jin are friends.

Entre amigas todo se nota tarde o temprano. Kim Hye-jin sabe que su amiga esta triste o frustrada por algo, pero Min Ha-ri le dice que lo resolverá pronto y cuando sea el momento, se lo contara todo. En dos ocasiones Kim Hye-jin antes de cruzar por el paso peatonal dice "Ya se puede cruzar", que era algo que decía desde niña. Esta frase es escuchada en esas dos ocasiones por Ji Sung-joon, así que empieza a sospechar que Kim Hye-jin puede, de alguna manera ser o parecerse a quien fue su amiga en la infancia. Tras un accidente en su trabajo, Ji Sung-joon despide a Kim Hye-jin, pero más tarde la responsable asume la culpa y Ji Sung-joon decide devolverle su trabajo. Ella acepta, sin embargo, Kim Hye-jin regresa de manera distinta, con un cambio radical de imagen, tanto que ni sus compañeros la reconocen.

Between friends, it all comes out sooner or later. Kim Hye-jin knows that her friend is sad or frustrated about something, but Min Ha-ri tells her that she will solve it soon and when the time comes, she will tell her friend everything. On two occasions Kim Hye-jin before crossing the crosswalk says "You can cross now", which was something she used to say since she was a child. This phrase is heard on those two occasions by Ji Sung-joon, so she begins to suspect that Kim Hye-jin may somehow be or resemble her childhood friend. After an accident at work, Ji Sung-joon fires Kim Hye-jin, but later the person responsible takes the blame and Ji Sung-joon decides to give her her job back. She accepts, however, Kim Hye-jin returns in a different form, with a radical change of image, so much so that even her co-workers don't recognize her.

Min Ha-ri está pasando por mucho estrés y es por esto que se desmaya, en su ayuda acude Kim Shin-hyuk, las cosas se empiezan a salir de control. Kim Hye-jin consigue una entrevista con su escritora favorita, pero en el trayecto ocurre un accidente a otro auto y su jefe al ver las noticias, cree que le ha pasado algo malo y sale corriendo en su búsqueda, dejando atrás su trauma a los días lluvioso (tras haber perdido a sus padres en un accidente de auto en un día así). Y es por lo que también, se da cuenta de que siente algo por Kim Hye-jin. Pero, el fotógrafo también se entera y sale en la búsqueda de ella, sin poder llegar por sufrir un accidente con su motocicleta. Ji Sung-joon tiene una junta en el hotel donde trabaja la mejor amiga de Kim Hye-jin, así que descubre que no es quien dice ser. El la enfrenta y ella confiesa la verdad. Luego el habla con la verdadera Kim Hye-jin y ella se lo confirma. Pero a la vez se da cuenta que su mejor amiga siente algo por su amigo de la infancia, así que opta por un comportamiento distinto para no lastimar a su mejor amiga. Ella entiende por qué mintió y quiere dejar claro que abe lo que siente, pero Min Ha-ri evita el tema y ambas terminan enojadas y un poco apartadas. Así que nuestra protagonista decide irse un tiempo a la casa de sus padres. En donde su mejor amigo de la infancia va a visitarla. Ella aprovecha para decirle que su mejor amiga siente algo por él y por lo cual prefiere alejarse un poco para no causarle algún tipo de daño. El aclara que es a ella a quien quiere y que de ser una desconocida probablemente también se hubiera enamorado de ella. Min Ha-ri renuncia a su trabajo y Kim Hye-jin piensa que ella se ira al extranjero con su madre, así que sale a buscarla al aeropuerto. Todo fue un malentendido y Min Ha-ri le dice que solo fue a despedir a su madre y que nunca se iría de ese modo sin decirle nada a ella. Ambas se disculpan y continúan con su amistad. Los dos mejores amigos de la infancia vuelven a estar juntos.

Min Ha-ri is going through a lot of stress and this is why she faints, Kim Shin-hyuk comes to her aid, things start to get out of control. Kim Hye-jin gets an interview with her favorite writer, but on the way there is an accident to another car and her boss, seeing the news, thinks that something bad has happened to her and rushes off in search of her, leaving behind her rainy day trauma (having lost her parents in a car accident on such a day). And that's why he also, realizes that he has feelings for Kim Hye-jin. But, the photographer also finds out and sets out in search of her, unable to get there because he gets into an accident with his motorcycle. Ji Sung-joon has a meeting at the hotel where Kim Hye-jin's best friend works, so he finds out that she is not who she says she is. He confronts her and she confesses the truth. Then he talks to the real Kim Hye-jin and she confirms it. But at the same time she realizes that her best friend has feelings for her childhood friend, so she opts for a different behavior so as not to hurt her best friend. She understands why she lied and wants to make it clear that she knows how she feels, but Min Ha-ri avoids the topic and they both end up angry and a bit estranged. So our protagonist decides to go to her parents' house for a while. There, her childhood best friend comes to visit her. She takes the opportunity to tell him that her best friend has feelings for him and that's why she prefers to stay away from him so as not to cause him any kind of harm. He makes it clear that it is her he loves and that if she were a stranger he probably would have fallen in love with her too. Min Ha-ri quits her job and Kim Hye-jin thinks that she is going abroad with her mother, so he goes to the airport to pick her up. It was all a misunderstanding and Min Ha-ri tells him that she just went to see her mother off and that she would never leave like that without saying anything to her. They both apologize and continue their friendship. The two childhood best friends get back together.

La editorial aun podría enfrentar el cierre y solo necesitarían una noticia realmente muy importante y exclusiva para poder aumentar las ventas, evitando el cierre de la editorial. Así que consiguen una entrevista con un importante director de cine, pero antes de realizarla, este les cancela. El plan B consiste en conseguir la entrevista con un escritor anónimo muy famoso que se hace llamar "TEN" (del cual nuestra protagonista ha leído varios libros y lo admira mucho). Pero nadie consigue manera de contactarlo para solicitarle la entrevista. Así que faltando poco para declarar el cierre de la editorial, aparece una grandiosa sorpresa. "TEN" acepta hacer la entrevista y revelar su identidad por decisión propia. ¿Adivinan quién podría ser?

The publishing house could still face closure and they would only need a really very important and exclusive news to be able to increase sales, avoiding the closing of the publishing house. So they get an interview with an important film director, but before they can do it, he cancels. Plan B is to get an interview with a very famous anonymous writer who calls himself "TEN" (of whom our protagonist has read several books and admires him a lot). But no one can find a way to contact him to request the interview. So, just a few days before the closing of the publishing house, a great surprise appears. "TEN" agrees to do the interview and reveal his identity by his own choice. Can you guess who it could be?

Tras este hecho exclusivo, las ventas aumentan y la editorial se salva. Kim Hye-jin concluye con su tiempo en el departamento y regresa al Departamento de Apoyo a la Gerencia. Nuestro fotógrafo favorito debe irse a Europa, pero se despide por última vez de la torpe chica que le robó el corazón. A Kim Hye-jin le ofrecen la oportunidad de trabajar como escritora en cuentos infantiles, el cual era su sueño desde que era niña. Ella y su antiguo jefe iban a viajar juntos a América por un año, pero él le recomienda que cumpla su sueño de escritora mientras él viaja por un tiempo. Culminado el año en donde ella se convierte en escritora y el termina sus asuntos en Estados Unidos, el regresa y le propone matrimonio a ella. Su mejor amiga le regala una corona y un ramo de flores para su boda que ella misma elaboró, ya que tenía la ilusión de hacer especialmente para ella. En la editorial, el jefe entrega a su equipo de trabajo las invitaciones para su boda y es donde todos se sorprenden porque efectivamente nadie sabía nada de lo que estaba pasando entre ellos dos. El final esperado es llevado a cabo con una pequeña sorpresa adicional. ¿Imaginan cual podría ser?

Kim Hye-jin ends her time in the department and returns to the Management Support Department. Our favorite photographer has to leave for Europe, but he says goodbye for the last time to the awkward girl who stole his heart. Kim Hye-jin is offered an opportunity to work as a children's story writer, which was her dream since she was a child. She and her former boss were going to travel to America together for a year, but he recommends her to fulfill her dream as a writer while he travels for a while. At the end of the year where she becomes a writer and he finishes his business in America, he returns and proposes to her. Her best friend gives her a wreath and a bouquet of flowers for her wedding that she made herself, as she had the illusion of making it especially for her. At the publishing house, the boss delivers the invitations for their wedding to his work team, and it is here that everyone is surprised because no one really knew anything about what was going on between the two of them. The expected ending is carried out with a little extra surprise. Can you imagine what it could be?

Ultima nota: Para ser sincera... Me hubiera gustado que nuestra protagonista y el fotografo/secreto escritor hubieran quedado juntos al final. ¿Por qué? Pues porque él se enamoró de su torpeza y apariencia descuidada, se enamoró de ella antes de que tuviera ese cambio de imagen. Ella entró en su corazón sin hacer ningún tipo de esfuerzo y el se preocupaba mucho por ella sin esperar nada a cambio. Él era el chico correcto. Pero bueno... la trama y todo eso, lo entiendo. Ni modo.

Last note: To be honest... I would have liked our protagonist and the photographer/secret writer to have stayed together at the end. Why? Well because he fell in love with her clumsiness and sloppy appearance, he fell in love with her before she had that makeover. She came into his heart without making any kind of effort and he cared a lot about her without expecting anything in return. He was the right guy. But hey...plot and all, I get it. No way.
