A pesar de tener unos días un poco desordenados y estresantes, quise dejar ese rato para distraerme y poder ver una película que llamó mi atención, y de la que tenía una idea diferente a la que desarrollaron, les hablo de:

🍿 Sinopsis
| El hospital geriátrico Bethlehem o también llamado “el beth”, se enfrenta al hecho de tener que cerrar debido a los recortes de financiación. Y en aras de salvar el lugar un equipo de filmación local decide hacer un documental sobre todo lo que ocurre detrás de las puertas de este hospital y sus trabajadores, para crear conciencia y hacer cambiar de opinión a los ejecutivos. | The Bethlehem geriatric hospital, also known as "the beth", is facing the fact of having to close due to funding cuts. And in the interest of saving the place a local film crew decides to make a documentary about everything that goes on behind the doors of this hospital and its workers, to raise awareness and change the minds of the executives. |

🍿 Desarrollo | Development
| En primera instancia conocemos al Dr. Valentine, un hombre apasionado por su trabajo y que afirma simpatizar con las personas mayores, luego conocemos a Alma, la enfermera y encargada del hospital, una mujer dedicada a su trabajo y que trata de hacer lo mejor posible con los poco recursos que tiene. Y, también se nos muestran a los pocos trabajadores que conforman la unidad y a algunos de sus residentes. | We first meet Dr. Valentine, a man who is passionate about his work and who claims to sympathize with the elderly, then we meet Alma, the nurse and hospital manager, a woman dedicated to her work and who tries to do the best she can with the few resources she has. And, we are also shown the few workers who make up the unit and some of its residents. |

| Entre los residentes destacan Mary, una bibliotecaria muy tímida que no quiere participar en la filmación, y por eso Valentine le da un iPad para que grabé lo que ella quiere. Molly, una mujer con incontinencia de la que se encarga Alma que al día siguiente es encontrada inconsciente en su cama. Y Joe, un hombre que empieza a sufrir de incontinencia y cuyo hijo va a visitarlo antes de irse a Londres nuevamente. | The residents include Mary, a very shy librarian who does not want to participate in the filming, so Valentine gives her an iPad to record what she wants. Molly, an incontinent woman taken care of by Alma who is found unconscious in her bed the next day. 🎬 Opiniones | Opinions
| Cabe destacar que por la manera en la que se empezó a desarrollar esta historia no imaginaba ese final, y no porque fuera algo de otro mundo, sino porque el hilo de sucesos no indicadaba eso. Creo que su principal problema es que fue un poco floja, tenían un buen argumento con el cuál trabajar, pero juntaron todas las historias y el final se desvió un poco. Aunque, tiene sus momentos y logras empatizar con algunos personajes. | It should be noted that the way this story began to develop I did not imagine that ending, and not because it was something out of this world, but because the thread of events did not indicate that. I think its main problem is that it was a bit weak, they had a good plot to work with, but they put all the stories together and the ending was a bit off. Although, it has its moments and you get to empathize with some of the characters. |

| Dejando de lado ese problema, a mi me gustó, es una película rápida y bastante ligera, tiene buen ritmo y las interpretaciones estuvieron muy bien. Admito que quería ver más de Judi Dench pero será para otra producción 😌. La historia de Alma me sorprendió bastante, no pensé que después de todo su desarrollo terminaría en esa situación, y es que algo que me gustó (ya que estoy hablando de este personaje), es la importancia de que todo lo que hagas sea con amor o por lo menos bien, es decir, todo estaban presionados porque no es para nada fácil trabajar en el área de la salud. | That problem aside, I liked it, it's a fast and fairly light movie, it has good pacing and the performances were very good. I admit I wanted to see more of Judi Dench but it will be for another production 😌. Alma's story surprised me quite a bit, I didn't think that after all her development she would end up in that situation, and is that something I liked (since I'm talking about this character), is the importance that everything you do is with love or at least well, that is, all were pressured because it's not at all easy to work in the health area. |

| Pero, todos trataban de dar su mejor esfuerzo y de paso tenían algo que a muchos profesionales les falta hoy en día y es Empatía, Alma no entendía como aquellos que decían amar a sus familiares simplemente los dejaban allí tirados y se olvidaban de ellos, pero no utilizan eso como una excusa para tratarlos mal y aprovecharse. Creo que el mensaje principal que buscaron transmitir es una crítica hacia el sistema de la salud y los recortes sanitarios, y mostrar una sociedad desinteresada en los cuidados de este tipo. | But, they all tried to give their best effort and by the way they had something that many professionals lack nowadays and that is Empathy, Alma did not understand how those who claimed to love their relatives just left them lying there and forgot about them, but do not use that as an excuse to treat them badly and take advantage of them. I think the main message they sought to convey is a criticism of the healthcare system and healthcare cutbacks, and to show a society that is disinterested in care of this kind. |
