Película de origen italiano producida por Dino De Laurentiis y Carlo Ponti, con el encargado en dirección del gran Federico Fellini, director de muchas otras obras como Otto e mezzo, La Dolce Vita y Le notti di Cabiria, de la mano con la ayuda de Anthony Quinn y Giulietta Masina, esposa de Fellini, como principales actores del filme. Y finalmente estrenada en el año 1954.

La strada, que en italiano quiere decir "la calle", es una película italiana dirigida por Federico Fellini, estrenada en el año 1954. El filme, que es el primero en la historia en ganar el premio Oscar a la mejor película internacional, nos presenta a Zampanó, un artista ambulante que enviuda, y compra a Gelsomina, la hermana de su esposa muerta, Rosa, sin que la mamá de la chica oponga la menor resistencia, pese al carácter agresivo de Zampanó, la muchacha se siente atraída por la vida nómada, siempre en la calle (la strada), en especial cuando su dueño la incluye en su espectáculo, a lo largo de la historia Gelsomina conoce a varios personas que le proponen que se una a ellos, pero ella se mantendrá fiel a Zampanó hasta las últimas consecuencias.
La strada, which in Italian means 'the street', is an Italian film directed by Federico Fellini, released in the year 1954. The film, which is the first in history to win the Oscar for Best International Film, introduces us to Zampanó, a street artist who is widowed, and buys Gelsomina, the sister of his dead wife, Rosa, without the girl's mother putting up the slightest resistance, despite Zampanó's aggressive character, the girl is attracted by the nomadic life, always on the street (la strada), especially when her owner includes her in his show, throughout the story Gelsomina meets several people who propose her to join them, but she will remain faithful to Zampanó until the last consequences.

El estilo inconfundible de Fellini, junto a unas maravillosas actuaciones por parte de sus protagonistas, una historia cargada de sentimentalismo, pero también con momentos cómicos y personajes memorables, hacen de esta película, una joya indiscutible del cine, y en lo personal una de las más hermosas obras cinematográficas que jamás haya visto, con un final que me dejó, y creo que no solo a mí, con cierta sensación de tristeza.
The unmistakable style of Fellini, along with wonderful performances by its protagonists, a story full of sentimentality, but also with comic moments and memorable characters, make this film, an indisputable jewel of cinema, and personally one of the most beautiful cinematographic works I've ever seen, with an ending that left me, and I think not only me, with a certain sense of sadness.
