"It feels like I'm splitting my brain in half as I write these two scripts. But I finished one of them last week," Joon Ho said on The Director's Cut podcast.

The director did not specify plot details, but noted that one picture will be shot in Seoul in Korean and the other in the UK and the US in English. The genre of the films is difficult to determine, but the Korean will have elements from horror and action films, while the English will be closer to a dramatic story.

Earlier it became known about the development of a series based on "Parasite" for the HBO channel. One of the main roles in it could be played by Mark Ruffalo.

Original film won the Oscars for Best Film and Best Foreign Language Film all at once, and also took Best Screenplay and Best Director prizes. At the Cannes Film Festival "Parasites" won the Palme d'Or, and at the Screenwriters Guild of America Awards - the grand prize for the best original screenplay.
