[ESP | ENG] Doblaje de voz… a veces no entiendo algunas cosas | Voice actors... sometimes I don't understand some things

Good morning beautiful people, today I want to talk to you about a discomfort I have, a complaint really, but I do it so that also if you know cases like the one I will name talk to you :D.

I want to clarify first of all that the Latin dubbing has been one of the most fun, entertaining and effective I've ever known, because although you may think I'm saying this because I'm a Latina, I have also consumed content in its original language and with other dubbing (from Spain for example) and really nothing like the Latin. I clarify this so that it is known that my complaint is more to reflect and for those who work in this world so great, answer me because these things happen or what happens :D.

Another thing I want to clarify is that what I will talk about includes ONLY dubbing that is to TRANSLATE what the original script said :D I think I've clarified everything. Friends, have you seen "reallity" type programs, where you listen to what the dubber says, and you have time to read the lips of the original voice, and you know that it was not what the person originally said, it has happened to me MANY TIMES, and that is my complaint and doubt.

Not long ago I made a post about a series called Dance Moms (if you want to read it click on the heart :D 💚) and one of the things that bothered me the most about the series, is that many people misunderstood the situation of what is going on, with time I discovered that it was a misunderstanding because the original audio was not at all similar to what the voice dubbers said, a simple example, in English: Calm down Maddie don't cry, Melisa help me calm her down, the dubbing: Maddie stop crying, Melisa tell her to stop crying.

Do you see the difference? The context changes a lot, one of the environments is calm without drama, the other is toxic and with more drama, analyzing it I can think that they made that decision to follow the drama theme of the series, but it is still very different. I took a voice dubbing course, and I saw this live only once, I had to dub a scene from a movie that I JUST KNEW I SAID IN ITS ORIGINAL LANGUAGE, and they changed the context a little bit... it really disturbed me and I always had doubts.

I know that adding that "cultural touch" of the country that is dubbing is funnier and one identifies more with the series, but changing the context completely is something else and gives misunderstandings, it can even make you see the series wrong.

I admire the voice actors too much, they do an incredible job and have a very hard work, and I will always applaud them when they leave me speechless with their talent.

That would be all for today :D I hope you have a nice day.
