"Gifted" is now one of my absolute favorite movies, all thanks to my friend's recommendation.
It's such a touching story about this super smart little girl named Mary who lives with her uncle Frank. Mary's math skills are off the charts, and that's where the drama kicks in.
Chris Evans, who we usually see as Captain America, plays Frank, and he's so good in this role. He and McKenna Grace, who plays Mary, have this amazing bond on screen that just pulls you right into their world and steal your heart. You can't help but root for them as they navigate through some tough decisions about Mary's future.
The movie isn't just about being smart though—it's about family and figuring out what's best for the people you love. There are funny moments mixed in with all the emotions, which keeps it real and relatable.
I loved how "Gifted" keeps you guessing and feeling invested in the characters' lives. It's not your typical tear-jerker—it's more like a rollercoaster of emotions that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy by the end. Not going to disclose more.
