Saludos a todos gente linda amantes del cine, el día de ayer tuve la oportunidad de volver a ver una película que me encantó cuando era niña, recuerdo que en el colegio las niñas soñábamos con ser como Baby, bailar como ella, y por su puesto tener un enamorado así de apuesto como Johnny ❤️.
En 1987 se estrenó la película Dirty Dancing (Baile Caliente), este clásico fue dirigido por Emile Ardolino y protago nizado por los estadounidenses Patrick Swayze y Jennifer Grey, obteniendo un enorme éxito de taquilla y convirtiéndose a la larga en una de las películas más icónicas de la década de los 80, la trama se desenvuelve en un lugar para vacacionar en la montañas que sirve de escenario para una historia de amor entre una joven y un bailarín.
Baby, es una chica que se siente algo decepcionada cuando debe pasar una temporada de verano con sus padres en un tranquilo resort en Catskills, pero todo cambia cuando el instructor de baile del resort Johnny se queda sin compañera de baile, y la elige como su nueva pareja y es allí cuando los dos se enamoran 💞. El padre de Baby le prohíbe ver a Johnny, pero ella está decidida a ayudarlo a hacer el último baile del verano. Esta historia de amor marcó profundamente a toda una generación, además este film contó con una de las más recordadas y mejores bandas sonoras de la historia una de sus grandes canciones fue la balada she is like the wind (ella es como el viento) escrita e interpretada por la propia estrella del film Patrick Swayze, desde muy joven este actor nacido en Texas, mostró su pasión por las artes y además del cine, estudió baile en las mejores academias de Estados Unidos, destacándose por sus grandes habilidades.
La película fue un éxito en 1987 y aunque su realización contó con un presupuesto de menos de cinco millones de dólares, recaudó más de doscientos quince millones, una suma realmente asombrosa. Un detalle interesante de este clásico es que en realidad los actores principales Patick y Jennifer, tuvieron una relación bastante complicada, en 1984 ambos actores trabajaron en la película amanecer rojo y en ese entonces no se habían llevado nada bien, pero al ser convocados ambos para Dirty Dancing, tuvieron una conversación amigable y limaron sus diferencias, por lo que las pruebas de cámara salieron muy bien y se notaba que tenían muy buena química y se reían mucho, razón por la que ambos fueron elegidos, sin embargo a medida que avanzaba la filmación volvieron a tener diferencias bastante fuertes y la filmación se puso tensa, en su biografía Swayze escribió que le resultaba extremadamente irritante el trabajo con Grey, que ella se negaba a ensayar las escenas si había que repetirlas y que además, cuando la criticaban, se ponía a llorar en el set, para solucionar esto los productores tuvieron una reunión con ellos y los obligaron a ver varias veces las pruebas de cámara iníciales donde tenían buena química y esta reunión tuvo el efecto deseado y la relación entre ambos actores mejoró pudiendo llegar la filmación a buen término.
Actualmente, a más de treinta y cinco años del clásico ganador de un Oscar, comenzarán a rodar Dirty Dancing 2, también será protagonizada por Jennifer Grey, pero lamentablemente el protagonista masculino será otro actor ya que Swayze falleció en 2009, víctima de un cáncer de páncreas.

Baby is a girl who is somewhat disappointed when she must spend a summer season with her parents at a quiet resort in the Catskills, but everything changes when the resort's dance instructor Johnny is left without a dance partner, and he chooses her as his new partner and that's when the two fall in love 💞. Baby's father forbids her to see Johnny, but she is determined to help him do the last dance of the summer. This love story deeply marked a whole generation, also this film had one of the most remembered and best soundtracks in history, one of its great songs was the ballad she is like the wind, written and performed by the star of the film Patrick Swayze, from a very young age this actor born in Texas, showed his passion for the arts and besides cinema, he studied dance in the best academies in the United States, standing out for his great skills.
The film was a success in 1987 and although it was made with a budget of less than five million dollars, it grossed more than two hundred and fifteen million, a truly amazing sum. An interesting detail of this classic is that actually the main actors Patick and Jennifer, had a rather complicated relationship, in 1984 both actors worked in the movie red dawn and at that time had not gotten along well, but when both were called for Dirty Dancing, they had a friendly conversation and ironed out their differences, so the camera tests went very well and it was noted that they had very good chemistry and laughed a lot, which is why both were chosen, However, as the filming progressed they again had quite strong differences and the filming became tense, in his biography Swayze wrote that he found working with Grey extremely irritating, that she refused to rehearse the scenes if they had to be repeated and that also, when she was criticized, she started to cry on the set of the film, to solve this the producers had a meeting with them and forced them to see several times the initial camera tests where they had good chemistry and this meeting had the desired effect and the relationship between the two actors improved and the filming was able to reach a successful conclusion.
Currently, more than thirty-five years after the Oscar-winning classic, they will begin filming Dirty Dancing 2, which will also star Jennifer Grey, but unfortunately the male lead will be another actor since Swayze passed away in 2009, victim of pancreatic cancer.
