Hola amigos y bienvenidos a mi último post de este año 2021 dedicado al concurso de navidad de esta increíble comunidad. Me pareció ideal terminar este año con una publicación totalmente navideña, así que hablaré de esta película que he visto varias veces durante varios años y que me parece que deja un mensaje muy bonito que deberíamos tener presente en todo momento. Esta película se llama “Un sueño de navidad” es del 2016 y protagonizada por Nikki DeLoach y Andrew Walker, tiene una duración de 1 hora 24 minutos y fue producida por The Hallmark Channel.

Esta película se trata de Penny (Nikki DeLoach) ella es una publicista con muchos deseos de ser importante en su trabajo, esta casada con Stuart (Andrew Walker) un fotógrafo el cual su único sueño es hacer un libro con fotografías de la vida salvaje, Penny lo ama y por está misma razón lo apoya en su trabajo así este no pague las cuentas, para eso ella tiene un buen trabajo y espera que la ascienda próximamente, aunque lo apoya en todo momento se siente muy sola mientras el viaja por el mundo tomando fotografías para su libro y para no sentirse de esta manera Penny vive con su hermana, cuñado y sobrinos. Días antes de navidad Stuart llega de viaje y se preparan para las celebraciones de la época.

Mientras hace la fila con su hermana Nicky y sus sobrinos para pedir deseos a Santa en el centro comercial, Penny tiene una conversación con Nicky sobre cosas que pasan por su mente, como que sería de su vida si hubiera tomado otras decisiones? sería más feliz? Sería más exitosa en su profesión? Algo que a su hermana no le preocupa ya que es feliz con su esposo e hijos. Cuando recibe la llamada de Stuart para informarle que tiene que viajar nuevamente, Penny se desilusionada y desea en voz alta no haberse casado con Stuart, lo que ella no sabe es que detrás hay un ángel de la navidad que le concederá el deseo.

Al despertar Penny se da cuenta que su vida a cambiado, esta sola en su casa, con una decoración diferente, con un auto lujoso y al llegar a su trabajo tiene oficina nueva y una asistente. Ella no sabe que ha pasado pero al tratar de llamar a su esposo no puede contactarlo y al hablar con su hermana se entera que no es casada y su hermana tampoco. Que ha pasado con sus vida? Poco a poco se acostumbrará a su nueva vida, de todas formas fue lo que deseo, debe disfrutarlo, pero a medida que pasa el tiempo siente que le falta algo, ahora esta más sola que nunca y no hace otra cosa que pensar en su vida anterior, valiéndose de una excusa de trabajo busca a Stuart, él no la conoce pero apenas se ven, tienen una conexión que se acrecienta mientras trabajan juntos, cuando cree que puede recuperar a su esposo y volver a ser feliz, se entera que esta comprometido, algo que le rompe el corazón, sabe que es su culpa, porque no supo valorar lo que tenía y como consecuencia de su deseo la vida de sus seres queridos también habían sido afectada por que ya su hermana no era feliz, ni Stuart seguía su pasión de fotografiar la vida salvaje.

Hay dos dichos que se me vienen a la mente con esta película, el primero es “No sabía lo que tenía hasta que lo perdió” y el segundo “Era feliz y no lo sabía” son dichos muy comunes y que vienen como anillo al dedo para esta producción. Me gusta mucho esta película porque en muchos momentos no nos sentimos conformes con lo que tenemos, pensamos que si no hubiéramos tomado ciertas decisiones seríamos más felices, exitosos y millonarios. Pero es algo que no sabremos, cuando tomamos un decisión estamos renunciando a las otras opciones, debemos ser felices con lo que tenemos y con las personas que nos rodean, al fin y al cabo son las personas que hemos escogido para que sean nuestros compañeros, debemos atesorar y disfrutar todos los momentos que pasemos con nuestra familia no sabemos cuanto tiempo nos queda. Penny entendió el mensaje, ojalá que todo aquel que vea esta película también lo haga, no es ser conformistas, es agradecer las bondades de la vida y reconocer a las personas y los momentos que nos llenan de felicidad.
There are two sayings that come to mind with this movie, the first is “I didn't know what I had until I lost it” and the second “I was happy and I didn't know it” are very common sayings and they come like a glove. for this production. I really like this movie because in many moments we do not feel satisfied with what we have, we think that if we had not made certain decisions we would be happier, more successful and millionaires. But it is something that we will not know, when we make a decision we are giving up the other options, we must be happy with what we have and with the people around us, at the end of the day they are the people we have chosen to be our companions, We must treasure and enjoy all the moments we spend with our family. We do not know how much time we have left. Penny got the message, I hope that everyone who sees this movie does too, it is not being conformists, it is to be thankful for the benefits of life and to recognize the people and the moments that fill us with happiness.
