Hello everyone, welcome to my post where here I will be talking very passionately about one of my favorite movie villains, which is the Joker, more specifically talking about the 2019 movie directed and produced by Todd Philips, in addition to co-writing the screenplay with Scott Silver, whose movie is based on the DC Comics Batman universe, where here we see the incredible performance of Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker which you would never feel identified with, it would give you discomfort and contempt to see this character in this movie, also I make a spoiler alert because I will be talking about critical aspects of the movie. this is an entry to the OCD Community Boost Contest, which takes place this time in the Movies & TV Shows community, where I have posted several reviews that have been well received.
Hola a todos, bienvenidos a mi publicación en la cual estaré hablando muy apasionadamente de uno de mis villanos favoritos de las películas, el cual es el Joker, más específicamente hablando de la película del 2019 dirigida y producida por Todd Philips, además de escribir el guion conjunto con Scott Silver, cuya película está basada en el universo de Batman de DC Comics, donde acá vemos la increíble actuación de Joaquin Phoenix como el Joker del cual nunca te sentirías identificado, te daría incomodidad y desprecio ver este personaje en esta película, además hago una alerta de spoilers porque estaré hablando de aspectos críticos de la película. I can't choose which one is better Joaquin Phoenix's Joker or Heath Ledger's Joker (For me the others are nonexistent, sorry haha), Each are a different type of Joker, set to different goals, Heath's Joker is more anarchist and is very aware of his actions, he is very planful and intelligent, even at times surpassing Batman's intelligence, which is a very incredible thing to witness, those moments left us stunned with the dark knight, plus an overly psychotic performance from this character, but as I guess a lot has already been said about him and you have already seen so much content already on the internet from him, today I will focus on Phoenix's Joker.
No puedo elegir cuál es mejor el Joker de Joaquín Phoenix o el Joker de Heath Ledger (Para mi los otros son inexistentes, lo siento jaja), Cada uno son un tipo diferente de Joker, ambientado a diferentes objetivos, el Joker de Heath es más anarquista y está muy consciente de sus actos, es muy planeador e inteligente, incluso en ocasiones sobrepasan la inteligencia de Batman, que es algo muy increíble de presenciar, esos momentos nos dejaron atónitos con el caballero de la noche, además de una actuación demasiado psicótica de este personaje, pero como supongo que ya se ha hablado mucho de él y ya han visto tanto contenido ya en internet de él, hoy me enfocare en el Joker de Phoenix
Phoenix's Joker is absolutely the representation of a person who is sick in the head, you feel very sorry for him, the things that happen, everything is decadent in his story, even makes you feel empathy for him, wanting to cross the big screen for wanting to give him a hug, a very misunderstood person in a current world where a large number of people feel no remorse towards people with mental problems.
El Joker de Phoenix es absolutamente la representación de una persona que está mal de la cabeza, da mucha pena por él, las cosas que pasan, todo es decadente en su historia, incluso te hace sentir empatía por él, querer traspasar la gran pantalla por querer darle un abrazo, una persona muy incomprendida en un mundo actual dónde un gran número de personas no siente remordimiento hacia personas con problemas mentales
There was a big problem with Heath's Joker, people watching the movie wanted to be like him, not Batman!!, why? It's simple, he looked the part, this Joker was very smart as I said, he was very planful, he had a few little dark comedy shows between the lines he said at peak moments in the movie, he totally overshadowed Batman for the entire movie, isn't it obvious that people wanted to be like him, but is it the same with Phoenix's Joker?
Hubo un gran problema con el Joker de Heath, ¡Las personas que veían la película querían ser como él, no como Batman!, ¿Porque? Es simple, se lucía, este Joker era muy inteligente como dije, muy planeador, tenía unos pequeños shows de comedia oscura entre las líneas que decía en momentos cumbres de la película, opaco totalmente a Batman durante toda la película, no es obvio que la gente quería ser como él, pero ¿pasa con lo mismo con el Joker de Phoenix?

Hahaha no, absolutely not, that's why I said at the beginning, I can't say which of the two is better, both won an Oscar even, both are set to personification is very different from each other, and one of the key factors of Phoenix's is that there are no heroes there, it's a movie focused on the role of the villain as the protagonist, a protagonist so fucked in the head in which you would never feel identified, at the beginning you feel sorry for him, and at the end you feel disgust and contempt for him.
Jajaja no, absolutamente que no, por eso dije al principio, no puedo decir quién de los dos es mejor, los dos ganaron un Oscar incluso, los dos están ambientados a personificación es muy diferentes entre sí, y uno de los factores clave del de Phoenix es que no hay héroes allí, es una película centrada en el papel de el villano como protagonista, un protagonista tan jodido de la cabeza en el cual nunca te sentirías identificado, al inicio te da pena por él, y al final sientes asco y desprecio por él.

It is 1981 and Arthur Fleck is a party clown and aspiring stand up comedian, he lives alone with his mother in Gotham City, this city so well known in the world of comics where the Batman universe takes place, although in this movie we do not see Batman, only him being very small, continuing with the city, it is plagued by crime and unemployment, where there are many sectors oppressed by poverty. Arthur suffers from a psychological disorder where he laughs uncontrollably when something sad or bad happens to him, he depends on medicines provided by public services.
Es 1981 y Arthur Fleck es un payaso de fiesta y aspirante a ser un comediante de Stand up, vive solo con su madre en la Ciudad Gotica, esta ciudad tan conocida en el mundo de los comics donde ocurre el universo de Batman, aunque en esta película no vemos a Batman, solo el siendo de muy pequeño, continuando con la ciudad, está plagada de crímenes y desempleo, donde hay muchos sectores oprimidos por la pobreza. Arthur sufre un trastorno psicológico en donde se rie descontroladamente cuando le ocurre algo triste o malo, depende de medicinas que le proporcionan servicios públicos.
Throughout the film he is shown as a total loser, he has a job where he is fired because some kids have robbed him and beaten him up, his career as a comedian is a joke because what he laughs and makes fun are the tragedies, he is too skinny, he is very insecure, he is someone with whom you would never feel identified, the guy is too bad in every way, and if that were not enough a co-worker gives him a gun to defend himself, and here occurs one of the worst decisions of the film.
En toda la película es mostrado como un total perdedor, tiene un trabajo donde lo echan porque unos niños lo han robado y caído a golpes, su carrera de comediante es un chiste ya que de lo que se ríe y causa gracia son las tragedias, está demasiado flaco, es muy inseguro, es alguien con la cual nunca te sentirías identificado, el tipo está demasiado mal en todos los sentidos, y por si fuera poco un compañero de trabajo le regala un arma para que se defienda, y aquí ocurre una de las peores decisiones de la película.
On a train ride some guys who are seen to be from a wealthy family, insult him and fall to blows for laughing that they are mistreating a girl, in these Arthur pulls out his gun and shoots them, killing some of them and then leaves the place, starting a witch hunt in the city against the clowns.
En un viaje de un tren unos chicos que se ve que son de familia adinerada, lo insultan y caen a golpes por reírse de que ellos estén maltratando a una chica, en estas Arthur saca su arma y les dispara, matándolos unos a unos y luego se va de ese lugar, dando inicio a una cacería de brujas en la ciudad en contra de los payasos.
While he is at home he discovers a letter in which it seems that his father is Mr. Thomas Wayne, father of Bruce Wayne, the popular Batman, but then incredulously confronts him and tells him that his mother is crazy and he is adopted, after that he goes to the psychiatric hospital and discovers the truth, he was abused by his adoptive father together with his mother.
En esas es despedido como payaso por sacar su arma en un evento de niños, y mientras esta en su casa descubre una carta en donde pareciera que su padre es el señor Thomas Wayne padre de Bruce Wayne, el popular Batman, pero luego incrédulo lo confronta y le dice que su madre esta loca y el es adoptado, luego de eso va hacia el hospital psiquiátrico y descubre la verdad, fue abusado por su padre adoptivo conjunto con su madre.
This character goes through many misfortunes throughout the film, even having delusions similar to a person with schizophrenia, where he imagines interactions with other people as it is with a girl in his building, where scenes are presented too uncomfortable that make you say "Oh my God Arthur do not do that, you're unhinged", and indeed he is.
Este personaje pasa por muchas desgracias en toda la película, incluso teniendo delirios parecidos a una persona con esquizofrenia, donde imagina interacciones con otras personas como lo es con una chica de su edificio, donde se presentan escenas demasiado incomodas que te hacen decir “Por dios Arthur no hagas eso, estas desquiciado”, y de hecho lo está.
One of his big dreams is to participate in Murray's TV Show which is a celebrity talk show, which he is invited there to make fun of him for doing comedy shows that are too bad. Before the program is broadcast he asks to be presented as Joker, as a reference to the mockery he received, Arthur was determined to change his image and make himself look elegant and funny but seeing how they were still making fun of him he decided to make jokes too dark and morbid, the kind he likes to laugh at tragedies and horrible things, He also confesses that he was the murderer of the train and complains about how society abandons the oppressed and mentally ill, after this Arthur shoots Murray in the head when he makes him see that it is all wrong what he has done, I bet the first time you saw this movie you did not expect this fast and changing move, too shocking and raw.
Uno de sus grandes sueños es participar en el Show televisivo de Murray que es un programa de entrevistas a famosos, el cual es invitado allí para burlarse de el por hacer shows de comedia demasiado malos. Antes de que el programa se transmita el pide que lo presenten como Joker, como referencia a las burlas que recibió, Arthur estaba decidido a cambiar su imagen y hacerse ver elegante y divertido pero al ver como aun se seguían burlando de el decidió hacer chistes demasiado oscuros y morbosos, de los que les gusta a el que son reírse de las tragedias y cosas horribles, además de confesar que fue el asesino del tren y se queja de como la sociedad abandona a los oprimidos y enfermos mentales, luego de esto Arthur le dispara en la cabeza a Murray cuando lo hace ver que esta todo mal lo que ha hecho, apuesto a que la primera vez que viste esta película no te esperabas esta movida tan rápida y cambiante, demasiado impactante y cruda.
After this we see how he is taken in the patrol car in handcuffs, I particularly love this scene too much, it is a nod to Heath Ledger's famous patrol car scene as Joker in the Batman: The Dark Knight Rises movie, and we see how everyone is staging a revolution because of his murders and his words on TV, the revolution of the oppressed, of the poor and mentally ill, probably adding criminals, from which they save him from the car and present him as a god.
Luego de esto vemos como es llevado en la patrulla esposado, en particular amo demasiado esta escena, es un guiño a la famosa escena del coche de patrulla de Heath Ledger como Joker en la película de Batman: El Caballero de la Noche Asciende, y vemos como todo el mundo está armando una revolución a causa de sus asesinatos y sus palabras por televisión, la revolución de los oprimidos, de los pobres y enfermos mentales, probablemente añadiendo criminales, de la cual lo salvan del coche y lo presentan como un dios.
One of the objectives of the director was to make Arthur look like a villain so bad, so fucked up in the head, a completely crazy person, of which you would never ever identify with, nor would it ever cross your mind, a real villain, of which you see very little these days.
Uno de los objetivos de el director era hacer ver a Arthur como un villano tan malo, tan jodido de la cabeza, una persona completamente loca, de la cual nunca de los jamases te sentirías identificado, ni se te pasaría por la cabeza, un verdadero villano, de los cuales se ve muy poco estos días.
It certainly puts you in the shoes of those oppressed people with serious mental problems, but in a very chaotic way.
Sin dudas te pone en los zapatos de esas personas oprimidas y con problemas mentales graves, pero una manera muy caotica.
