Hola Hive!

Esta es mi favorita, como sucede en "Clueless", "Too all the boys I've loved Before" y "She's all that", nuestro protagonista entra a conocer a su amor por motivos bastante alejados al afecto y terminan juntos.

The fault in our stars

Hello Hive! How are you? Today I come with a question that came up a while ago in conversation with some friends, what makes a good love movie? Throughout our lives, most people see many love movies, either dramatic, comic and even some quite funny but what is it that really makes you say this is an excellent love movie? Well, this is something that we will analyse in this post.

I think the first thing to do is to analyse some constants in these films:

Let's start!!!

The enmity of the main characters?

This is a classic, it's the typical "opposites attract" that we can send movies like "10 things i hate about you", "Pride and Prejudice" and even "Romeo and Juliet". These kinds of relationships bring a lot of emotion to romantic movies, it is very interesting to see how the protagonists come into conflict when they see that they are feeling things for that person.

Friendship of the main characters.

There's nothing better than seeing the couple that you've been shiping the whole movie together like in the case of "Emma" or in the "Before" trilogy, it's comforting and makes us feel good.

Great acts of love.
We also have films where one of the protagonists performs some great act to win the love of their loved one as in Enchanted or Leap Year.

Love that comes from the unexpected

This is my favourite, as in Clueless, Too all the boys I've loved Before and She's all that, our protagonist gets to know his love for reasons far removed from affection and they end up together.

The protagonists don't end up together

This is the most acidic of the options, but it turns out to be the most realistic, some love stories, although people love each other, do not result in a "together forever", this is the case of La la land, Me before you and The fault in our stars.

Now, if we abstract a bit and read between the lines between the patterns that are repeated in these films, one thing that is common to all of them is that the protagonists have a lot of chemistry! Regardless of how our story unfolds, what will make it stand out is the chemistry between our protagonists.

What do you think?

That's all for today, thanks for making it this far. Goodbye!
