Focus on your own room number; is that selfish?

Hi Hive Lovers

The photo above is one of the hallways in a hotel; on the left and right are rooms with their respective numbers. I've been pacing there several times while staying for a few nights. The same thing, of course, has been done by everyone who has ever stayed at a hotel.

What's important here?

Have you ever noticed that whenever someone passes through a hallway in a hotel, they only focus on their room—they actually only remember their own room number and ignore the numbers in the other rooms they passed?

Generally, those who stay at a hotel are people who do not know each other and may even ignore each other. You feel you don't need to know about the condition of other people who are in other rooms next to yours. You will not find out the condition of other people's rooms that are there, and that is not your right.

Everyone who stays in a hotel has feelings and chooses the same attitude. They will not want to know the affairs of other people who are next to them. It's really useless to find out the state of other people's rooms there.

You only want to take care of yourself, and you are only responsible for your own room. Each person will be like that, and everything will go normally. mutual indifference, and everyone focused on their own room numbers and completely focused on their own businesses.
Is that selfish?

What's more important here?

In fact, our lives are a hallway for interacting with other people and just greeting each other. You don't have to know other people's businesses, much less feel compelled to meddle in other people's businesses.

You will absolutely not want to know about other people's businesses, and you will never want to get into the lives of other people around you. It is completely unnecessary and useless.

Focus on your own interests and on your own life. Your life is your responsibility. What you do in your life is for your benefit, your right, and your responsibility.
Is that selfish?
