Sarcoscypha Coccinea - family Sarcoscyphaceae of the order Pezizales

Moist soil or scalded, wet tree trunks are places where fungus thrives. Mushrooms can grow anywhere in humid or high water content.

Talking about mushrooms, of course, there are many types and forms, both of which can be consumed or which contain deadly poisons. Here is one type of mushroom that is unique and attractive, also does not contain toxins.

Sarcoscypha coccinea

Sarcoscypha coccinea, commonly known as the red fairy cup mushroom, or red cup, is a species of fungus in the family Sarcoscyphaceae of the order Pezizales. This fungus grows a lot in Indonesia.

Besides being beautiful and unique, this mushroom also has color variants, such as white and orange (orange peel mushroom). This mushroom can be consumed, it just has no taste.

These are some photos I got yesterday afternoon in the neighbor's garden. There are also types in orange and white. Oh my goodness the white mushroom is still very small.
