"As a fungus grows in the rainy season," is an allusion to something that finds the right conditions to appear in abundance. So, this is fungus time because it is the rainy season.
It's just that the garden areas around the villages where I live, are almost as homogeneous as tropical rainforests. The difference is, in the forests only a few types of fruit trees grow, while in the village gardens, various kinds of trees grow so that in some places, the trees look very tight and form a canopy that blocks the sun. Under the canopy of the fruit trees, the leaves and branches of the trees cover the ground, and become quite moist.
Fungus appeared here and there, but not only them.
There also live mosquitoes that will soon approach you, disturb your hearing with tremendous noise, then they land on all exposed parts of your body, especially the hands and face. To photograph the fungi in an environment like this, we are forced to give up the mosquitoes to accompany us. There is seldom any other way!
