Fungi Friday : Elegant white on the ground

1005.JPG

Walking on a wet path in a dense forest with its canopy which is sometimes very difficult to penetrate by sunlight, is a challenge that rarely gives pleasure, because it is difficult to shift the focus to anything other than a slippery path and there are many protruding roots.

It is different from walking in bush areas or low forest where we can pay attention to various things more freely and it will provide a pleasure. That is like being able to observe dead wood or the remains of cow or water buffalo dung, and find organisms that are white or tend to be cream that appear elegantly there.

Several bracket fungi (polyporales) protrude themselves from a deadwood. This one looks like bread sprinkled with spices.

It allowed itself to be penetrated by a blade of grass.

I wonder how can a blade of grass do that?

The scenery around the location where I took these pictures.

I saw this one like a pretty hat. Around here, I noticed a lot of water buffalo dung. I guess it might be some kind of magic mushroom too!
