Fungi Friday - The wonderful Basidiomycota in Borneo Island

Hello there, happy #fungifriday ! _
It's nice to see you guys again in Fungi Friday Challenge.

Today I would like to share about Basidiomycota. It's a class of fungi that grow a lot in the tropics like my area, West Borneo.

In general, this type of fungi has a curved circle shape similar to an umbrella. This is a common form of mushrooms, almost 70% of mushrooms in the world have an umbrella shape.

Local people know the class Basidiomycota fungi with several local names, I will discuss them further below.

The first one is Ngai Nyogak, this mushroom has a perfectly curved shape, is light brown in color and looks very beautiful.

The surface of the flower is a little slippery, has a stem and roots that are sturdy enough to support the flower measuring about 2 to 3 centimeters.

Some types of fungi basidiomycota live in groups, and some others live independently or separately from others, but this one lives alone, so sometimes it doesn't last long, because it is vulnerable to being stepped on, exposed to rain, storms so it is easily damaged.

Next, this mushroom is called Kati Nyogak, the color is similar to the mushrooms I discussed earlier, but this one is a little different.

If it is analogous to an umbrella, then this mushroom has a shape like an inverted umbrella, super unique! _

Apart from living independently, I've also found some of these types of fungi that live in groups, and most of those that live close together will survive a little longer, because they can support each other's bodies.

The next one is Utoi Mushroom, at first glance it looks like Ngai Nyogak but the shape is slightly different, which is curved upwards.

In addition to a slightly different shape, the place of life is also different, if Ngai Nyogak lives on a moist soil surface, then this one grows on dead tree trunks.

And the last one are Begesak Asok. This is the type of fungus that thrives the most in the moist soil around my house, especially after rains.

If the other types of Basidiomycota mushrooms have wide buds, then this one actually has very small buds. Therefore this fungus is very susceptible and short-lived. usually its life span is less than two days.

This type of fungus lives spread in various places, usually living in pairs or groups. have a variety of colors, some are white, brown, and some are black.
