Hola, Setero! Before I start with today's selection of fungi awesomeness, firstly let me make a little announcement: community has another initiative that you may participate: @bambuka's 'Campfire conversation' (details by the link below). Just in two words: tell us a short story combined with a photo.

and some figures (as always):

Up to date we are 554 subscribers and 83 active posters. Community account reached the total power of 3433 HP (thanks to @qwerrie, @solominer, @bambuka, @keuudeip and @portal-xenna for their delegation). As you know, FL is a part of @OCD community incubation program -- check the link above for full details. In brief, it means @OCD encourages hiveans to post to dedicated communities by giving back nice upvotes for great posts. (OCD discord address for communication).

We just kindly ask: go for quality, instead of quantity. No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime.

@leylar had a walk to the forest and found mushrooms. not enough for cooking, obviously, but enough to create some great touchy macros. Do look around carefully, and you will find them, cause they are everywhere!

some nice examples of aged shelf fungi from @suzana72 - yes, tree fungi are extremely popular in this season; what else can you find in a forest?..

awesome post with different tree fungi from @rima11. they touched my eyes and soul with their strange shapes - some of them look like alien cities, others look outstretched arms, reaching out for salvation. a good nutrition for your fantasy and creativity, especially if you enjoy to draw.

look at @borjan's finds - these stinkhorns and mysterious egg arnt from forest, he found them near a shopping mall when was out for food. now you see how important it is to look around well! you may find much more intresting stuff, than tree polipores.

I will round up this week's selection with an awesome post from @patschwork - it is her 1st post to FL, and look at the stuff: a nice biodiversity and a great fungi portraits. (By the way: I recommend using #dna tag for the stuff displaying such a biodiversity, it gives a chance your post to receive an extra-support from @dna.org).

And a little reminder: we have a nice fun challenge at HIVE, hold by @EwkaW: #FungiFriday. I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes, share your fungi with us! post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported !)
  • add #fungifriday (not necessarily must be your 1st tag). that's all!
