Celebrating 71 years of life of my mother from Cumana [ESP/ING]

¡Hola, Comunidad de Hive!

Hello, Hive Community!

As I have told you I am a native of Margarita Island, I have been living in Cumaná- Sucre state- Venezuela for about 31 years and since about 24 years ago I met Doña Mercedes who I have had the privilege of having by my side as a mother, a wonderful woman who since I met her has always given me arms to cry, She has always been in my best and worst moments, my mother from Cuman, as I usually present her, because she was the putative mother that life gave me, although I do not carry her blood, she is the one with whom I have had the joy of converging in life, we have shared good and bad times and above all we always say that we are united by love and for me she is my mother and for my children since they were little their grandmother. So this September 24 as every year we celebrate her years of life, we applaud on this occasion her 71 years and this time in a very special way because this year she faced the COVID 19 and had the will and joy to survive it despite how delicate it was, so we planned as a family that this year we would have to celebrate the opportunity of life that God had given her and give thanks that she was there to tell the tale. Based on this my daughter and I wanted to give him his favorite cake or cake known as Maria Luisa cake for this we looked for budget until we finally found a bakery called "Delicias en Tortas" which had very good prices and are well known for its taste in Cumana, on Tuesday 21 I made the section of the same delivering half the price and so I could have it ready for Friday 24 at 9am that day; For this I went with my partner after being vaccinated against COVID 19 to pick up the order for which I had to pay the remaining balance.

Once we removed the cake I must confess that I lived moments of anguish because the cake is cold and was freshly made and with the heat of this city plus the transportation problems the cake melted a little and wanted to flip over and you will notice the difference in the photos, but thank God I could bring it home whole and put it to cool until the afternoon: We arrived at the birthday after five in the afternoon, so I sent my partner with the cake by bus with his young son and we walked until we arrived at the pachangona which took place in a family atmosphere and the most important thing is that my mother was happy to share with her closest family and friends, The truth was a very emotional evening and where we had to thank God for allowing us to have her and for the opportunity to continue enjoying her witticisms but above all to continue receiving her love and respect, around eight o'clock we sang "cumple" and once that was done we left because it is quite distant from my house and very cumbersome transportation to return.
