La comida favorita de mis hijos /My children's favorite food
Hola amigos bienvenidos a mi blog en Vida de mama, para continuar hablando de los hijos en esta oportunidad sobre sus comidas favoritas.
Hello friends welcome to my blog at Vida de mama, to continue talking about the children in this opportunity about their favorite foods.
Tastes for foods change with age and are also determined by the habits that parents somehow impose when deciding what foods to give our children.
However, we have noticed that just as they reject one food or another, other foods are their favorites and we spoil them by feeding them more frequently.
As I have five children I notice differences in the tastes of each one and I will take as an example the youngest who is already 16 years old.
Since she was a little girl, Mariangel has loved potatoes, but especially french fries, and I am going to tell you an anecdote about this special taste.
Due to work I had to leave home for a month and Mariangel was only two years old, my husband's mother, my mother-in-law, took care of her and my other children.
She lost her appetite and ate very little. My mother-in-law realized that the only thing she liked to eat were french fries and started to give them to her every day. Even today my daughter asks me for them with that tone of voice that children have when they want something from you..... Mommy make me french fries.
The corn flour empanadas typical of Venezuela is another of his favorite foods. I make them for breakfast or dinner. Filled with grated llanero cheese, meat, chicken, cazon (fish) or cheese with spinach, very nutritious and tasty. I had to make a lot of them, an average of three empanadas per person and there were seven of us in the family, a total of 21 empanadas .... quite a lot of work and I ate mine while I was making them. Today I only make a few.
Pasticho and pasta in general, they like it very much. When my children were little I used to prepare pastina, a special pasta that comes in the shape of little figures of animals, letters or numbers; with butter, milk and cheese and they liked it very much and they kept their taste for pasta.
Black beans were a special dish. I make them with a sweet touch, I learned it from my mother. Accompanied with rice, marinated meat and fried plantains... a feast. Now some of my children prefer them salty. This is a never ending discussion among Venezuelans, if caraotas should be prepared salty or sweet ...., what do you think?
Christmas could not be missing in this publication. Everyone in the family likes them and it is a tradition to make them in the month of December. Sometimes when I feel like eating something similar I make some seasoned rolls wrapped in corn husks and they are very tasty.
And as sweets cannot be absent from this list, chocolate cookie cake, cassava fritters with paprika syrup and polvorosas are among his favorites.
We ate out very often. Fried or grilled chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas..... what child doesn't like them. Now we make them at home. Like these chicken sandwiches like the ones they sell in a well-known fast food chain and that Mariangel likes very much.
I hope you like it, I really enjoyed remembering and writing these family moments. I really enjoyed remembering and writing these family moments, thank you for making it this far.
