Lately I've joined several challenges and this time, I got a quite particular one is #cigüeñachallenge made by @victorabsb, who I want to thank for creating this space, where we can share this beautiful experience, which is to be able to give life and bring a human being to the world.
Soy madre de tres varones y he vivido todos mis partos de manera diferente, he tenido experiencia de parto natural y cesárea así que trataré de contarles como fue cada uno.
Cuando cumplí 21 años planifique mi primer embarazo, como madre primeriza estaba muy ansiosa sobre ¿cómo sería el nacimiento? pero a la vez estaba un poco tranquila, porque la mayoría de mis amigas que ya tenían hijos, me habían hablado sobre su experiencias, que habían sido muy buenas, me dieron consejos y me decían constantemente que un parto natural era mejor, debido a que la recuperación es muy rápida, claro que era un poco doloroso durante el trabajo de parto, pero nada que no pudieses soportar, por lo que todas estas buenas referencias que tenía sobre el nacimiento natural, fue de gran ayuda para mí, ya que no tenía la idea, de que iba a sentir un dolor insoportable, que es lo que la mayoría nos dice.
I am a mother of three boys and I have lived all my births differently, I have had experience of natural childbirth and cesarean section so I will try to tell you how each one was.
When I turned 21 I planned my first pregnancy, as a first-time mother I was very anxious about how the birth would be. but at the same time I was a little calm, because most of my friends who already had children, had told me about their experiences, which had been very good, they gave me advice and constantly told me that a natural birth was better, because recovery is very fast, of course it was a little painful during labor, but nothing that you could not stand, so all these good references I had about natural birth, was a great help to me, because I did not have the idea, that I was going to feel unbearable pain, which is what most people tell us.
Mi trabajo de parto con Diego quién es mi primer hijo, duro casi 20 horas, como ya yo venía preparada con buenos tips y aunque fue una labor larga y un parto seco lo que lo hace más lento y más doloroso el proceso, todos los consejos que había recibido me sirvieron, las respiraciones, caminar mucho y mantener la calma, incluso pude dormir durante este proceso jajajaja. Finalmente el momento del nacimiento fué un poco más tedioso que los mismos dolores, ya que aunque mi hijo era en promedio normal, porque pesaba 3 kg y media 50 cm mi canal vaginal era mas estrecho que él y se dieron cuenta de esto, ya en el momento que estaba naciendo, así que las enfermeras tuvieron que ayudarme, sin embargo corrí con la suerte de que el ambiente era muy agradable, entre risas y música la Dra y su equipo me ayudaron a traer al mundo a mi primer hijo, la recuperación fue muy buena y rápida, tal cual me habían dicho mis amigas y en tres días pude volver a casa con mi bebé en brazos.
My labor with Diego, who is my first child, lasted almost 20 hours, as I had already been prepared with good tips and although it was a long labor and a dry delivery which made the process slower and more painful, all the advice I had received helped me, the breathing, walking a lot and staying calm, I was even able to sleep during this process hahaha. Finally the moment of birth was a little more tedious than the pains themselves, because although my son was on average normal, because he weighed 3 kg and a half 50 cm my vaginal canal was narrower than him and they realized this, already at the moment he was being born, so the nurses had to help me, However, I was lucky enough to have a very pleasant atmosphere. Between laughter and music, the doctor and her team helped me to deliver my first child, the recovery was very good and fast, just as my friends had told me, and in three days I was able to go home with my baby in my arms.
Cuando me embarace de mi segundo Hijo 5 años después de haber nacido Diego, si me sentía un poco más preocupada, porque por supuesto ya tenía una experiencia anterior y aunque no fue mala, ya tenía una idea de lo que esperaba jajaja, pero debido a una cardiopatía congénita que presentaba mi bebé, el parto debía ser por cesárea, a las 32 semanas de embarazo, comencé a perder líquido amniótico e inicié rápidamente trabajo de parto, por lo que tuvieron que hacerme una cesárea de emergencia, mi bebé peso 2,050 gramos y midió 45 cm, mi recuperación no fue tan rápida como en mi primer parto, pero fue muy buena, caminé e hice todas las cosas que podía sin mucha ayuda, debido a que el dolor era muy poco gracias a los calmantes. Aunque si cumplí un reposo y me cuidé de forma apropiada, pues sabía que a pesar de sentirme bien debía tener ciertos cuidados.
When I got pregnant with my second son 5 years after Diego was born, I felt a little more worried, because of course I already had a previous experience and although it was not bad, I already had an idea of what I was expecting hahaha, but due to a congenital cardiopathy that my baby had, the delivery had to be by cesarean section, at 32 weeks of pregnancy, I started to lose amniotic fluid and went into labor quickly, so I had to have an emergency C-section, my baby weighed 2,050 grams and measured 45 cm, my recovery was not as fast as in my first delivery, but it was very good, I walked and did all the things I could without much help, because the pain was very little thanks to the painkillers. Although I did get some rest and took care of myself properly, because I knew that even though I felt good I had to take care of myself.
Por último mi tercer bebé debido a que tenía una cesárea previa nació de igual manera, vino al mundo a las 38 semanas de gestación, la fecha de su nacimiento fué programada con anterioridad y se cumplió sin problemas, pesó 2,900grs y midió 47 cm. Está vez mi recuperación fue aún mejor, a pesar de haberme hecho una ligadura de trompas, no sentí ningún tipo de dolor, fue como si hubiese tenido un parto natural.
Cada experiencia es única algunas mejores que otras, pero sin duda todas son bonitas por el simple hecho de traer al mundo una nueva vida, agradezco mucho a Dios principalmente que todos mis niños nacieron sin complicaciones y que hoy en día están sanos. Ser madre es una experiencia muy bonita y una labor muy dedicada de tiempo completo pero sin duda cada día vale la pena.
Finally my third baby due to a previous C-section was born in the same way, he came into the world at 38 weeks of gestation, the date of his birth was scheduled in advance and was completed without problems, he weighed 2,900grs and measured 47cm. This time my recovery was even better, despite having a tubal ligation, I did not feel any pain, it was as if I had a natural birth.
Each experience is unique, some better than others, but without a doubt all are beautiful for the simple fact of bringing a new life into the world. I thank God very much, mainly that all my children were born without complications and that today they are healthy. Being a mother is a very beautiful experience and a very dedicated full time job but without a doubt every day is worth it.
