Producto de mis malas experiencias infantiles con las caries, he procurado que Rafael mantenga una buena rutina de higiene con sus dientes, sin embargo, el ya tiene un tiempo cepillándose solo, porque no puedo hacerlo yo toda la vida, es necesario que el aprenda la técnica pero he notado que todavía no lo hace muy bien, por eso empecé a notar sus dientes un poco amarillos cerca de las encías, esta fue suficiente razón para llevarlo a la odontóloga a que le hiciera una limpieza.
As a result of my bad childhood experiences with cavities, I have ensured that Rafael maintains a good hygiene routine with his teeth, however, he has already brushed himself for some time, because I cannot do it all my life, it is necessary for him to learn the technique but I have noticed that he still does not do it very well, that's why I started to notice his teeth a little yellow near the gums, this was enough reason to take him to the dentist to have him cleaned.
Rafael no tiene caries y por eso me causa terror que su técnica de cepillado aun no esté correcta y esto le ocasione caries en un futuro, el todavía no ha mudado toda su dentadura, de hecho la acumulación de amarillo es en sus dientes de leche, pero estos dientes se deben cuidar igualmente, es un gran error que las personas dejen que a sus hijos se le dañen sus dientes de leche, a mi me pasó y fue horrible porque tuve que esperar mucho tiempo antes de poder mudar, además mis primeros molares permanentes también tuvieron caries porque mis padres pensaban que eran de leche y lo peor es que al extraer algunos molares de leche antes de tiempo mis otros dientes se movieron de lugar y redujeron ese espacio que necesitaban los dientes de hueso para nacer bien colocados, entonces las consecuencias de esa niñez de la cual ya casi ni tengo recuerdos las sigo viviendo. Por eso repito que los dientes de leche se deben cuidar muy bien.

Rafael estaba un poco nervioso, pero aun así creo que le emocionaba la idea de vivir esa nueva experiencia, es un niño muy valiente , además en casa hemos tratado estos temas siempre recalcando que no hay que temer al dentista, de hecho Rafael tiene en su tableta un juego que es sobre ser dentista de dinosaurios, el juega usando taladros y haciendo reparaciones dentales a estos personajes, así que cuando la doctora le mostró a Rafael la herramienta que limpia y a la vez hace irrigación de agua , el se mostró tranquilo.

Rafael estuvo tranquilo a pesar de que la limpieza era un poco incomoda por la cantidad de agua que debía escupir a cada momento, pero en general todo fue bien, le dolió un poquito pero soportó muy bien, la doctora fue muy amable con él y poco a poco le iba explicando lo que iba haciendo y de le decía en que áreas debía poner más enfoque cuando se cepillara en casa. Yo espero que mi niño crezca sano y nunca se tenga que enfrentar a las consecuencias de una caries, aunque ya a cierta edad el será corresponsable del mantenimiento de sus dientes, espero poder seguir cuidándolo para que no sufra y tenga una buena dentadura, esto tiene muchos factores, a mi por ejemplo me dijeron que mi dentadura era más débil, aun así si el llega tener problemas mas adelante yo estaré con el para apoyarlo 😊
