Saludos comunidad, hoy tuve una experiencia interesante conversando con una sicóloga sobre mi hija, lamentablemente tuvimos que retirarla de las anteriores terapias por múltiples factores, lo que nos ha llevado a buscar unas más cercas de casa, fue así como hallé una fundación que trata a niños con TEA.
Video games are good for my daughter with autism
Hello community, today I had an interesting experience talking with a psychologist about my daughter, unfortunately we had to withdraw her from the previous therapies due to multiple factors, which has led us to look for some closer to home, that's how I found a foundation that treats children with ASD.
La coordinadora para niños con autismo amablemente me recibió para escuchar nuestro caso, pero sin la posibilidad de darle un ingreso inmediato debido a que no tienen cupo disponible, sin embargo, le pedí poder conversar algunos asuntos sobre mi hija y detalles sobre su comportamiento reciente, en especial un interés muy grande que a despertado por los vídeo juegos.
The coordinator for children with autism kindly received me to listen to our case, but without the possibility of immediate admission because they have no space available, however, I asked her to discuss some issues about my daughter and details about her recent behavior, especially a very great interest she has awakened for video games.
Si revisas mi perfil notarás mi fascinación por los vídeo juegos, nunca estaré demasiado viejo para esto, ella me ve jugar y también a su hermano mayor desde hace mucho tiempo, pero jamás nos pidió participar, hasta hace algunos meses atrás, esto sería la razón de su reciente interés, porque su familia lo tiene por hobby, la verdad no me opongo a qué lo haga, pero me preocupaba que sea perjudicial para ella, al ser una niña autista.
If you check my profile you will notice my fascination for video games, I will never be too old for this, she sees me and her older brother play for a long time, but she never asked us to participate, until a few months ago, this would be the reason for her recent interest, because her family has it as a hobby, the truth is I am not opposed to what she does, but I was worried that it would be harmful to her, being an autistic child.
Obvio que lo primero que hice en aquel momento cuando mi hija me pidió poder jugar fue permitirselo, pero me fui a Google a saber que se dice al respecto. Como todo en internet, la información es abundante, pero todos parecen converger en un punto, que los videojuegos son mucho mas atractivos para los niños con autismo que para cualquier otor niños, eso me dejó impresionado, así que tuve que leer un poco mas.

Uno de los articulos que mas me llamo la atencion fue el de un sitio llamado 'Autism Parenting Magazine' donde señala que los videojuegos son mas recomendables para niños en el nivel 1 del espectro, que segun diagnosticos de sus doctores, es en el que se encuentra mi hija, eso me tranquilizo un poco y deje que avanzara mas en el asunto, incluso me involucre con ella y me pidio hacer videos para Youtube juntos, hicimos un par de ellos y los compartir en la comunidad de Geek Zone.
One of the articles that caught my attention was from a site called 'Autism Parenting Magazine' where it states that video games are more recommended for children in level 1 of the spectrum, which according to her doctor's diagnoses, is where my daughter is, that calmed me down a bit and I let her go further into the matter, I even got involved with her and she asked me to make videos for Youtube together, we made a couple of them and share them in the Geek Zone community.

Lo cierto es que sorprende la habilidad con la que juega, en días recientes mi hijo mayor y yo jugábamos con ellas a las carreras, nos sorprendió que no podíamos vencerle, solo tienes algunas semanas que le deje jugar y lo hace por tiempos limitados que le coloco, tambien me causa un poco de gracia porque aprendió a jugar muy bien tan rápido, pero escribir y leer aún le cuesta, definitivamente, la generación de niños actuales es mas tecnológica.
