Unfortunately today there are many parents who are not very affectionate with their children, either because of the upbringing they had when they were young and perhaps that affects them over time.
Hoy día lamentablemente existen muchos padres que no son muy cariñosos con sus hijos, ya sea por la crianza que tuvieron cuando eran pequeños y quizás eso los afecte con el tiempo.
But parents know that they are not hopeless cases. I know a beautiful couple, Luciano and Clara who have two children. Luciano is shy and not very affectionate, but he is very hardworking and responsible. He says that his parents were farmers and work was always the most important thing.
Pero padres sepan que no son casos perdidos. Conozco a una hermosa pareja, Luciano y Clara el cual tienen dos hijos. Luciano es tímido y poco cariñoso, pero es muy trabajador y responsable. Él dice que sus padres eran campesinos y siempre el trabajo era lo más relevante.

But his wife Clara is a sweetheart. Over time she has helped him overcome that obstacle, giving him advice, teaching him that being affectionate is something of utmost importance, whether in a relationship or raising his children. That love and affection are shown not only with words but with deeds, and that work is not everything in life.
Pero su esposa Clara es un amor. Con el tiempo lo ha ayudado a superar ese obstáculo, dándole consejos, enseñándolo que el ser cariñoso es algo de suma importancia, ya sea en una relación o la crianza de sus hijos. Despite all her chores when she gets home, she is very attentive to her children, hugs them, kisses them, plays with them, among other things. This has allowed harmony to exist in her home and her children to feel happy and of course to be affectionate as well.
