En épocas anteriores los padres salían a trabajar para procurar el sustento y las madres se quedaban en casa para encargarse del hogar y de los niños, pero con la entrada en vigencia de la época moderna, eso fue cambiando, así hoy en día son muy pocas las mujeres que solo se dedican a ser amas de casa, bueno eso también depende del contexto en el que vivan, de su pis y de su creencias, pero justamente sobre ser ama de casa, trabajar o incluso estudiar es el tema que propone el Daily Challenge: #MomLife Week 3, para las madres o padres que deseen conocer más de los temas propuestos para esa semana, por acá les comparto la publicación con todos los temas propuestos para esa semana, ahora a responder la siguiente pregunta:

Vaya tema este, ya que de las tres actividades señaladas tuve y mantengo algunas, la historia comienza con mi embarazo, en ese momento estaba desempleada y sabemos que nadie me daría un trabajo estando en estado de gravidez, así que hasta los tres años de Cristian me dedique a él y a las labores en casa y allí comencé mis estudios de Derecho, pero comenzar mis estudios en Derecho y que gracias a Dios me convocaran a un empleo fue prácticamente lo mismo.
Ese empleo, que todavía hoy conservo llego a mis de manos de un profesor que supo yo ya estaba graduada como Técnico Superior Universitario y me solicito un curriculum, la verdad fui bastante escéptica al darle el curriculum, pero para mi sorpresa me llamaron y en enero de 2006 comencé a laborar.

Allí comenzó lo bueno, ya que entonces debía ir al trabajo, buscar a Cristian en el preescolar, lavar, atender otras labores del hogar y estudiar, este reto no es fácil, pero de que se puede se puede, solo hay que organizarse. En ese momento gracias a Dios mi abuela estaba bastante bien y ella me ayudaba con muchas cosas, era la que cocinaba para todos y cuando ya Cristian estaba en edad escolar, ella , mi madre y mi hemana estaban atentas a que regresa de la escuela a casa a tiempo.
That's when the good part began, since then I had to go to work, pick up Cristian at the preschool, wash, take care of other household chores and study, this challenge is not easy, but you can do it, you just have to organize yourself. At that time thank God my grandmother was quite well and she helped me with many things, she was the one who cooked for everyone and when Cristian was of school age, she, my mother and my sister were attentive to make sure he came home from school on time.
La maneera de lograr todo este malabarismo es organizarte yo aprovechaba cada minuto que tenia libre en la oficina para estudiar y en casa atendía a las labores que otros no podían tender por mí, como lavar, doblar y guardar la ropa limpia, limpiar la habitación, parte de las tareas con Cristian y muchas veces descansar ya que no es nada fácil tener tantas activados de lunes a viernes y ni hablar de si algún profesor se le ocurría alguna actividad para el fin de semana.
The way to achieve all this juggling is to get organized, I took advantage of every minute I had free at the office to study and at home I attended to the chores that others could not do for me, like washing, folding and putting away the clean clothes, cleaning the room, part of the chores with Cristian and many times resting since it is not easy to have so many activities from Monday to Friday and not to mention if a teacher came up with some activity for the weekend.
De la misma manera, sé que cada mujer piensa y decide basándose en su realidad, por ejemplo, yo tenia la ventaja de tener con quien dejar a mi hijo en casa si no tenía clases y mientras estaba en la universidad, pero hay quienes no tienen esa bendición y deben elegir si pueden costear una guardería o simplemente esperar a que su hijos estén mas grandes para así poder salir a laborar, pero esto a su vez también dependerá de si tienen un sustento que les permita quedarse solo como amas de casa, así que hay varios factores a consideras dependiendo de cada quien y su entorno.
Pero mi consejo es si deseas estudiar, aunque tu hijo o hijos estén pequeños hazlo, busca la manera, estudiar es enriquecedor y satisfactorio, si deseas trabajar busca la manera de organizarte para no descuidarlos y poder compartir con ellos, ya que los momentos que no vivas de ellos y junto a ellos no volverán, crecen muy rápido y si deseas quedarte en casa, pues tampoco te quedes solo allí secándote siendo solo ama de casa desgasta demasiado y esas labores no dan descanso ni vacaciones.
In the same way, I know that every woman thinks and decides based on their reality, for example, I had the advantage of having someone to leave my son at home if I had no classes and while I was in college, but there are those who do not have that blessing and must choose whether they can afford a daycare or just wait until their children are older so they can go out to work, but this in turn will also depend on whether they have a livelihood that allows them to stay alone as housewives, so there are several factors to consider depending on each person and their environment.
But my advice is if you want to study, even if your child or children are small do it, look for the way, studying is enriching and satisfying, if you want to work look for the way to organize yourself to not neglect them and to be able to share with them, since the moments that you do not live of them and with them will not return, they grow very fast and if you want to stay at home, well do not stay alone there drying you being only housewife wears too much and those tasks do not give rest or vacation.
