Привіт! Здається, що монет з Індії на огляді не було. Є в моїй колекції ось така монета 2009 року. Виготовлена вона з нержавіючої сталі, має гладкий гурт. Діаметр 27 мм, а вага 5.8 г.
При нинішньому курсі 2 рупії — це близько 88 копійок України. Продають її за ціною від 10 до 20, іноді 30 гривень (в залежності від мітки монетного двору).
Взагалі, рупія використовується не тільки в Індії, а й Пакистані, Непалі, Індонезії та деяких інших країнах. Індійська ж рупія виникла в середині 16 століття. Спочатку це була срібна монета, а значно пізніше — з'явилися перші паперові гроші (18 століття). До речі, всі срібні рупії виготовлялись зі срібла високої проби.
В середині минулого століття для полегшення розрахунків було впроваджено монету під назвою пайс. Нині ці монети виведено з обігу й зберігаються вони виключно у колекціонерів. В наш час фінансовий регулятор виготовляє розмінну монету — рупію номіналом від 1 до 10.
Монети номіналом 2 рупії виготовлялися чотирма різними монетними дворами. Ціна монет трохи різниться в залежності від МД. При цьому тираж невідомий. Саме ця монета виготовлена на монетному дворі Калькутти або ж Нойда. Крім того, випуском займалися МД Мумбаї та Гайдабарад.
Реверс. З цього боку зображення складені характерним чином пальці рук. Це не випадковий жест, а хаста-мудри. Такі жести використовуються в класичних індійських танцях. Зліва від цього зображення вказано номінал.
З лицьової сторони нанесено дві горизонтальні лінії, між якими можна побачити 4 азійських леви. Це скульптура відома під назвою “Левова капітель Ашоки”. У верхній частині викарбувано напис Індія, а в нижній — рік введення в обіг. Під датою нанесено логотип монетного двору. На монетах, виготовлених в Калькутті, мітки монетного двору відсутні.

At first it was a silver coin, and the first paper money appeared much later (18th century). By the way, all silver rupees were made of high quality silver.
In the middle of the last century, a coin called a paise was introduced to facilitate calculations. Currently, these coins are withdrawn from circulation and are kept exclusively by collectors. Nowadays, the financial regulator produces a 1 to 10 rupee coin.
The 2 rupee coins were produced by four different mints. The price of coins varies slightly depending on the MD. At the same time, the circulation is unknown. This particular coin was produced at the Calcutta or Noida mint. In addition, MD Mumbai and Hyderabad were involved in the issue.
Reverse. On this side of the image, the fingers are folded in a characteristic way. This is not a random gesture, but hasta-mudra. Such gestures are used in classical Indian dances. To the left of this image is the denomination.
Two horizontal lines are drawn on the obverse, between which 4 Asiatic lions can be seen. This sculpture is known as the Lion Capital of Ashoka. The inscription India is embossed in the upper part, and the year of introduction into circulation is engraved in the lower part. Below the date is the mint logo. Coins produced in Calcutta do not have mintmarks.
