Коли з’явився UGEARS? / When did UGEARS appear?
Коли в 2014-му році Україною в зв’язку з російською агресією зацікавився весь світ, декілька українців вирішили створити унікальний продукт: механічні моделі з 3D-пазлів, які б могли рухатися і які потрібно самостійно скласти.
When the whole world became interested in Ukraine in connection with the Russian aggression in 2014, several Ukrainians decided to create a unique product: mechanical models from 3D puzzles that could move and that you need to assemble yourself.
Першочергово розробники вирішили, що цільова аудиторія їхнього продукту це діти 7-14 років. Але практика показує інші показники. Як і LEGO, UGEARS зміг завоювати прихильність абсолютно всіх людей віком від 5 до 999 років 😂
Перші моделі робили власноруч та продавали на виставці в Одесі. А зараз компанія Ugears має контракт з корпорацією Walt Disney, а це означає що відтепер конструктори будуть представлені у понад 700 фірмових магазинах по всьому світу. До речі, засновником є Геннадій Шестак.

Цікавий факт. 24 листопада 2015 року розробники відкрили компанію зі зборів коштів на сайті Kickstarter, де проект зібрав понад $400 тис. при необхідних 20 тис. Проте, масштабно на світовий ринок вони досить довго не виходили, потрібно було відшліфувати роботу.

Що цікаво, пошук назви для компанії – Ugears – тривав аж чотири місяці! Складно придумати нову та оригінальну назву, коли в світі зареєстровано понад п’ятдесят мільйонів брендів. І все ж українцям це вдалося: Ugears (скорочено від «Ukrainian gears») виявилась вільною назвою. І, безперечно, доволі влучною.

It is difficult to come up with a new and original name when there are more than fifty million brands registered in the world. And yet the Ukrainians succeeded: Ugears (short for "Ukrainian gears") turned out to be a free name. And, of course, quite accurate.
Що можна зібрати з UGEARS? / What can be collected from UGEARS?
В конструкторському бюро компанії працює кілька десятків людей. І найцікавіше те, що для складання будь якого конструктору вам не потрібно використовувати клей чи спеціальні інструменти.
The company's design bureau employs several dozen people. And the most interesting thing is that you do not need to use glue or special tools to assemble any constructor.
Всі деталі виготовлені з фанери, є детальна інструкція що та як складати, а самі комплекти є унікальними розробками та запатентовані. Що, звичайно, не захищає розробників від китайських підробок.
All parts are made of plywood, there are detailed instructions on what and how to assemble, and the kits themselves are unique designs and patented. Which, of course, does not protect developers from Chinese counterfeits.
Що стосується асортименту, то можна збирати практично все - від звичайноі шкатулки чи моделей мотоциклу, аж до сейфа із кодовим замком та метелика, котрий самостійно рухається та повноцінної механічної моделі локомотиву. Загалом в асортименті вже представлено більше 55 цікавих моделей.
As for the range, you can collect almost everything - from a regular box or motorcycle models to a safe with a combination lock and a butterfly that moves independently and a full-fledged mechanical model of the locomotive. In total, the range already includes more than 55 interesting models.
І, на мій погляд, кожен конструктор є гендерно нейтральним! Хоча в деяких статтях починають розписувати, що хлопчикам більше підійде ось це, а дівчаткам оте… НІТ! Знаєте, я колись образилась на ряд магазинів, котрі писали, що набори ардуіно це «хлопчача» забавка. Тому, якщо вирішили зробити подарунок у вигляді констуктору, то просто запитайте, що людині більше подобається 😏 І я точно знаю, що наступним куплю для себе – якусь модель з UGESRS.
And, in my opinion, every designer is gender-neutral! Although in some articles they start to paint that this is more suitable for boys, and for girls оте NO! You know, I once took offence at a number of stores that wrote that Arduino sets were a "boy's" toy. Therefore, if you decide to make a gift in the form of a designer, then just ask what the person likes more 😏 And I know for sure that the next I will buy for myself - a model from UGEARS.
До речі! Ледь не забула. Цінова політика компанії досить лояльна і ціни за цю красу в межах розумного. Я, навіть скажу, що деякі моделі здається продають занадто дешево. Звичайно, вартість для України та закордонних покупців відрізняється і в нас конструктори дешевші. Тим не менш, але максимальна ціна не перевищує 60 долларів на офіційному сайті для українців і 80 долларів для користувачів з штатів.
By the way! I almost forgot. The company's pricing policy is quite loyal and the prices for this beauty are within reasonable limits. I would even say that some models seem to sell too cheaply. Of course, the cost for Ukraine and foreign buyers is different and our designers are cheaper. However, the maximum price does not exceed $ 60 on the official website for Ukrainians and $ 80 for users from the states.
