2021 - Romania. The city of Margaret. Vacation 2021

I continue the story of a trip to the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. As I wrote after our journey through Transcarpathia, we crossed the Ukrainian-Romanian border early in the morning through the Dyakovo customs post.

We crossed the border quite quickly, there were not many cars. However, it should be noted that the time was in the morning, about eight o'clock. Ukrainian customs officers and border guards passed quickly, Romanian ones did not work in a hurry, they just changed. Drinking coffee, Romanians slowly went to their jobs. The first (and only (for the whole trip)) we were asked to PCR test for kovid-19. Everything turned out well and we entered Romania.

After passing the village of Halmeu, we headed to the big city of Satu Mare, which unfortunately we passed quickly without stopping, so there are no photos of it. The next Romanian city where we stayed was a small Margita.

It is located in Bihor County, 43 km. from the big city of Oradea. In the center hangs a map of this small town, which is home to about 17 thousand people. By the way, a lot of Hungarians live in this area. This is due to the fact that before the First World War there was not Romania, but Hungary. Therefore, Margita and other cities along the Hungarian border are very reminiscent of Transcarpathia, where a lot of Hungarian is also heard around. So we felt at home.

The town is quite neat, very similar to our Transcarpathian. There is also a typical Soviet building, but it does not look too abandoned, as in some places here.

There are such convenient pump rooms, thanks to which you can quench your thirst. Which we did on the way to further interesting cities.
