У Масандрі, яка знаходиться прямо біля Ялти, є санаторій «Донбас». Цей заклад радянського типу, розташований в чудовому і красивому парку. Природно сам санаторій, номери в ньому, їдальня - все це совковий сервіс і совкова інфраструктура. Не кажу, що погана, але совкова. Багатьом, дуже подобається.

Отже, в Масандрі, знаходиться дрібногалечний пляж, побудований в два яруси, що займає 460 метрів берегової смуги - досить затишний і приємний. На ньому є всі супутні зручності - лежаки, оренда водного інвентарю, туалет, душ, кабінки для переодягання, тощо. Пляж відноситься власне до санаторію «Донбас» і межує із пляжем готелю «Ялта Інтурист».

Спуск на цей пляж здійснюється за допомогою канатної дороги, так як санаторій знаходиться на висоті 130 метрів над рівнем моря. Шлях займає близько п'яти хвилин і відбувається над живописним пейзажем гір і розкинутими під ними виноградниками.
