Книга на мене справила мотивуючу дію, автор в алегорію чайки вклав особистість яка близька мені по духу. Прообраз Джонатана - людина яка визначилася з тим чого хоче досягти і йде до своєї мети. На жаль суспільство в якому він народився і жив, засмічене стереотипами що чайка повинна шукати прожитку на пляжах і у риболовецьких суден, підбираючи залишки і відбиваючись від інших чайок. Коли на нього натиснули рідні ми бачимо що він навіть намагався загнати себе в рамки «нормальності», але він не витримав і дня, тому що зрозумів що життя дане не для того щоб витрачати його на стереотипний образ життя.
Джонатан пішов проти цих стереотипів і вирішив вийти за рамки звичайного життя чайок, хоч це і було ризиковано, що надалі зробило його вигнанцем власного племені. Слабку духом чайку це напевно сламало б, але ми бачимо що у Джонатана є «стержень», а ті у кого він є адаптуються до будь-якої ситуації, їм не потрібно схвалення більшості, вони чітко бачать мету і йдуть до її реалізації. Піти проти правил- це рішення Джонатана, не можна сказати правильне чи ні, адже якщо дивитися через призму «більшості», то це рішення було неправильним, а якщо оцінювати з точки зору розвитку Джонатана, то це однозначно вірне рішення.
І після вигнання наш герой замість того щоб сумувати, навпаки продовжує ще з більшим ентузіазмом, «прокачувати» свої навички польоту, працює над технікою, і з тим же, завдання які для звичайних чайок є основними в житті, у Джонатана займають мінімальну кількість ресурсів і виконуються в режимі неусвідомленої компетентності, йому не потрібно замислюватися де взяти їжу, або дрейфувати на воді щоб поспати.
І коли за ним прийшли «чайки -ангели», він здивувався і почав їх випробовувати, мені здається і люди мають сильну особистість завжди змагаються зі смертю. Ми це можемо бачити в літніх людей які в поважному віці мають активну життєву позицію, і набагато здоровіше «більшості» своїх однолітків.
Як показав автор після переходу в «інший світ» чайка продовжує розвиватися і це постійні процес, немає меж, немає вершини для цілеспрямованого лідера, але якщо робиш неправильний вибір ти проживаєш сотні, тисячі і мільйони життів поки все-таки не вибереш йти до мети.
Мене вразило в цій історії ще, те що коли Джонатан повернувся в своє плем'я, він кардинально відрізнявся від того яким йшов, він світився і виділявся з натовпу, як сильні, харизматичні особистості виділяються в нашому суспільстві. І цей світ повів звичайних чайок за ним, тому що не можна не повірити цій харизмі і світла!
І найважливіша місія кожного лідера який виховав себе, виховувати собі подібних, допомагати іншим виходити за рамки.
Ця книга є прообразом багатьох людей, багатьох подій, багатьох історій і мене самого.

My review of the cool book "THE GULL JONATHAN LIVINGSTON"
The book had a motivating effect on me, the author put in the allegory of the seagull a person who is close to me in spirit. The prototype of Jonathan - a man who has decided what he wants to achieve and goes to his goal. Unfortunately, the society in which he was born and lived, littered with stereotypes that the seagull should seek livelihood on the beaches and fishing boats, picking up the remains and fighting off other seagulls. When he was pressured by his family, we see that he even tried to drive himself into the framework of "normalcy", but he could not stand the day, because he realized that life is not given to spend it on a stereotypical lifestyle. Jonathan went against these stereotypes and decided to go beyond the normal life of seagulls, although it was risky, which later made him an exile of his own tribe. It would probably break a weak-minded seagull, but we see that Jonathan has a "core", and those who have him adapt to any situation, they do not need the approval of the majority, they clearly see the goal and go to its realization. To go against the rules is Jonathan's decision, you can't say right or wrong, because if you look through the prism of the "majority", this decision was wrong, and if you evaluate in terms of Jonathan's development, it is definitely the right decision.
And after the exile, our hero, instead of mourning, on the contrary continues with even greater enthusiasm, "pump" their flight skills, working on technology, and with the same, which tasks for ordinary seagulls are essential in life, Jonathan takes up minimal resources and performed in the mode of unconscious competence, he does not need to think about where to take food, or drift on the water to sleep.
And when the "seagulls-angels" came after him, he was surprised and began to test them, I think people have a strong personality and always compete with death. We can see this in older people who have an active life position at a respectable age, and are much healthier than "most" of their peers.
As the author showed after the transition to "another world" the seagull continues to develop and it is a constant process, no boundaries, no top for a purposeful leader, but if you make the wrong choice you live hundreds, thousands and millions of lives until you choose to go to the goal.
What struck me most about this story was that when Jonathan returned to his tribe, he was radically different from what he was walking in, he shone and stood out from the crowd as strong, charismatic personalities stand out in our society. And this world led ordinary seagulls after him, because you can not believe this charisma and light!
And the most important mission of every leader who has brought himself up, to bring up his own kind, to help others go beyond.
This book is a prototype of many people, many events, many stories and myself.
