Greetings dear hivers, happy to participate in this initiative of the # top5 challenge of @radiohive in its week # 31, this time I love the challenge since I love trees, here I mention my 5 favorites.
El Ucaro (Bucida Soinosa)
Me encanta este hermoso árbol, cuando me mudé a mi casa propia sembré en el patio 2 Úcaros pequeños que luego de 10 años están grandes y frondosos. Debajo de ellos coloqué un banco y me siento bajo su sombra para disfrutar del aire fresco de la t arde y conversar con mis vecinas. Este árbol no crece más de 8 metros de altura con un tronco de 20 cm de diámetro, no necesita de mucha agua y sus ramas crecen en zigzag de forma horizontal. Es un árbol muy utilizado como bonsái y también puede crecer en macetas, me encanta la forma que se les puede dar cuando se podan.
I love this beautiful tree, when I moved to my own house I planted 2 small Úcaros in the yard that after 10 years are big and leafy. Beneath them I set up a bench and sit in their shade to enjoy the cool afternoon air and chat with my neighbors. This tree does not grow more than 8 meters in height with a trunk of 20 cm in diameter, it does not need much water and its branches grow in a zigzag horizontally. It is a tree widely used as bonsai and it can also grow in pots, I love the shape it can be given when pruned.
El Araguaney (Handroanthus chrysanthus o Tabebuia chrysantha)
EL 29 de mayo de 1948 fue decalarado el árbol nacional de Venezuela, pertenece a la especie chrisanta y su nombre significa “flor de oro”. Es un árbol muy hermoso ya que su floración aparece en forma masiva. Cuando hay muchos de estos árboles en un sitio todos florecen de manera sincronizada, regalándonos un bello espectáculo de ver. En el jardín botánico de mí ciudad Maracaibo cuando los Araguaney florecen me gusta visitarlo y disfrutar de su belleza.
On May 29, 1948, the national tree of Venezuela was declared, it belongs to the chrisanta species and its name means “golden flower”. It is a very beautiful tree since its flowering appears in massive form. When there are many of these trees in a place, they all bloom in a synchronized way, giving us a beautiful sight to see. In the botanical garden of my city, Maracaibo, when the Araguaneys bloom, I like to visit it and enjoy its beauty.
Árbol de Mango
Este árbol me trae muchos recuerdos de mi infancia, en el patio de mi casa habían enormes árboles donde nos trepábamos mis hermanos y yo para alcanzar su fruto, me gustan mucho los mangos y los que crecían en nuestro árbol eran muy dulces y jugosos. Este árbol puede alcanzar 45 m de altura con una copa de 30 m de diámetro, en Venezuela muchos hogares tiene uno en sus patios.
This tree brings me many memories of my childhood, in the backyard of my house there were huge trees where my brothers and I climbed to reach its fruit, I really like mangoes and the ones that grew on our tree were very sweet and juicy. This tree can reach 45 m in height with a 30 m diameter crown, in Venezuela many homes have one in their patios.
Árbol de Sakura o de Cerezo
Sólo he visto este árbol en las películas y novelas coreanas, me recuerda al Araguaney pero en color rosa, es muy hermoso. Es uno de los símbolos de la cultura japonesa; Sakura en japonés significa “cerezo”. Para los japoneses la flor de cerezo simboliza inocencia, sencillez, belleza y el renacimiento que trae la primavera. Me gustaría poder visitar Japón y poder verlos, sería como ver un cielo color rosa.
I have only seen this tree in Korean movies and novels, it reminds me of Araguaney but in pink, it is very beautiful. It is one of the symbols of Japanese culture; Sakura in Japanese means "cherry tree". For the Japanese, the cherry blossom symbolizes innocence, simplicity, beauty and the rebirth that spring brings. I wish I could visit Japan and see them, it would be like seeing a pink sky.
Árbol de Cotoperíz
En casa de mis abuelos paternos había un árbol de Cotoperiz donde también nos trepábamos para comer su fruto, muy parecido al mamón. Me encanta este árbol ya que además de regalarnos su rico fruto, es una planta que proporciona mucha sombra.
In my paternal grandparents' house there was a Cotoperiz tree where we also climbed to eat its fruit, very similar to the sucker. I love this tree because in addition to giving us its rich fruit, it is a plant that provides a lot of shade.
