Es un reto para mi participar en esta iniciativa que me causa un poco de pesar porque me remonta a mis raíces. Cuando estamos lejos de casa, y más aun fuera del país, lo que más anhelamos es ese calor de hogar, de familia, la comunión de tus seres queridos y sobre todo anhelas la comida de tu región.
También es un reto porque he tenido que hacer un curso intensivo de cómo utilizar la plataforma, a través de videos y asesorías vía redes sociales para poder participar, éste sería mi primer post, por decir, y quiero realizarlo hablando de mi madre y de mi esposa que han sido las mujeres más importantes de mi vida y de las que más anhelos sus platos de comida.

Con mi madre, la convivencia no fue muy asidua ya que su trabajo no le permitía tantas horas libres para dedicarle a la familia, enfermera de profesión y con cargos de responsabilidad. Sin embargo cuando tenía sus tienpos libres, nos los dedicaba a mi hermana y a mi con sus deliciosos platos, sobre todo su arroz con pollo, crecimos comiendo el arroz con pollo más delicioso que nadie en esos tiempos podía superar, ni el más afamado chef del Oriente lo superó.

When we are far from home, and even more so outside the country, what we most yearn for is that warmth of home, family, the communion of your loved ones and above all you long for the food of your region. It is also a challenge because I have had to do an intensive course on how to use the platform, through videos and advice via social networks to participate, this would be my first post, so to speak, official and I want to do it talking about my mother and from my wife who have been the most important women in my life and from whom I most yearn for their plates of food. With my mother, the coexistence was not very assiduous since her work did not allow her so many free hours to dedicate to the family, a nurse by profession and with positions of responsibility. However, when she had her free time, she dedicated them to my sister and me with her delicious dishes, especially her rice with chicken, we grew up eating the most delicious rice with chicken that no one in those times could beat, not even the most famous chef in the world. The East overcame it.

Luego, muchos años después, lo superó el de mi esposa, aunque no están las esposas en el renglón de la iniciativa, no puedo dejarla por fuera. Mi esposa ha sido un pilar muy importante en mi vida y ha ejercido no sólo el papel de esposa, sino de amante, amiga, confidente, madre, la mejor mujer que pude escoger para madre de mis hijas y la que hace el mejor arroz con pollo que haya comido jamás, nadie ha podido superarlo ni siquiera el de mi mamá. Su arroz con pollo reune una combinación de sabores que no quieres dejar de comer. Un arroz suelto pero no seco, combinado con pollo, chuleta ahumada, zanahorias,maíz y guisantes y acompañado con tajadas de plátano frito. Ummmmmmmm, muero por él.

Then, many years later, my wife's surpassed it, although the wives are not in the line of the initiative, I cannot leave it out. My wife has been a very important pillar in my life and has played not only the role of wife, but also of lover, friend, confidant, mother, the best woman I could choose for the mother of my daughters and the one who makes the best rice with chicken I've ever eaten, no one has been able to beat it, not even my mom's. Her rice with her chicken brings together a combination of flavors that you don't want to stop eating. A loose but not dry rice, combined with chicken, smoked cutlet, carrots, corn and peas and served with slices of fried plantain. Ummmmmmmm, I'm dying for him.

Cómo quisiera regresar a mi país. Estando lejos de casa, es cuando más valor le das a lo que se te hace difícil alcanzar y te hace feliz. El arroz con pollo siempre ha sido mi comida favorita y la que más he disfrutado estando en casa y la que más anhelo ahora que estoy fuera.

How I would like to return to my country. Being away from home is when you give more value to what is difficult for you to achieve and makes you happy.
