We've all had dreams as children about "what we want to be" or, perhaps more precisely, "what we want life to be like," when we're grown up. I'm not sure anyone wants to dream about becoming a fireman or a police officer, but more likely athletes or rock stars.
And then when we lose childhood innocence and reality sets in we end up doing what we're doing now. Maybe one day, however, I'll still become a cartoonist and write for a living. 😃 And design games, too!
