With the Mrs home for the weekend, Silvertop’s goal was to plant six more Austrian pine trees today!😇 “Then Honey if you want, we can hike over to the valley overlook at Westergreen ‘s forest!🥰 I needed to refill a five gallon bucket with mulch……………. Coffee in one hand, and a shovel and bucket in the other, I walked up to my mulch pile. I stopped in my tracks……………..😮 “ Well hello Mrs Deer, how are you this morning?” The second and then third photo, is where I spotted this girl! She was bedded down, enjoying the morning sunshine!😊 I quietly went back inside to get Liz…………. “Silvertop, don’t disturb her, let her rest!”🥰 I’ll be quiet Liz, I need to set up for my tree planting….😇 When I came back out Mrs. Deer was slowly walking into our woods! “ She must like it here Liz!” Onward to my planting…………… You would think that everywhere in the Pacific Northwest the ground would be rich and fertile! Not so………🤔 Where I was planting today, had only six inches of topsoil, and then what they call “Hard Pan”!😮 From each hole, I removed a five gallon bucket of poor soil, and replaced it with rich black soil from deep in my woods!😇 “Liz hike at 4 PM ?”🥰 Several times the rain started to pickup as we were hiking, and we both thought about turning around and heading home! “Honey we will be at the overlook in about eight minutes” The rain stopped……………… “We made it Liz, let’s go home, I’m sure @actifit-lamb wants OUT of your backpack!”😇 Lamb came along for today’s hike, but refused to get her fur wet Lol!🤣 Hmmm…………………… “ Lamb, this IS the Pacific Northwest Lol!”🤣 Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊 All photos taken by me😊
